We stopped by here for an early dinner before my flight out of Burbank. I didn't expect the whole board game vibe but it wasn't unwelcome. I enjoy these type of bars in general so it was a welcome break from all the other bars I patronize when I'm in LA. I ended up ordering the burnt ends mac and cheese it was just all right. I guess it sounds better on paper but it definitely wasn't bad. The bartenders were especially cool so I'd normally put this at 3 stars but they take it up a notch. Love this place! I went there for the first time about three weeks ago while I was looking for possible spots to have my birthday party. The food was delicious, the staff is super nice and friendly, and the general atmosphere is fun and laid-back so I decided to celebrate my birthday there. I'm so glad I did! So far, the food I've tried has all been delicious. The meat and cheese plate has a good combination of meets, cheeses, bread and olives. The chicken in the chicken sandwich is tasty, well seasoned, and juicy. The dipping sauces (I forget why I had dipping sauces, lol, we just ordered a bunch of appetizers) were all yummy. The crispy chicken strips looked really good but alas, I was too slow! I'll have to go back to try those :). They also have a good variety of drinks and lots of fun games. What an awesome place I must say!!! We are celebrating a friend's birthday and about 8 of us there. Lots of energy, fun, such a happy place. Spencer, the owner is super cool and so on top of things. If you like drinking, watching people twitch, playing boars games and decent food this is the place for you! I experienced my first time at Guild Hall and had a great time!! The staff was really friendly and they have a nice drink selection, some beers, and wine. I ordered the chicken tenders which were delicious! It came with some celery and carrots along with I believe it as ranch dipping sauce and buffalo sauce. I later ordered the popcorn which I wasn't too much of a fan of. I suggest maybe going a little earlier. My friend said it's usually not crowded but my friends and I did end up waiting about 45 minutes to get a table. It was a Friday night around 9:30. There's a very nice board game selection. There are tons of different options from Catan, to Codenames to Jenga etc. There are two gender neutral restrooms located in the back. Went to this establishment on a weeknight and it wasn't packed at all, which was great! They have a lot of board games, looks like over 100? And their food and drink menus are quite broad! Also, instead of sports on the tv like you would usually see at bars; they had esports and streaming! I ended up having the 1903 beer, it was a light beer which reminded me of other light beers but it was a crisp and refreshing taste! Possibly because I paired it with some good food choices. For food I went with the chicken tenders and popcorn. The chicken tenders had a dry rub that had a light spice to it and it was accompanied with heirloom carrots and celery. The taste was a perfect mix of spicy kick and perfectly cooked chicken! I suggest getting extra ranch to pair with it because the small cup things for sauce don't hold much! The other dish I ordered was the popcorn because it includes duck fat. I've never had anything like this popcorn before so it's hard to explain- usually if you have popcorn or chips in front of you--- you just keep eating and eating because of the salt. In this case I kept eating all the popcorn because the unique taste or kernel mixed with duck fat. It is very inexpensive and unique- highly suggest if you have never had it m! Also, they sell it separately in a bag too! Overall, I would say this is possibly the best nerd based environment with great food I have had in Los Angeles so far! (And I've only been there once!) COST: Varies If you'd walked in to the previous bar that was in this space, you'd feel like walking into a complete alternate dimension with GuildHall. Holy hell they did such a great job revamping the new place. It feels energetic and brand new. Wooden floorings, cushion seats, new tables and seats, high ceilings and now very very well lit... the biggest upside? It is now an e-Sports/board games club! There are tons of board games available. There are now equally as many TVs adorning the whole place. The whole food menu has been updated as well that rivals Tonys Darts Away. The beer selection is nothing to scoff at either. I especially appreciate that they're only featuring LA and surrounding areas brews. There's also a full bar for those who prefer that option. GuildHall is a really cool establishment and unexpectedly classy for an eSports bar. I was pleasantly surprised at how spacious and well designed it was. I stopped in to watch an Overwatch League game. The bartender was very helpful when it came to helping me choose a drink, and I had fun chatting with him about the game. Guildhall is a fun, happy, very welcoming e-Spots and boardgames bar and I think a very important move forward in the future of what people will come to expect in a modern digital era. High quality full bar. And food that shocks me every time. They make from scratch as much as they can and it really shows. Huge selection of 100+ great board games to play so makes for a fun night with friends but all TVs are only showing online video games being played. Interesting, elegant, weird, sophisticated, hyper local, extremely diverse, all-inclusive, and absolute non-stop fun. A much needed experience for anyone. Guildhall has quickly become one of my new favorite spots, and one visit is all it takes to see this. From the moment you walk in the door any one of the amazing Guildhall team immediately makes you feel welcome and invited. The atmosphere of an upscale bar with the attitude of a gamers' den is just the beginning of what you'll feel during your visit. All of the TV's are playing Esports from Twitch (forgive me as I've just learned about this tonight!) and just around the corner from the bar/kitchen area is a large wall shelf filled with almost any board game you could want. I've posted a photo of this beauty below. The atmosphere is one you don't want to leave and it'll keep you coming back time and time again. Even though that in and of itself is enough to warrant a 5 star review, the food and menu deserves a separate 5 star review as well. The kitchen has been consistent each time I've been here in both haste and quality. You know exactly what you're getting and you can actually expect it to be like that the next time you order it. The menu, while simple, is not so simple in taste and quality. The chicken tenders aren't like any I've ever had and I've found myself craving them already. I know, but just wait until you try them... What a lovely place. As soon as we walked in, there was a sense of warmth and welcome - including a very friendly greeting from a bartender on the way in. Almost involuntarily, as I ordered my first drink, I exclaimed to the bartender "this place is great!" It was a Saturday night, and crowded, but not to the point where we ever had to shove past anyone to get to the bar, or smash ourselves in to a tiny table. I had a group of 8 friends, we staked out a table and stayed all night. Of course, my fuzzy feelings towards Guildhall can probably be attributed to the crowd itself. As cliche as it is to consider yourself a "nerd," I just felt comfortable here. It made me wonder: is this what sports fans feel when they walk into a sports bar? If so, maybe I get it now. We went to GuildHall for lunch and drinks before going to the Overwatch League game down the street. It was a really great experience and we will definitely be back. The Bartender Chris was super friendly and chit chatted with us while we had our lunch at the bar. The TVs were playing different Twitch streamers and Chris even asked us what games we wanted to watch streaming. I ordered the chicken sandwich and it was delicious! The house made bacon cheese on the sandwich was amazing and really made the meal. The bar is really cool because it has a huge collection of board games, twitch streaming, and cool nerdy art work. I LOVE this place! Came here last night after spotting it across the street from Petco. It's a small little bar that ACTUALLY shows eSports and video game streams. Only thing they need is to show RAW and SMACKDOWN and WWE PPV events and I would be living here. Tons of board games, and currently brand spankin' new so it's the best time to visit before it gets packed.... cause it's worthy of that... Drinks and a lite bite menu... This review is overdue! I love this place! Not only was the food delicious. The atmosphere was fun, and the service was great! We had the wrap, chicken sandwich, and the "Death Star" Panna Cotta. The Panna Cotta was definitely the most fun. Highly recommend! With their wall board games, entertainment is not lacking here. Plus they stream competitive online gaming. I admit, this is a profession I know next to nothing about. And yet, I still found it fascinating! I'm happy to see a place like this exists in LA/Burbank. It's a place where you can kick back. First off ask for Amanda! She is seriously the perfect example for how every server should be. Attentive, so so SO admirably kind, and very patient. The food was amazing. My friend and I got the Brussel sprouts, the smoked brisket Mac & cheese, and the chicken strips. The chicken strips are a game changer, coated in tortilla chips I didn't expect much but they were bursting with flavor. The Mac & cheese was delightful. The brisket was in perfect pieces, I recommend getting a side of bbq sauce with the dish for a little extra zing of flavor. The Brussel sprouts were tasty tasty tasty. GuildHall - Smoked Brisket Mac & Cheese - Beer Bar Near Me - Burbank, California

Since its soft launch last week, I've frequented the place quite a bit, and this is what I've taken away from it: This is not your average bar, Guildhall is an esports bar--and actually the first to boast that title in all of Southern California as far as my quick Google search could tell--with killer cocktails, an awesome beer tap of local breweries, and to die for food. This means that you won't find any traditional sports on their tvs, but rather, a whole slew of live streamed video games. On top of that, they have a growing selection of board games for people to play while they enjoy their food and drinks, which really adds to the already welcoming atmosphere. As I mentioned before, their beers are all from local breweries: Craftsman, Verdugo West, Golden State, Eagle Rock, Artifex, Brewery Rex, and El Segundo. The latter which crafted a signature beer for the bar by the name of Creep Wave--I'm usually not big on IPAs, but this one is a must try. The food, oh my goodness, I could write an entire review on this menu alone (I've eaten everything on their soft launch menu and not a single thing has disappointed me) but I will speak to my 2 favorites: The chicken strips and the burger. Burger first. The Juicy Lucy, as they call it, is the perfectly sized mouth-watering concoction of beef, cheese, onions, and pickles. The patty is stuffed with the cheese so you get the gooey goodness just squeezing out with every bite. And if you get it with their potato chips (which are made fresh in house!) it becomes the perfect meal to down a beer--or four--with. Now for the chicken strips, these are worth mentioning because they're not your standard bread-coated-oversized chicken nuggets, oh no, they're tortilla chip coated. It sounds strange, but the result is a perfectly crunchy coating that gives way to the soft and juicy white meat--and it's gluten free! The cocktail worth mentioning is the Heart of Gold, it's a mix of Pimm's, mandarin liquor, and lemon that just goes down so smoothly and just fills your soul with warm, happy feelings. The whole place really is just a little slice of heaven, it's nerdy, but not to the point of being a cliche. It's a welcoming environment with an amazing staff, plenty of entertainment, and a phenomenal menu. This place is great. Thankfully, it's over 21, so no kids allowed (which drives me crazy at Tony's Darts with screaming kids and complaining toddlers). This is a place for gamers- great place to meet friends and play some really cool board games and have a few drinks. Good lighting so you can see what's going on with your game. This is a really fun bar, I've been here both for work happy hours and for evenings with friends. They've got a great selection of games and there's always something you actually want to play available. And that's just the board game aspect. There's always some form of esports streaming which is fun to watch (usually Dead By Daylight the times I've gone) and their food is SO GOOD. I was really surprised by the bar food. The popcorn? My boyfriend and I tried this place out last night Monday at around 8pm and it was poppin'. Great atmosphere and service. We sat at the bar, Collin was our bartender/server and ordered a couple drinks and two Juicy Lucy's with potato chips... I haven't had a good burger in a while and let me just tell you I highly recommend the burgers. So juicy and the flavors were to die for. 8 OZ of good quality meat with crunchy pickles, caramelized onions and omg the sauce....my mouth is watering just thinking about it. I finished my burger so fast, didn't bother to come up for air and even took a bite of my boyfriends... Drinks were very well made and you actually get alcohol! I had 3 drinks and felt pretty good when we got into our Lyft to go home. They had twitch streams on every screen and a buttload of games. We will definitely be repeat customers. read more

So today was our first time visiting, we were frequently at The office. So, we were a bit hesitant about this new "esports and board game" bar. The bar has had new renovations done. Very nice actually. New flooring, ceilings and restrooms had a face lift too. They offer local craft beers and the food... Well I can't rave over it any more. They really hit the ball out of the park with it. We tried the crispy chicken tenders and the house potatoe chips (x2) they were GREAT! Food is on point. So, the beers... They are local craft beers, I'm personally not a big beer drinker. So as a first timer trying these beers. I would of preferred a sample rather than being stuck with an okay beer. They don't have pitchers available. But whatever, overall the bartender was very welcoming and very nice. I believe his name was Collin. They have a wall worth of board games and esports on the tv's. Which is okay. I'm not into it, but didn't mind it. I would suggest music playing in the background or at least the tv's off mute. I'm at a bar last thing I want hear is myself think. This place is great! We tried the cheeseboard which was the highlight of our dining experience there. The juicy lucy burger was decent, I think the cheese exploded right away because when I bit into the burger there was no more cheese in the middle but other than that it was cooked perfectly and it was flavorful. We also tried their chicken tenders which were good too. I wish I could remember what beer my husband got but it was like a light stout and it was good. Didn't get to try the other beers and cocktails but it's just another reason to come back. We got to try some new board games which was fun and hopefully their collection continues to grow. Wonderful atmosphere. Full service bar with appetizers. Lighting is great, nice and dim. Love the fact that they have a designated "order here" section for drinks at the bar, meaning faster service, faster drinks. On the menu I tried the Tonberry, which being a huge lemon drop fanatic has topped my all favorite vodka infused drink. The appetizer we tried were the Crispy Chicken Strips. The strips were a tad on the dry side, but ask for some Franks red hot on the side and woah amazing. The bartender is so friendly. We even met the owner Spencer. Cheers on the bar!
