One of a kind. Like stepping back in time, or into Italy...with class, authenticity, friendly greetings, delicious food and intimate ambiance. Don't forget to hit up the ATM across the street before, because like the retro feel you get, it is cash only, BYOB. You walk up to the restaurant feeling like you are in Sardinia or Rome and park at a table outside because it's a summer evening in NJ and you love to people watch. The waiters treat you like friends and/or family. Did you forget to bring your own wine, no problem! You can order from your table and they deliver right to you from the wine bar down the street! The wine shop was super helpful even over the phone! First they bring you super soft Italian bread with garlic olive oil to dip in and toasts with white bean salad, perfection! Then your wine arrives and the waiter opens for you and puts on ice while you order your food. You absolutely need the squash blossoms in your life. I've had a lot of them (it feels like a trending thing lately?) but these were by far the best in recent memory. So tender, so cheesy, they actually melt on the tongue. For my main I got a zucchini pasta with fried zucchini on top and the flavor was perfection! While we were eating Jack the owner came over and serenaded us several times, along with other tables! Then sat and talked with us about the restaurant and his favorite dishes to cook. For dessert we got the pistachio cheesecake which was incredible. So delicate with perfect pistachio flavor. Planning on coming every Friday because I need to be a local at this spot and try every.single.dish.

Enjoyed a good dinner on a Wednesday night before a concert at the Mayo Theatre. We sat inside & service was excellent. Water was always filled & the table cleared appropriately. The place filled up & was very busy. Tables inside were spaced out nicely but outside they appear very tight. Owner was walking around & does not allow baseball hats on your head while dining so my husband was not too thrilled to take his off as his hair was a mess under it. However, the owner allowed his grand-daughter to wear the shortest & tightest shorts at the front desk - that turned us off. For meals we had fried calamari, stuffed zucchini blossoms, bolognese, "braciolole" with pasta, shrimp fry diavo, & ravioli. Out of all those dishes, the only one we did not care for was the blossoms as they were filled w/cheese & took away from the delicateness of the blossom. We had coffee & cannoli's. Desserts are not made in house except the cannoli filling which was delish. Good place -would go back but perhaps sit outside so that my husband can wear his hat!

James stole the show. Great food with quality service. One minute you're enjoying dinner and the next you find yourself at AA for their vodka sauce. BYOB

Second visit here, and once again it was delicious. The rice balls are great, must try. Last visit I had cacio e pepe, and this time the carbonara. Both are great, but the CARBONARA was life changing, I would go back once a week just for that. Cash only but they accept venmo which is nice.

A-ok Italian standards served cheerfully on Morristown's best patio. Pasta dishes about $25, chicken and veal about $30. Bring your own Chianti and cash. The front wall opens wide here so even if you're inside, you're almost outside, which is good for all of us still a bit worried about virus exposure. But everybody wants to be outside and the patio seating is very close together. They start you with an amuse bouche of white beans on toast, a basket of sliced bread and a dish of oil with roasted garlic cloves. We tried the fried zucchini appetizer, thin sticks breaded lightly and fried perfectly, very good, $13. I tried the wild boar papperdelle , a modest portion of wide pasta, lightly sauced and topped with a bit of shredded pork, $25. My dining companion opted for the tagliatelle Bolognese, a fairly standard pasta and meat sauce, $21. Pasta portions here are just right for one person, you're probably not taking any leftovers home. Vegetarian rating: three stars, there's pasta with garlic and pepper, eggplant rollatini, salads, and appetizers like the zucchini or mozzarella. For Tuesday lunch they serve an "Italian taco," which they tell me is a breaded and fried chicken breast in the shape of a shell and filled with all kinds of goodies, have to try that sometime!

Guerriero's has been constantly fantastic for the 20 years we've been coming. They are as close to my grandmother's cooking as I can get.

We're all glad we did. We were seated downstairs, which was a little 'basementy" (not a real word)... but not terrible either. It was a bit more quiet than it was upstairs, so it evens out. We had 2 orders of Chicken vino bianco, 2 orders of branzini (o), one order of Veal piccata and my bucatini with clams, shrimp and bay scallops. (in a nice white wine sauce) and everyone enjoyed their meal. Decent sized portions and very good service will probably find us back here next time we're in the Morristown area. ... and it's a BYOB.

The waitress came over to tell us the specials and take our food/drink orders. We were served fresh bread, which was delicious and we were able to request more once we finished it. Food: calamari to start was crispy and lightly breaded, definitely something I'd order again. I got the special, which was handmade papardelle with short rib ragu. It was good, but could have used more short rib - there was only a few pieces for a pretty hefty portion of pasta. My boyfriend got the shrimp parm, which was a huge portion and also really good. It's BYOB, but still perfect for date night or a celebration - the seating isn't too close together and it isn't too loud. Would love to come back and try something else!

We walked in 15 minutes later and he literally pointed to a booth where our two Detroit reds were just set up and waiting on us- we felt like royalty! On to the pizza- have tried many Detroit style pizzas over the years, I would say this was more Detroit "inspired", Aside from the edges, It had a soft bready crust - a little too fluffy compared to the crisp, almost focaccia-like crust we are accustomed to. Not to fret, it's still delicious! Quality pull on the cheese and the sauce holds its own. Some of the slices had the caramelized cheese halo and those were attacked first. Since we prepaid on the phone we didn't have the option to leave a tip. No worries, quick view of the sweet delights and we ordered some bombolones so that we could add a tip there!

While I liked the lounge vibe, the only downside for me was that I booked this place as a family dinner. If youre coming with friends or on a date this is great spot. If you're bringing family then the low lighting and loud music might not be ideal. In terms of food, I was really satisfied with everything I ordered, but I especially enjoyed the penne vodka and the eggplant parm. The vodka sauce was creamy without being overtly heavy making it easy to eat without getting bored of the flavor. The eggplant parm was also crispy but well layered with cheese and sauce that made each bite tasty. We also ordered chicken parm which was much larger than expected and chicken masala that was also seasoned well. For apps we did a house salad which felt fresh and ended with the chocolate layer cake for dessert. The cake was rich and indulgent with multiple layers ensuring each bite was layered with flavor. Our server was also very friendly and came by enough that we didn't have to flag him down but also had privacy to enjoy our meal as a family. I will definitely be coming back here with friends or as a date night. While I enjoyed the food, as a family meal I'd probably stick to takeout from here instead.
