These guys towed my car. That was my bad; I misunderstood the signs and ended up parking illegally. I can't blame them for doing their jobs. But they towed my AWD car without a flatbed. When I paid -- cash only, BTW! -- the instrument panel lit up like a Christmas tree. I'm lucky my car was still under warranty, because I ultimately had to have my rear differential replaced when my transmission gave out. These guys rush over and remove the vehicles inconveniencing me. They towed our car while my son and I were at a hockey game at the Tsongas Arena. We had to walk three miles at night, in the middle of February, to reach their establishment. They demanded $130 cash to release our car, but my ATM card wasn't working and all I had was $40. They wouldn't take a check, and even though there were AmEx and MasterCard stickers on the door, they refused to accept credit cards. The desk guy, Sean, kept pointing to a sheet of paper torn from a notebook where someone had scrawled (in magic marker), 'towing and storage charges must be paid in cash.' We live 20 miles away, and my wife was sick in bed and not answering the phone. I tried explaining this to Sean, but he got defensive, and finally kicked my son and I out of his office into the cold. I fortunately was able to contact an old fraternity brother to come bail us out. But while there, we witnessed 8 or 9 other groups of people who had been towed from that hockey game. All of them had to travel three miles to get their car, and pay cash. It's sad when a company needs to resort to such strong-arm tactics to make a profit. read more

Extremely unprofessional. They do not keep someone on staff at their lot so if you try to pick up a vehicle you will have to wait until one of their drivers shows up. I was told to wait 40 minutes before someone would be there. An hour later I call up asking where the driver is and I was told he would "get there when he gets there" and hung up on. read more

The drivers AND OWNER for this company are extremely rude and disrespectful. In a past incident, I parked in front of my apartment to unload some heavy furniture and not 2 minutes had passed after we had gone inside and come back out to move the car and the driver was parked in front of us demanding a drop fee to release the car he hadn't even picked up yet. After he threatened to call the police (for me refusing to get out of the drivers seat, after he threatened to tow it with me in it, which is very illegal) we decided to pay up just to avoid a headache, and he proceeds to SNATCH the money out of my hand and call me a "dumba**" and "a piece of s***," all while smugly pointing at the camera saying this is all on tape. I WAS parked in a fire lane (for all of 2 minutes), so I'm not complaining about them attempting to tow me, I'm complaining about the terrible attitude the driver had towards me when I came out and calmly said "c'mon man give us a break we've been here 2 minutes and had heavy stuff to bring in," as well as how nonchalantly I was blown off on the phone when I called to complain to their dispatch (which was probably just the driver himself answering the phone, as is the case with incident described below), and how obvious it was he just pulled up to demand a drop-fee. Tonight in a separate incident, we were just walking into our apartment building (no tow involved), when the driver was making his rounds. It's been snowing heavily with a couple inches on the ground, and we are about to walk across the parking lot to our apartment entrance. The driver, instead of stopping to let us pass, guns it to go around and up a steep hill, which could have easily made him lose traction, kick the back end of his truck out and hit us. Luckily this didn't happen, but it is a testament to how unsafely he drives (do you trust your car with them when they drive like that?). If he had stopped and waiting the 30 seconds for us to pass, he could have just gone up the flat part of the parking lot, without needing to stomp on the gas to get up there. So I called the dispatch number immediately after this incident, and after I made my complaint it turns out I got the OWNER on the phone, who was ALSO the DRIVER at the time. After he gives me a flimsy excuse that "[we] were walking in front of him so [he] had to do that" (we were about 5 feet away from him, and you HAD to gun it to get around a pedestrian?), he then tells me "I'm still here, come outside so we can discuss it" in an intimidating tone. Of course I refused (what good is going to come of me confronting him? none), instead opting to complain to the apartment manager once the weekend is over. I hope they lose their contract because they clearly don't know how to act in a professional manner, even the OWNER is rude and combative. They have made me nervous to park my car in a lot I pay to park in, and I've felt the need to go keep an eye on my car after complaining to them because of the anger issues their drivers seem to have. Even posting such specific details in this review makes me nervous because of the attitudes the drivers have shown to have, but I feel people need to know how bad they are. Gulbicki's has been a major reason we have decided to leave our current apartment at the end of our lease. Avoid at all costs, even if the other guys charge more. read more

This company is ruthless and unprofessional. They towed my car, from an area that is not marked as illegal to park - NO signs - but chose not to tow a car parked in the same area. The dispatcher's excuse was 'the owner of that vehicle always parks illegally but comes out when we show up". When I called back to tell them that I had my three year old child with me, on an 18 degree night, and had no money with me, he told me there was nothing they could do. When I replied they could easily allow me to just take the car home, he hung up on me and refused to take my FOUR subsequent calls!! When I called back from a friend's cell phone the Gulbicki's employee answered the phone "WHO IS THIS"? He agreed at that point to knock $40 off the price off the $140 tow. When we showed up to pick up the car, the tow truck driver reeked of alcohol. Great, a tow truck driver who is drunk driving. Real nice job, Gulbicki's!!! read more
