We ordered the Fishin' and waited around 20 minutes outside an empty shop around 11:30AM on a Sunday morning. Brought it to eat at a nearby outdoor concert and we were not impressed. We got Dutch crunch (obvi) and it wasn't great--too dense and didn't have enough crunch. The sandwich itself was standard; a lot of bread. Tasted like fried fish and mayo, not much else /: Perhaps we chose the wrong sandwich to try for the our first time. I'd be down to give it another shot if I were in the area, but defo won't go out of my way to return.

My first time here. Very convenient to our house. We preordered and the 6 of us sat in their restaurant after Picking up. Ordered a hot pastrami with everything on it. It had a little Spice. Great sandwich to share on Dutch crunch. Sandwich was comparable to Freddie's sandwich in north beach but smaller than Little Luca's. Make sure you Check in on Yelp For free small bag of chips!

Tasty delectable toasted sandwiches made fresh to order at this great little sandwich shop. Friendly, enthusiastic service from the folks here every time! Located on Taraval Street in the Outer Sunset, one will find not just one, not two, but three different sandwich shops within a few blocks of each other. All are good and great at their own specialties, but I find myself returning to Grubbin' over and over again. Order by just calling them up on the phone, and walk or drive or catch the L-Taraval train/bus that stops right across the street from their front door. Skip those delivery apps that rip off small businesses like these.. I come here for my favorite sandwich that I save for special occasions - no, not for big events like birthdays or big anniversaries, but for those days when you either want to celebrate a bit or need a special treat after a long week.. Typical sandwich shop storefront vibe, with a couple of casual sit down tables and chairs inside, but most folks grab 'n go, as you would expect. My favorite here is the "Sweet Mouth Waterin'" Sandwich. Served on a crunchy yet soft on the inside Dutch Crunch Roll, the SMW is Grubbin's rendition of a non-spicy fried chicken sandwich with thick chunks of chicken breast meat dipped in batter and deep fried, accompanied with honey mustard and the standard sides (that come with all of their sandwiches of lettuce, tomato, onions, and their trademark "grub sauce" which I think is a little like "Thousand Island Dressing" perhaps.. put that all together and you've got a filling meal even before you get to your potato chips. Of course there are plenty of other meaty sandwich choices and all-veggie ones if that is more your speed. Tater tots too!! Also, the usual selection of Frito Lays chips are here, but their best chips are the Tim's Cascade Chips from the PNW.. Tim's Honey BBQ is awesome! Pro Tip: If you decide to become a regular here like me, be sure to get a rewards card that gets stamped for every sandwich you order from here. Once you have ten stamps, you get a sandwich of your choice totally for free - and gladly too!! A nice perk, and super when you are the one who orders up food for your friends/coworkers.. You'll get that free sandwich in no time! Proud to be a regular here! =). They still don't know me, but they are happy to fill my orders!

High 3 low 4. Guys were chill so overall a 4. I came on a weekday right when they opened Ordered the grubbin on Dutch but they ran out of bacon. MINUS 1 here. How can you not have bacon one of the more important ingredients in a sandwich? Taste - good, the aioli sauce makes the sandwich good or elsethe meats are a bit dry and no bacon (SMH)!! The Dutch sandwich has a slight hint of sweetness which was fine. Good price point for a filling sandwich

Was an amazing sandwich that I have for while. We will definitely come back for this beautiful place. Good service

Solid sandwich spot. Lots of metered parking. Inside, small spot without a lot of appeal. The service was fine. However, the real star here is the sandwich. Fresh bread, toppings of choice, and their special sauce. I had the Sweet Mouth Waterin Sandwich- which was amazing! Big juicy chicken tender surrounded by veggies, sauce, and French bread. We got our sandwiches and walked directly across the street to the park. Look forward to going back and trying more next time!

Beau and I were craving for some Pastrami sandwiches midweek and decided to do a quick takeout Doordash order from Grubbin' nearby. We've tried other local sandwich spots for their Pastrami sandwiches so it was natural for us to compare the quality. For the responsiveness they are to taking, processing and delivering our order, Grubbin' gets a 5/5. For the quality, it was more of a 3/5. Droolin' (Pastrami) Sandwich - 3/5 Using a super crispy Dutch Crunch roll, there's plenty of pastrami, provolone, and lettuce in this sandwich. It is a bit smaller than typical sandwich portions would be, I'd wish they have quantity options (ie: 6 oz or 12 oz). Great concept of Dutch Crunch with pastrami which still left us really full at the end but honestly the crunch roll was baked too crispy and hard. It wasn't a crispy smooth bite. The dressing to lettuce ratio was the perfect amount though. Chicken Tenders & Fries - 3/5 The fries were super nice and crispy which we liked. I think it had a little too much salt though. By the time we received the order, the saltiness had settled on the fries and the crispiness had made the fries feel overdried. The chicken tenders were fried perfectly. I just wish they came in a bigger portion. I'd often order chicken tenders from other locations paying about the same price and the portions were much more generous. For the price and convenience, Grubbin' isn't too bad of a spot to grab -and -go. However, there's definitely better pastrami sandwiches out there if you're willing to ay for an extra $1 -2.

Naked Wings, tater tots, Kickin and Droolin
Jerry W.

Staff is friendly and helpful. The guy who took my order, Tony I think is his name, was informative, friendly and courteous. The entire staff was quick and efficient. I wanted naked wings so I can taste the batter and chicken. The wings were juicy and crispy... great combination... will order again. Tater tots were hot and crispy. Cooked perfectly My son ordered the Kickin. Roast beef, bacon with pepper jack and wasabi spread. He said it was awesome.. the sauce was "kicking it"... his words not mine. I got the Droolin. Salami, pastrami and pepperjack with spicy aioli. I just have to say it was really really good. My only complaint was it was messy... the Grubbin sauce just made it finger licking good... literally and figuratively.

Meltin' Sandwich

I usually do not go out of my way to buy sandwiches but this place changed the game for me! It's a small shop so you have to do take out. The Meltin sandwich was flavorful and the perfect kick of spicy Crunchin Sandwich is vegetarian but it's so refreshing and good! The cucumbers add a nice crunch to it. Im usually a meat girl but was very impressed with this. Both sandwiches I got on a French roll (:

I was exploring some new sandwiches and I ran into this delicious sandwich place. I really enjoyed the chicken sandwich and it was very tasty. I will have to try their other sandwiches in the future.

I LOVE a good sandwich and Grubbin' most definitely does not disappoint. Their grubbin' sauce is garlicy and delicious. The Dutch crunch was a blast from the past of my childhood and the warmness of my sandwich is already making me debate when I can eat this again.

First time I got a leg of lamb and more recently some double cut pork chops…read more I'm sure they are helpful if you ask questions but they were pretty busy both times I came in and it felt like you needed to know what you wanted for the most part. For the leg of lamb, I think most people get a whole leg of lamb. That was way too much for me and I think the butcher thought I was confused when I asked for less and asked me what I was doing with it. He ended up saying he could give me a half leg of lamb and I agreed. Thar was about 3 and a half pounds (bone included) which was the perfect amount. I seared it and then braised it and the meat fell off the bone. Delicious and the price was pretty good. I was cooking my first pork chop and decided to come here to get it. Their pork isn't labeled as Berkshire or Duroc or anything but that probably keeps the price down. For chops, they had boneless, bone in, and double cut (which was also bone in). I mentioned I wanted it to be about 2 inches thick and the butcher said to get the double cut.I got 2 beautiful thick pork chops for $6.99 a pound so about $18 total. The regular cut bone in pork chops were the same price though obviously smaller. I brined this overnight and reverse seared it and it was great. The chop was a loin chop- loin and then a tenderloin nugget- not a pure rib chop. Cooked really nicely and was tender which I think was partially the overnight brine and also their pork. They do sell some vegetables and grocery supplies if you want to just make a single stop. They also have a deli with some sandwiches that looked good and prepared foods. I was very focused on buying the things I came in for and getting on with my day both times but I would like to take a closer look in the future as it looked good. Solid butcher shop and clearly loved since it was busy both on a weekend and during the week. I'm sure I will be back.

You can change your bread if you don't like the option listed. The pastrami meat was thinly stacked and not overly salty. The rye bread was OK not too heavily rye tasting. I didn't care for the sauce they put on the bread, it was tangy. Next time, I will just ask for plain mustard. Hubby liked his Tri Tip. I had a bite, it was OK. This space was formerly known as the Four Seasons Market. It's located in West Portal on West Portal Avenue in San Francisco and it's called Spanglers Market. On a Winter Stroll at West Portal on a Winters Day in January I finally walked inside Spanglers Market. Inside you will find ice cream by the pint and frozen pies. I had to try their sandwiches. I ordered the roast beef sandwich at the deli in the back and it was a bargain for San Francisco standards at $12. The roast beef was fresh and the dutch crunch was soft and overall it was delicious. This place is a must visit if you are looking for the fresh meats for that BBQ or for that Super Bowl party. There is a market in West Portal in San Francisco you should take a "stab " and go to the butcher and request a meat "slab" and this also the place where you can "grab" wild shrimp and Dungeness "crab" The representation in SF has been "murky "so come to the good side of San Francisco to a market which sells $12 sandwiches at the deli like roast beef , Bahn mi ( Banh Mi) and "turkey", and they also have moonbeam cheese for sale which seems kind of "quirky", and also they sell different sauces and "beef jerky"

I had this many years ago but I don't remember whether I liked it or not and saw it on TikTok…read morerecently, so I decided to give it another shot. It's in this tiny storefront with no sign, so look out for the address number. It's right after the little outdoor park/seating area. For a banh mi, $16 is honestly pretty steep but it'd be a miracle to find anything less than $10 nowadays. I got The Special (they charge $2.50 more if you add extra pate) which is insane unless it's at least 4oz worth of it. Upon taking my first bite, I understand why I didn't continue coming back before. There's char siu inside it, which I don't like. The flavor of the meat wasn't very good and it was on the dryer side. The pickled veggies weren't as sweet as I'd like and not much of the veggie fillings overall. The only thing I really liked about the sandwich was the bread. The bread itself was amazing, crunchy yet spongey and soft. It tasted similar to sourdough, with the hint of sourness. At a little over $17 just for a sandwich that's no larger than my hand and the quality and taste of it, definitely not worth it and many other better options in my opinion.
