    Dublin Nachos

The pub is larger than you think. It shares space with a game / bowling alley. There was probably about 30 people in the restaurant with us we were all separated at least one big table between us. There are lots of TVs to watch the game and they also have music playing pretty loud but not enough to hurt your ears. We ordered the Dublin Nachos appetizer. They put a little too much barbecue sauce on it, but they were still very tasty. I would eat them again and maybe ask for the sauce on the side. My husband ordered the Hangover Burger prepared medium rare. The eggs were firmer then he prefers because he likes the yolks a little runny . I ordered the pan seared fish dinner, I chose salad for my side with blue cheese dressing. It was very fresh and delicious. The fish was so flaky that I could not pick it up without it falling apart. I wish they would have served it with a lemon slice and some tarter sauce but it was really yummy. I am sure we will be back in a couple of months.

Fun to sit on their patio on a beautiful night

A fine Irish Pub owned by a great couple and the place to hang out in downtown Bartlett. Our book club met here and we were greeted like family. I ordered a gluten free beer and Peggy's Salad which was fresh and crisp with a raspberry vinaigrette dressing. The chicken fingers looked good with honey mustard. Many Irish specialities and great burgers and sandwiches as well as daily food and drink specials are offered. They have video slots and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Happy hour from 3-6 pm weekdays. Sláinte!

I've lived in a Bartlett for a sneeze over a year and have only been to O'Hare's once. I know, I know... how dare I. It's just how the cookie has crumbled. BUT I'll definitely be back! Pinky swear. And when I do, I'll update my review accordingly. Until then, let me share about my one and only O'Hare-venture... My friend and I were hungry and looking for an ice cold beer on a hot day. Where else would one go other than an Irish pub?! It was fairly busy, quite loud (well it is a bar after all) and the sun was beaming in through the propped open door. (Am I setting the scene yet?) We plopped our keesters whenever we wanted and were greeted shortly thereafter. We promptly ordered our beers so we could sip while we reviewed the menus. We weren't hungry enough to indulge in an appetizer, so we each ordered an entree. Having never heard of or eaten one, we each opted for a boxty - Her the Gaelic steak and mine the chicken. Be forewarned, these are huge!! But the flavor is sooo good!! I had a bite of hers and it was ever so delicious. The chicken was creamy and amazing. As much as I want to order a boxty the next time I visit, I'd like to give their menu a test drive. ;-) So until next time...

    Happy hour

Calvin was a great bartender... it was nice talking to him, he gave great food recommendations, and checked in to make sure everything was good frequently! my brother ordered garlic parmesan and hot buffalo wings which were perfectly cooked.... dry rub, not greasy, and fresh! great quality ... will definitely order again! I had the chef sandwich... grilled chicken with sun dried tomatoes, potato, fresh mozzarella, and greens... refreshing and cooked perfectly as well.. great atmosphere, friendly service, good food, will be back... excited that they have 2 dartboards, golden tee, and the new bowling alley right next door! they also have a great appetizer happy hour Monday through friday....5$ appetizers and drink specials everyday!

There is not much to it, and it looks like a typical Irish divey bar with wooden furniture. We sat ourselves at a high table next to the bar, and our waitress came by right away to take our drink order. We had great service, and she consistently asked us if everything was okay and gave us water refills. There are many different menu options; I decided to try their Grilled Cheese Sandwich ($15) for lunch. The sandwich came with white cheddar, pepper jack, and American cheeses on it, and it also had bacon on sourdough bread. The sandwich was pretty good, but it tasted dry. I wish the sandwich had some aioli or sauce to keep it more flavorful and moist, but the cheeses all mixed well, and the bacon was cooked perfectly. My husband ordered the Blackened Chicken Caesar Salad ($15). He enjoyed his salad and thought that the chicken was cooked and seasoned well. Overall, I would come back here because it was clean, we had good service, and the food was good. I would like to order either a Reuben or Mac and Cheese next time.

We ordered the bruschetta and chips and salsa for our appetizer. Salsa was great and had just the right amount of spice. Bruschetta was a big hit- it had a lot of garlic, which we loved! I will definitely come back for the beer and wings! Our server, Danielle, was so sweet and attentive! She took very good care of us. I live in the area and I would expect this kinda of behavior from the city but not from a suburban bar. C'mon on now, We were in search of a local bar that we could have a good time at. I was not expecting this type of behavior. To top it off I tipped in cash and left a tip on my cc cause the bartenders were good. Honestly, I did not see anyone else in that bar tipping the bartenders. The bar staff is great, just be careful with the locals.

The drinks are relatively cheap and the staff was friendly to us the whole time - what more could you ask for from a dive bar?! While I can't say that it is like this all the time (I honestly wonder what Friday & Saturday nights are like...) I can say that we enjoyed ourselves. In the future I don't think I'll be rushing back here, but this was by no means my only visit to Prairie Station Pub.

Loud (but not too loud) and boisterous. I read some other reviews talking about rude regulars: rubbish. Chicago is loud and direct. If you don't like that vibe, the shoulders in this city may just be a little too broad for you. The pierogi and the pyzy were great, both served with sour cream. The beers, while not draft, had a wide, Euro-leaning selection but still respected some local favorites (Old Style). Good food. Good folks. Confusingly brilliant ambiance.
