We hired Ande to design our kitchen cabinet layout as well as living room & dining room furniture/decor. She "sold" herself as an experienced professional designer. Her initial involvement was great. However, Once we received her layouts it was downhill from there. We quickly realized that she was not skilled or capable of coming up with a design that we wanted. Using very basic tools to draw up our kitchen. We had to FIX & CHANGE everything from her layout What we experienced: * LACKS knowledge about functionality and appliance placement. In her design she put my oven against the perimeter cabinets only leaving access to one side. * Lacks attention to detail. Our plumbing was incorrectly place due to her design. * Lack of follow through- was not present during ANY of the installs. * Lacks knowledge on creating basic mood board creation(she used a photo collage app/ see attached ) * Lacks listening skills. All her selections and suggestions were NOT my style and never could get it right. * Over promising/under delivering- her contract read that she would design kitchen layout and help with dinning, living and sitting room . She not only did not deliver an acceptable kitchen design, she did no work in other rooms as stated in contract. * Unethical- Ande is currently claiming that our kitchen was her design on social platforms. A design she did not create :/- her and her husband asked one of their subs to take professional pics of our home so she could submit it to design magazine as her own. She did that because she knew we would not approve of her taking credit. We DID NOT use ANY of her designs or ANY recommended selections. I've attached a copy of her "Final Design" it looks like NOTHING we built. In our experience with Ande, we found her to lack professional experience, maturity and accountability. Lastly, we unfortunately hired her husband as our GC and found multiple over charges on his invoices. We do not recommend.

We discussed the process, the fee, etc. She suggested that I get two shelfing racks and sent me a link to an inexpensive one. I ended up finding a used one on Facebook Marketplace so we were ready to go! So when the day arrived, there was Nancy, right on time. She estimated how much time it would take (and sure enough we did end the day right about at that time!). I really liked her process - we created zones that made sense based on how the space would be used (aka: baby items near the side of the car where we get the baby in/out of the car), holiday decorations in another area, etc etc. we broke down boxes, we posted some items on FB marketplace while we worked and sold and offloaded items we no longer wanted right then and there. Nancy was friendly, inquisitive and helpful. We made decisions quickly and in the end, I had one box from which I needed to make some decisions, and a box with laundry we needed to do, and everything else was labeled and in it's place. The thing that I like the most about Nancy is, while she can organize things to look Pinterest-worthy, she cared more about function, which I appreciate. There are certain areas of my home I would want to look pinterest worthy and would spend extra time and money to do so, but not the garage. I need it cleaned and organized. Easy peasy. And she gave us a system that we've been able to maintain.
