I was having a cosmetic issue with my Bosch stove that my contractor who installed it failed to even point out or bring up considering he was the one who installed it. I called Bosch since it was still under warranty and they sent a tech from Mr. Appliance out to examine the issue and repair it. This tech (Robert) was super friendly and did a great job examining the issue, informing me what was wrong and how they would repair it, and then came back a few days later once he got the parts from Bosh to fix it. 2. The second time I had an appliance issue with my washer, I decided to call Mr. Appliance again based on the great first experience. They sent a different tech out this time (Lloyd) who was grumpy the minute he walked into my house despite my efforts to be cordial and friendly with him. He spent maybe 2-3 minutes looking at my washer when he told me what the issue was and it would be over $900 to fix. He must've guessed that I was not convinced, so he called his buddy on the phone on speakerphone just to convince me. Then he wrote up the bill on his tablet and I paid and he left. I was not happy about this visit and wrote to Mr. Appliance to address my concerns about him and the costly diagnostic fee. Mr. Appliance reassured me that he had industry experience which is why he diagnosed the issue so quickly, but nonetheless refunded the diagnostic fee. I was not expecting a full reimbursement and told them they could have just reduced the diagnostic fee based on this very quick diagnostic instead. Nonetheless, they were prompt in responding and addressing my concerns and for that, I have to give them credit for their attentiveness to their customer service. This would have been a five star review even with the bad second experience if the tech came into my house with a better attitude. Note: This review is my opinion based on my experience only and may not reflect on the business as a whole. What experience I had may not be the same for someone else.

A little context: Originally Sears was out (yes, they still exist). Having repaired a few refrigerators, garage doors and operator control boards myself over the years, I knew things weren't right with these Sears guys (yes, plural -- well, one in training, poor sod). They weren't dishonest, really, just excessive. Especially with cost (...pretty obviously constrained by dinosaur policy -- what felt geared towards getting a fleeced customer to buy a new appliance from Sears). The Sears guys estimated a four-figure two-man project, including for two off-the-shelf generic machine screws, $37 each, parts only. (Still had to pay them for coming out.) Bless their little hearts. I can see how people get bamboozed by this blue-shirted Sears "professionalism". Hearing good things, I contacted Daniil. And in a little more than a day, paid an eighth of the price for way more, better, no-nonsense, good natured, in-and-out service. With warranty.
