It is indeed challenging to schedule an appointment within a reasonably short amount of time with any of the MDs, I attribute that to the general shortage in MDs and nothing specific to Dr. Kakimoto. She was once again dismissive, somewhat rude, showing no empathy or compassion. I felt like I was taking up her time in her busy day. She never was able to help me (with pain in left leg, hip area). She took all I said personally and defensive. Aren't doctors supposed to be trained or educated to deal with patients under pain? Again, No regard to pain I was having. No X-ray or MRI was offered. I had to ask for a physical therapy referral via online. I felt like I was diagnosing myself. She told me she didn't need new patients if I left and that she was one of the partners. Wow. Doctors need CARE model training or a refresher course if they want to keep their patients. She had the worst medical professional manners. Her words were just plain mean. No attempt on her part to create a relationship with a new patient. Very disappointing.

Her diagnostics and treatments are always correct. My parents have her as their family doctor for many years and nothing but excellent experience all these years. I recommended her to multiple friends, and Dr. Siksay literally saved lives of two of them by taking the correct path of treatment unlike other doctors whose treatments nearly killed them. It is very sad that there are not many doctors are such professional and knowledgeable as Dr. Siksay. She is incredible!

The feeling of "Bait & Switch" to fill the practice came to mind. You have the right not to take on new patients but you have the responsibility to take yourself of the available Dr's list.

This is now the second time I have tried calling the office and have been unable to get anyone to answer the phone. I left a voicemail, but during my previous experience, I did not receive a return call. I understand that medical offices can get very busy and staff may not always be able to answer every call immediately. However, patients should at least be able to expect that their voicemail will be returned within a reasonable amount of time, especially when they are trying to schedule an appointment or communicate with the office. I previously brought this concern to the attention of the receptionist/medical assistant, and they seemed surprised when I explained that I had difficulty reaching anyone by phone. Unfortunately, I am experiencing the same issue again. This is very inconvenient and frustrating, and I believe it deserves attention from management. A cardiology practice handles patients who may have important and sometimes time-sensitive concerns. Having a reliable way to reach the office is an important part of patient care. I hope management reviews how incoming calls and voicemails are being handled and makes improvements. I appreciate the medical care provided by the practice, but communication and accessibility also matter, and this has now become a recurring issue.

I practice more functionally based medicine than allopathic medicine. Dr Weiss is the most thorough provider I have seen in endocrine and I have seen a lot of other providers over the past 60 years. I feel that I have found also someone who can take wonderful care of my patients when I finally fully retire. My patients will be in wonderful caring hands. I am 71 but love my work. I will have to retire sometime. Dr Weiss is just the practitioner they need. They have found me looking for answers after so many other providers had failed. I had been dealing with major health problems for over a decade and have done everything holistic that exists, so I thought ok let me try the traditional medical model just to see. Granted, I am major hate of big pharma and the western healthcare anyway but wanted to cover all my bases and get an opinion. To book the appt they charged me $75 off the bat, which is fine (I am a chiro and I also work with patients and it sucks super bad to have people flake on you or no show so I get it). When I arrived they charged me for the rest of the visit before I was seen. Annoying in my opinion. I mean, what if we did more or less than what the standard office visit is? But ok, a lot of offices do this now so that's fine. The part that pissed me off is that I had sent in all my labs, and there was a lot about a week prior and the doc was 30 min late to my appt. I had to wait 30 min! Then she told me she was reviewing my labs. Um....as a doc myself I ALWAYS review the clients' info prior to the appt, not during or before to the point I am late. During the lengthy visit I went over all my problems and the doc gave me one holistic suggestion after the other, after the other, after the other, meditation, grounding work, supplements etc. When I specifically said hey I have done and do literally everything holistic under the sun. I want something different. After all that, she wanted to order more labs, labs that I had done literally a month prior that were extensive to see if they changed since. I made it clear I am a cash client with no insurance and money is tight. I was upset she wanted to take labs "to see." I asked her specifically what her gut was telling her could possibly be wrong with me and she did not know. It is ok for the doc to not know, but I would have felt more respected and cared for if she simply said "I do not know how to handle your case, and I do not have any idea what it could be realistically" instead of wanting to rack up huge lab bills. I am sure she is a great doc when it comes to the typical diabetes or something that is more well known, but for my case it was a large waste of $250. I went seeking her medical knowledge, skills, and opinions and did not get anything out of it. She is a really nice person and I am sure she is a great fit for a lot of people but I wanted to share my experience. In short, don't see her if you have a very complicated case that is across the board confusing.
