I've had to take several vacation days as well as pay friends and beg neighbors to meet the service technicians. The last time he came out, he told me that the part they needed hadn't come in yet. I asked why he couldn't have called me to tell me this so I didn't have to be at home. His response was that they had a meeting that morning and he was told to come out and tell me. i had taken the day off work for nothing! We have a joke in our house: how many visits does it take a service technician to fix a light bulb in a freezer. The answer will be ten if they get it fixed the next visit! Very disappointed in their service. pretty sure they just should have replaced it after six visits. They said no.

A little context: Originally Sears was out (yes, they still exist). Having repaired a few refrigerators, garage doors and operator control boards myself over the years, I knew things weren't right with these Sears guys (yes, plural -- well, one in training, poor sod). They weren't dishonest, really, just excessive. Especially with cost (...pretty obviously constrained by dinosaur policy -- what felt geared towards getting a fleeced customer to buy a new appliance from Sears). The Sears guys estimated a four-figure two-man project, including for two off-the-shelf generic machine screws, $37 each, parts only. (Still had to pay them for coming out.) Bless their little hearts. I can see how people get bamboozed by this blue-shirted Sears "professionalism". Hearing good things, I contacted Daniil. And in a little more than a day, paid an eighth of the price for way more, better, no-nonsense, good natured, in-and-out service. With warranty. The person who answers his phones is unhelpful, rude, does not provide answers to basic questions, and does not give promised callbacks. Highly disappointed in their consumer relations--we have been without an oven for 5 weeks (during the holiday season) and during that time received no communication about what the hold-up was in ordering a replacement part, despite us proactively calling them for updates numerous times. We received curt and rude answers from the receptionist "it must be the manufacturers fault". Supremely unhelpful. Regardless of the quality of work that does get completed (which it hasn't yet for us), we will not be using them in the future due to the very poor customer service!
