ARC never came to visit our home - while their competitors did this as a standard account management cycle. Fast forward to this week, I was ready to sign the agreement and pay the deposit - the rep asked me to confirm the 2x4 framing. I asked him how he wanted me to do this - he suggested I drill pilot holes in each wall or pay a 3rd party to do this and that ARC was not responsible for verifying the details of our home. Not responsible for validating a critical project detail before having you customer pay thousands of dollars?! Extremely poor customer service and frankly, a lazy sales team. I am sure the crews doing the work are great, but the accounts team could use a refresh. I will work with a competitor unless ARC has employees willing to visit their prospective customers!

Some of the reviews I see say they are closed, and very poor, I look at the location, and it isn't one of those on my quote. I had a crew show up yesterday, and I was surprised they were 3 nice clean cut English speaking young men. I give the crew 5 stars! They were all friendly and nice, and worked as a well oiled team. They answered my dumb questions politely, and they all were very hard workers. Even when they talked to each other they were polite, thank you, sir, could you, please are words I heard them use with each other, that really impressed me! I looked in on them occasionally during the day, and it looked like they were doing a good quality job. If the job doesn't make my house more comfortable, I can't blame the crew, loos like they did what was needed. They went over board on cleaning up, and putting things back in place. Only thing else I can say will be in a few months with a update on comfort level, and a hopeful decrease in my heating bills. We got insulation blown into the attic of the house and over the attached garage. The access to the main attic is in the master bedroom's closet ceiling. Through the course of the time they were here, I went up to get something and saw they had some of the old batting insulation just leaning up against the wall next to my bed without anything being covered. My husband, who works from home, also saw this and asked them to remove it and they said "yah, we'll get it all out before we're done". No sense of urgency. No respect for the fact that people SLEEP 2 feet from this large piece of insulation. They didn't wrap any of old insulation before carting it through the house. If I hadn't thought ahead and put up old sheets to cover most of our clothes, they absolutely wouldn't have done anything to protect the area. I say this with certainty because they did not put up one piece of drop cloth, inside the closet, nor down on the floors, nor did they bother to even minimally clean up the bits of insulation they left EVERYWHERE. I have two young kids, one of whom has asthma, and for over a week, I was cleaning up bits of pink insulation and vacuuming and re-vacuuming everything. I didn't sleep in my room for more than a week, trying to make sure it was clean enough to be safe. Every square foot of my home where they were, had bits of insulation. It's been almost a month since they did the job and I am still finding it places. I'm furious! The piece of board that covers the access has insulation visibly sticking out around the edges!! And to top it off, they didn't say a word when they were leaving. None of the usual 'here's what we did, we'll invoice you, do you have any questions" as is typical for any workers you have in your home. We just noticed that their truck wasn't in the driveway anymore and they didn't come back. The ONLY good thing I can say is that the insulation is really doing well keeping the summer heat out of the house, but that would be true no matter who installed it.
