All three of the doctors (Dr. Mitchell , Dr. Johnston, and Dr. Hanson) have demonstrated the kind of professionalism, experience, courtesy/respect, compassion, and willingness to listen/answer any questions/concerns that I may have had. The staff at Eyecare Associates can be described as nothing less than exemplary as well. I only wish that I knew, or was able to remember all of their names. So, we sat in their waiting area for one hour and thirty minutes anticipating getting the NEW LENSES and frames. To find out... OOOOPS, nobody ordered the NEW LENSES. Three to four weeks without glasses, and now we have to wait longer due to some idiot not doing their job right the first time. So I am sending Eyecare Associates of Southern Oregon TWO GIANT SIZED MIDDLE FINGERS. Here are the scratched lenses that were supposed to be replaced. This place is beyond pathetic

Today I had the most extensive and thorough exam I've ever had! Dr. Brown takes his time during the exam to make sure you are comfortable, not rushed and that you understand exactly what is going on. I was shown the photographic images of my eyes as he explained what we were seeing. I have some issues with my retinas that he was able to show me where, and what was happening with them. He was reassuring to me as I had concerns from a prior diagnosis done at a large local eye center where I felt "herded" through and dismissed. This office is so kind, personal and caring. I wish I'd found them years ago! I highly recommend them!!!

He put me in reading glasses when I was a kid to strengthen vision through vision training (which I still wear though the RX occasionally changes) and to this day, I still have 20/15 (yes, better than 20/20)! He's seen members of my family, extended family and friends for years. He is compassionate, a true medical professional and takes your eye health very serious - and he has quite the sense of humor! It is a small, single doctor private practice but I feel better going there than a big box store where they just want to make a buck. I recommend him to anyone looking for an optometrist or with eye care issues.

The office informed us that the decision was made after my wife posted an honest review about her experience. I was never given the opportunity to be seen, and my appointment was canceled even though I had done nothing wrong. It was disappointing to have my care affected because a family member shared feedback about her own visit. Canceling an established patient's appointment under these circumstances was frustrating and forced me to start over with another provider, delaying my eye care. I believe patients should be able to leave honest reviews without worrying that they or their family members will lose access to care. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this practice. Patients deserve to be treated fairly, even when they express concerns or criticism.

None of these things apply to Advanced: I have NEVER experienced such great care. Advanced wants to get it right for you and they will--that's their promise and they live up to it. Additionally, they are fun people to work with. I love their extremely broad choice of styles. I've also had some issues with my frames after I totally crushed them when they fell out of my bag, and they were able to fix them on the spot. They also are really great about living up to warranties and getting that sorted in a timely manner. I highly recommend these folks for a great small business in the Valley that gets it right on all levels!

This was fine for me so I went through with the appointment. When it came time to check out I was actually billed $228, when I mentioned I was quoted something much different over the phone, I was told there was nothing they could do and that they don't know who would have said that (which is weird to me considering how small the clinic is). They either need to do a better job coaching their front office staff, or they need to honor what customer has been told to avoid other unfortunate discrepancies resulting in lost clients.

The billing department was dishonest and misleading about billing during scheduling of my appointment, arriving for my appointment and leaving after my appointment--I asked numerous times and they were deceptive. Prior to the appointment, I told the billing department my insurance would not pay for an eye exam, as I know my insurance well, and they assured me the insurance would pay for the exam but not the refraction. Two weeks after the appointment, I received a bill for the entire service. The Siskiyou Eye Center is a perfect example of what is wrong with healthcare--you are a $$$ to them. Avoid this place, especially with so many other great choices in the Rogue Valley, like Artisan Eyeworks in Ashland or Medical Eye Center in Medford--they are professional and honest about services and billing. They probably could have sent it back to the manufacturer and they would have taken care of it but they didn't even try.

I have low vision and can't work without my glasses. An afternoon before my shift began, my frames broke. I called and asked if they could fix or replace and let them know I had work that day. Within 45 minutes, I had left home, gone to Clair Horn, they gave me loaner frames and I was on my way to work. Thank you to the caring and quick staff at Clare Horn!
