My church group, the DayTrippers, went to The Grumpy Goat Tavern prior to a matinee performance at ECC. There were 20 of us and we were treated royally by our server, Ava, and got in and out with separate checks for the performance. The food was superb as was the service!

Everything was surprisingly delicious, we also had the French onion soup, that was a hit as well. Prices are unbeatable for the quality and quantity! I will make this a staple restaurant for sure!

Steak salad, why is this $18?

They have a good size menu with something for anyone. I have seen burgers go by and they always look really good, so this time I ordered one. I got the O'Hare's pub burger....since it was my first one, I wanted to try their signature burger. First we got the Green Bean fries, which I think we have gotten every time we have been there. They are really good, always perfectly cooked and crispy. It was very cold out so I wanted to get some soup, I tried the potato leek, very good, the crispy leeks on the top really elevated it. My wife got the Peggies salad, very fresh and well constructed, the sliced pears were crisp and ...fresh. The thing that first struck me on my burger was how perfectly cooked it was, that doesn't happen at many places. It was a perfect pink center medium. It had a lot of flavor and was juicy, but not to the point of making it a big soggy mess. The onion straws provided some crunch, the bacon had good flavor and the Jalapenos were like candied, it was a really good burger. I got tots as I normally do but the pictures of their fries lead me to believe I need to try them next time. Everything we get is always good, they have great specials and a pretty good beer list. Its one of my favorite things about Bartlett.

They also have slot machines, darts, and pool tables. The happy hour specials are VERY value driven! My partner and I both got Rail Drinks and split an appetizer. The beer nuggets were simple but good and a large sharing portion. The bartender Melanie was very personable; she was hustling while still making small talk with guests and had some great menu recommendations. We loved the neighborhood locals vibe, the value driven menu, and sports bar/pub atmosphere. We will be seeing you again soon enough O'Hare's!

Let's start with that we got here during happy hour and our Pretzel bites were on special, Score! Not sure we can ever come back and not get them, they are the best version I have ever had, Hot, Crisp and the warm beer cheese that I could eat with a spoon, and they're huge! Great start! Friday Fish Fry is on special as were old fashions, Double Score! You can choose from I think cod or walleye, we both got walleye and they come with fries (really really good fresh cut fries) and coleslaw plus soup or salad for under $20. They have a few versions of old fashions, we got the classic wisconsin with korbel brandy and sweet. They were a bit booze forward and not real sweet but still good. One was enough and we switched to beer from their impressive beer list. The Fish was 2 large pieces perfectly cooked with great fries and good slaw, huge portions and very very good. The salads were a good size for a side salad and also very good. Great portions, great service, and very nice place...we may be regulars
