Good news: The only reason I don't give 1 star is because I did finally receive my shirts and I look amazing in them. Also, Guillermo was nothing but respectful and courteous the few times I had an appointment with him. Bad news: It took him over 4 MONTHS to make 5 shirts, and they weren't even bespoke (hand-sewn), just custom-made (machine-sewn), which means they could've been done a LOT sooner. I'm new to the tailoring purchase, so I paid upfront like he asked, and I told him to take his time, even if it takes the whole 2 months before the holidays, and relied on Guillermo to make a decision on what to make from the 8 different shirt examples I showed him. I then waited a month for him to at least send me a decision on the shirts he would make, if not also arrange my first fitting. Neither came until I bugged him about it. I missed opportunities to get a headshot done in my new clothes, a professional meeting, and a holiday event. I told him a couple of times that I can deal with not being ready for me if he tells me ahead of time, but it makes the whole experience unpleasant when I show up and stuff isn't ready. He said he'd do better, but of the 3 fittings I had, only one resulted in my taking the agreed-upon clothes home. He made me wait 4 weeks just for a couple of zippers (his idea) to arrive from NYC! In the end, they were never used because he thought it "didn't look right", so I waited an additional month for nothing, for sure. Every time I was told that they weren't ready, or he cancelled an appointment as I was driving there, he had his mom being hospitalized as an excuse. This was AFTER the first month of waiting and fitting. After 3 months and I finally started asking for a refund for the remaining 2 shirts, he managed to crank them out over the next 2 weeks. Then he made one with material I didn't pick! I was so excited when I first got my measurements, but by the time I picked up the last corrected shirt, I couldn't wait to be out of there and couldn't even enjoy my purchase for a few days. I learned a lot about tailoring requirements, time frames and terminology from this. Now I know what to expect and demand upfront with the next tailor, as I won't be going back to Guillos Tailor. read more

Went there for alterations, upon entering the place I thought: "there is no way I could afford this!". A true tailor shop!! Mr. Pérez came out from the back and first impression: calm, kind eyes and jovial. The way he handles screams professional but he keeps the atmosphere super light. Long story short I was out of the shop in less than 15 minutes with only one regret: I never took the Before picture so I could showcase what he did and spare you this dissertation. I must say I'm very unhappy with his work. He charged $320 to alter a prom dress, which the price was fine had he done the work he was hired to do. He was supposed to take it in dress at the corset. He did not take it in at all. He was supposed to add additional loosely hanging sleeves. He did not add them only the straps. We requested additional sequins added to the top of the dress. He added them but they were poorly sewn on. He came highly recommended, but I totally regret using his service. He even forgot one day that he made an appointment with us. I drove over an hour to get there for him to tell us that he hadn't done anything to the dress. He made a once in a lifetime experience for my niece a nightmare. read more

First timer: Great service. Great price (compared to other tailors) & GREAT Turnaround service. I heard about Guillos Tailor when my friend brought him a dress right before he was suppose to leave. He took her dress with no complains and got it done that week! I brought Guillermo my Fiancé's 3 piece suit, Monday afternoon. He had some business to handle Thursday so told me he would have it done by Wednesday. Mind you it was a lot of tailoring!!! I called to see what time I could pick up Wednesday and he told me it would be done by Tuesday. To top it all off the suit fit GREAT! I also got my work pants hem & they fit great. read more

He literally saved my evening gown!! I got a beautiful evening gown for 600$, it was ruined by another tailor she cut it super short and what is worse it was uneven and unhemmed. I was literally crying that I will go to my brother's wedding with an uneven dress that looks so ugly. My husband recommended that I try Guillos, I went to him hopless and I was leaving the country in 24 hours. The wedding huge family reunion with a lot of pictures that will stay forever. He transformed the dress!! Imagine he had less than 1 inch to work with, but managed to make it in less than 24 hours [ the dress was multipule layers, needed a lot of work] I was worried I will have to wear flats but now I will wear a 3 inches shoes on it. AVOID THIS BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS. I paid Mr. Guillo upfront for a suit (my mistake for paying upfront) and did not receive the suit for TWO YEARS. In fact I never received the suit because he continually blew me off every time I tried to pick it up. Ended up just forgoing the suit and demanding a refund. Can't believe I wasted so much time over the last two years dealing with this guy. He was happy to cash my check but couldn't be bothered to get work done unless I reminded him. Took months and months just to get a first fitting, and months in between each fitting thereafter. Every time we had an appointment for me to try on (or later to pick up) the suit he would blow me off over and over and over again. He always had some sob story or excuse why he couldn't deliver on time or show up for the appointment. Sometimes the excuses were that he was working on other customers orders that needed to get done first. Other newer customers...when I should have been the priority after TWO YEARS of waiting. Incredibly unethical. If anyone out there is thinking of using him as a tailor, think again. That is, unless you (1) don't care that your item will take MONTHS if not YEARS to be complete, (2) don't mind rearranging your plans over and over to accommodate the countless times he will make an appointment and then blow you off, and (3) enjoy spending your time calling him and nagging him to work on your item. If all of the above are true, then by all means use him. If not, you should take your business elsewhere. read more

I am SO glad I found this place! I lived back east and had a long coat for over 20 years that was getting too ratty to wear. I took it in to Guillermo, had a consultation and picked fabrics. I was second guessing myself with my fabric choice so he ordered in a new fabric which was PERFECT. It took a while to get due to shipping backlogs (thanks covid) but was worth the wait. My Grandmother was a professional seamstress so I understand things that look very simple frequently are not and my coat was one of those. While not inexpensive, I know what I paid was more than fair for beautiful, quality CUSTOM work. I will still use my drycleaner to hem jeans, but for REAL tailoring and custom clothing, look no further. read more

We went to get 2 custom made shirts for my husband in March 2017. We had to deposit $250. or half the cost. After many calls, we went in for a fitting and the shirt looked like an off the shelf bought shirt - way too wide for him - even though he had the measurements.
