I get it, working during Covid is hard. Supply Chain... Labor Shortages... I deal with it everyday in my own work.
While there may be shortages in material and help, boy did we find a surplus of excuses, poor workmanship, and lack of basic customer service.
Originally contracted to replaced the cushions and top on our boat. Was quoted a reasonable price and a 3 week turn around for completion. 2 and a half weeks post pick up of the old cushions and top I reached out to see how things were going. "Should be ready next week", no problem. Reached out a week later, no response.
I again texted now 2 weeks post anticipated delivery date and got a response that she was pulled away, ran into a material issue, but was back to work and would be the following week.
1 week later, checking in Gayle confirmed a Friday installation... YES!!!
Friday, "Sorry, I've had some interruptions so it will be tomorrow." Ok...
Saturday morning "I planned on being there at 10, but I am still working on the awning". Huh??? "I'll be there at 2"...
But wait, there's more...
1:07 pm text: "I'm sorry, I am going to have to say tomorrow, I need to finish but have been so busy."
Sunday 10:14 am text: "so here's the thing, I'm going to bring you the cushions, but I want to fit the top as I am afraid to finish it. The cushions would bring us even with your deposit so I can bring your old awning back together if you don't want to wait for the new one"... So I told her to bring the old top back when she brought the cushions Sunday afternoon. But she didn't bring it with her, "I'll have it back to you tonight, I need to sew it back together"...
Monday evening, she brings the old canopy back after she Frankesteined it back together and dropped it off in my driveway. Now today trying to put it back on and it doesn't fit.
