Awful company. I got work done a year ago and decided not to leave a review however I'm STILL having issues, so here goes. Original plan was not followed. I had to get all the way to a supervisor to get the crew to stop working. They did in fact need to change the design but never reviewed it with me. A third design had to be done and they still put the sump pump right in front of my hot water heater, they did not pitch the one side enough so water sits there, left my driveway full of small and large metal shavings (and I have 2 young kids and 2 dogs who run in the backyard), did not clean up other materials, did not remove the dirt they dug up in the basement (told me I had to pay extra, you would think for 24k it'd be included. They also went to dig up my patio to run the water line, which could have been adjusted a few feet to not dig up an entire patio- again, no one would listen until I spoke to that one supervisor again, it was unreal. There were multiple times they were scheduled to come and never showed or showed on a different day then was scheduled, at least 4 times, and the crew had no idea. Fast forward to my yearly inspection, where he recommended I get a dehumidifier, and I was confused bc I paid to get one (that was one of my main things before I got talked into upgrading to a 24k job). They NEVER installed the dehumidifier and there has been new mold growth. They were not forthcoming with pics but sent a crew to spray, the crew had no idea what they were spraying for. They finally installed the dehumidifier and now I'm waiting for them to return to fix the encapsulation which is pulling apart, for the thousands of dollars it was, it was not worth it. The entire job was not worth it (3 columns designed to hold up large buildings, used to hold up my tiny house), encapsulation, dug around the edges, put in a sump pump, and now the dehumidifier. I would NOT recommend!!!! read more

I got an estimate from Groundworks to have my crawlspace renovated. The quote they gave me was for encapsulation and a sump pump even though I only wanted to have my vapor barrier and insulation replaced. The quote was 8x more than what it ended up costing to a have a local company do the work. I don't think this company is very trustworthy. They were trying to convince me that my crawlspace needed to be encapsulated even though it's totally unnecessary for my home and was way out of my budget. read more

Steven came and quoted us just over $13,000!!!!! Told us we needed 9 new jacks at $1,391.00 a piece. We called releveling specialist another company. He came out told us we had very good jack stabilizers already and he just needed to readjust those. He charged us $1700 and did an amazing job! For 10% of the cost. Concrete lifting work completed by Ilia and Iurie. Our garage is in the rear of our home. This means we have a lot of concrete. Our front porch was raised approximately 3 inches and areas in our back area was raised 2 to 3 inches. All areas were drilling was required were patched and are almost invisible. Caulking was also done between the concrete slabs which is also nearly invisible. The form that they used to raise a concrete is remarkably hard, almost like a rock. I was told after foam is injected under a concrete slab that there should be no more further problems with settling. Texting is done to let you know when they leave the office and again when they arrive at your home. Ilia and Iurie are both very hard working, conscientious and polite. read more

I just had an absolutely fantastic experience with Groundworks Seattle. Our garage floor was buckling and cracked due to soil movement under the pad. Groundworks was able to level the floor and fix all the cracks in just a few hours. These guys were horrible I'm 68 years old and they saw an opportunity to try and take advantage of me . I had a bid from them to put new insulation and a vapor barrier they showed up and said I had a crack in my foundation and couldn't do the job . After I had already given them a 50% deposit . Things went down hill from there . They told me I needed thousands of dollars for the foundation . Then they came back to do that job and the price tripled . Then they still would not do the original job . Someone needs to stop these guys from picking on senior citizens ! They finally refunded my deposit almost 2 months later ! Horrible company ! The foundation of our 116-year-old house has had some repairs and additions over the years, some okay and some not so good. It was time to get professional help. Matt G came out and had some recommendations, and we soon had an estimate from Matvey Foundation Repair. Their crew of Chris, Eduardo and Iuri were at our house this week. Very nice guys, Chris explained what they were going to do, and they got right on it. They made sure to check what we wanted: stabilization rather than trying to "chase level." They did a very good job; we have found that the floor is less slanted, and it does feel more level than before. It was a tight squeeze for them to get to the back addition area, the only under-house access is over 20 feet away. Clearance was slim, but the bathroom squeak is gone. And no more bounce by the back door! We think Matvey Foundation did the best work we could have asked for: not the cheapest, not the most expensive, but a fair price for very good work. Yes, it was expensive, but they solved a water intrusion problem and made the crawl space clean enough to sleep in.
