I had the pleasure of dining at Gui Gui for the first time recently, and I must say, it was an intriguing experience. The restaurant offers an array of skewer options, making it a go-to destination for foodies seeking variety in their dining experience. The meat, particularly the beef, was of exceptional quality, but the portions could have been more generous for the price.
We had the opportunity to try almost everything on the menu, except for the cheese options, and were overall impressed with the flavors. Additionally, the diverse assortment of dipping sauces and side dishes complemented the skewers perfectly, making for an enjoyable meal. However, I would recommend steering clear of the chicken options as they aren't anything special. It's also worth noting that the gopchang (intestines) and fried rice (or any oil fried dishes) were really greasy, which detracted somewhat from the overall enjoyment of the meal.
The staff at Gui Gui were fast on their feet, sometimes even too fast. While it was nice to be served with urgency, there were instances where it felt like we were being rushed to finish so they could serve the new set of customers. That being said, the service was efficient and attentive, and our needs were always promptly attended to. Overall, the staff was friendly and professional, making for a pleasant dining experience.
So although the ambience at Gui Gui is lively and bustling, it may not be the best choice for those seeking a quiet, intimate dinner. This restaurant is more geared towards nightlife enthusiasts and those looking for a vibrant bar scene. Overall, Gui Gui is a great place to grab some high-quality skewers and indulge in a lively dining experience with friends and family. read more
