That means I need to find a contractor to replace that board adding to the cost of this project. Also, the stamping on one side of the deck was off kilter - no way to make that right. Worked with AG on a multipart/day project where he and his team expanded a slope, built a retaining…read morewall around that slope, carved out a section for gravel + wood stairs, and then backfilled the top with 1/4 clean crush gravel for a low maintenance finish. I added descriptions for each picture but you can tell there was a lot of care and detail that went into leveling out the area, digging out the soil, moving it to the wall area, and getting that pretty square corner out of these curved blocks! The right side of the stairs (looking at it) is sloped and supported by the dirt that's also supporting the retaining wall. The left side is a sharp dirt edge which we left like that with a bit of a gap for a future fence, so no point smoothing it out. Very communicative, happy to make adjustments, double checked that everything was well explained before working on it, and reasonably priced. They got this job done in no time and made some intense work look easy, highly recommend.

(We've been getting a steady stream of compliments about the new sidewalk from passersby.) But what really made this company stand out was the people. Every one of the team members was genuine, thoughtful, kind, and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting them, and learning about each other. After they finished the job, we asked them if they might be willing to move a giant pile of sod that had been sitting in our back yard for two years. They came back out with the same great attitude, did the job at a fair price, and cleaned up the work site afterwards. We couldn't be happier. When it's time to replace our other old concrete, we won't hesitate to call them. If you're in need of concrete work, call these guys first. You won't be disappointed.

I waited a few days and then contacted him. "Oh - family emergency, we will start next week." Next week comes by and still no one comes. I wait a few days again and contact him again. "Oh - I injured my foot - next week for sure." I wait for the next week and again no one shows up. I wait a few days and contact him. "Oh - my foot is still injured - but next week for sure." Guess what - he did not show up the next week and then just stopped responding to my texts. I understand that delays come up but why is it my responsibility to have to repeatedly contact him when no one shows up on the scheduled date again and again? If something comes up, LET ME KNOW! And if you don't want to do it, LET ME KNOW! After a month of having my texts ignored, we gave up on him and contracted with the city to do the repair.

We hired Allison Concrete to build a retaining wall behind our barn in 2022. It was next to impossible to get a company out to our property at that time to build the wall, with different companies giving me a variety of excuses. And, then, I called Allison Concrete. Sergio came out and gave me a very reasonable bid and started the work in a timely fashion. We didn't have to wait 3 - 6 months as was the case with more than one company. This year, we had an immediate, and very urgent need, to have a rock retaining wall built due to a failure in the fall by another company. We, again, thought of Allison Concrete in hopes that they could correct the failed wall and my wife's broken heart! Sergio came out "same day" to assess the disaster and see if he could remedy the situation out front. We received Sergio's extremely reasonable bid within 48 hours and quickly hired him to get the job done. Much to our surprise, Sergio put us on his schedule the following week. Within 2 days, Sergio and a helper created the most beautiful wall to the point that we could hardly remember the muddy disaster that we had to look at all winter through our kitchen window!! Correcting the failed wall and building a new wall was a big job and took a large backhoe as well as artistic skills to construct, as some of the large rocks/boulders weighed about 2000 pounds. We are looking at hiring Allison Construction for another job that just came up; concrete footings for a gazebo that will be built above our hot tub. Not only is Sergio the epitome of a true professional, he has a heart of gold and has a sincere desire to see his customers satisfied and happy! My wife is extremely happy with her new retaining wall! Sergio is always on time, cleans up his work space at the end of each day and works hard with no breaks that we saw! We really liked the idea of utilizing recycled concrete as a building material, and though many other local companies offered this option, none we spoke to were confident that they could also incorporate brackets to attach our fence posts to, which THE WALL was able to, nor did they have the reputation of THE WALL. Rick came out promptly and gave a reasonable bid, and once our date came up in the waiting list George, our project foreman, came out and reviewed the project and the following week was out with a crew (we had a delay due. to the Thanksgiving holiday). The crew was great, did excellent work and worked quick! The project changed very slightly, reducing the amount of wall to be constructed, and THE WALL was quick to credit us the slight difference in cost. We are super happy with the results! We have had quite a few neighbors compliment the project results, one who was looking to build something similar who I recommended calling THE WALL to, and I highly recommend anyone looking to do a concrete driveway, retaining wall, or other similar project give them a call!

We used The Wall to make two small retaining walls in the spring of 2024. They used wire mesh,…read morefabric and metal poles seated deep into the ground as the wall. This is some new system of their's. The contract we signed called for them to use crushed rock to backfill and soil to cover the rock. They used, without our notification or consent, bags of light weight material like pumice or gypsum in plastic bags as the fill instead of rock. I uncovered these bags after they left the job site and, when questioned about the matter, they claimed this was all our wall needed. I should have made them dig up the bags of fill and made them use rock but they assured me it's how these things are done for small projects like ours. After the workers were made aware of our concern and discovery of the bags, they became quite hostile to us. The job site manager was especially rude and made disparaging remarks about previous work done around our place by another company. Now, 16months later, the wire mesh is bulging out excessively between the poles and the areas where they used the light weight bags has sunk down and is soft to walk on. I would not trust this company to perform the job as spelled out in their contract and, if things don't go well, expect hostility on their part.

Concrete patio was ok but not great. There is a brush mark that stands out as it was done in the…read moreopposite direction of the rest of the patio and there isn't enough sealant on it as when it rains there are visable marks that look like lightening strikes with black spots. It just about looks like where the concrete is going to eventually crack? It's been a couple months now but maybe it takes longer for that to go away? The patio roof is fine on the straight part, other than the sections are not even - couldn't put the skylight where we wanted because it wasn't 24 inches wide so the skylight wouldn't fit there. all of their crew did not know how to properly fit the 90 degree angle side to the straight side. one side of the angle was not attached properly, but the other side was done correctly. Looks like one of their guys knew what he was doing and how to use the connecting metal brackets but the guy on working the other side of the beam did not. Even though that section will eventually be covered up/closed off with a ceiling it looks unprofessional. Also, on the front facing side of the roof there was a board that stood up in the inside corner that would not allow the roof flashing to lay flat in the inside corner that would hinder the water flow that would be draining to the gutters that we had to fix.
