Ground Shuttle is a very well oiled machine with nice, clean shuttles, plenty of space, and personable drivers. The shuttle fits about 7-10 passengers but both times I took it there were only 3-4. The drivers check in with you a few hours before the pickups and walk you through where to go. Miguel and Josh were fantastic, professional and personable. Shows me that this company values hiring REAL and NORMAL people. All the lower ratings are just because people missed their pickups and didn't book buffers with their shuttle and flight. read more

Very disappointed in our service tonight. After constant communication with driver, he left us stranded at IAH. We asked for a little patience as we waited on bags. We had all our bags at the curb 4 minutes after his departure time. He was gone, and he was the last shuttle for the night. We have used them for over 3 years. Even with having to ride the subway train from A to C was quick and easy once this was explained by a magnificent human working at 9:00AMish and you walked us around to the elevators and explained the process. I've used the service a few times in the past. It's always been a decent/basic service. The last time I used the service we(the van) waited 20 minutes for one person that was running late. This time I was the person running late. I called the office before my flight departed to let them know my flight got a bit delayed, but I will be hustling my way through the airport. The woman I spoke with reassured me that the driver would wait a reasonable amount of time as long as I was in communication with him/them. After landing, I immediately turned on my phone communicating with the driver right away. He told me that he would give me additional 10 minutes. I was checking in with him periodically. I let him know that I was literally running through the C terminal, where pick up is at 8:09 PM. I called him two minutes later at 8:11 PM he picked up telling me "no I already took off." But from what I could hear from the background noise, it seemed like he was driving fast as if he was already on the main road/ freeway. I'm not even sure that he waited the additional 10 minutes. When I called the office to figure out what I can do about my voucher, the woman then informed me they don't give vouchers or credits. She told me that whoever I spoke to the evening before gave me the wrong information. I think the customer service at this company is extremely poor based on my experience with the driver and my experience with the woman on the phone this morning. I won't be naming names. But you'd think that someone's messaging you telling you they're running to get to the van and it's the last van of the night that you would just give them a couple extra minutes. I did my part I was in touch with the driver like the person at the office told me to do. Really, what's the difference between 8:09 and 8:11pm when someone's begging you please wait?? When I called to figure out what I can do about the money that I paid, the woman I spoke with had no remorse, said to me "too bad you where one minute late". This person had poor customer service skills, seems like she hates her job tells me "nothing can be done." Even though I communicated properly with the company and driver explaining my situation. Do yourself a favor, if you're more than one person just take an Uber. Uber X costed me $90 and was worth. I didn't have to suffer dropping everybody off to their homes after the airport before they take you to the main office. I would definitely not recommend this company. Very very poor customer service. They left my son who is attending Texas A&M at the Houston airport. He was 5 minutes late to the shuttle. The driver texted him "Urgent call immediately." He did not call or introduce himself as the Ground Shuttle driver. My son thought it was spam. He had used this service in past and when texted the driver would introduce himself as the Ground Shuttle driver. I had to call the office at 5:25 pm and was on hold for 5 minutes and I immediately explained that my son was almost to the Ground Shuttle pick up spot. She then informed me that my son did not return his call (he never received a call - just weird text). I then texted my son and told him to call that text number. My son heard the driver close the door to van and the driver rudely told my son that they only have a 5 min grace and then he hung up on him and drove off. My son arrived to the spot at 5:35 pm (shuttle was to leave at 5:30pm). I was told in past that they have 15 minute grace. Very very poor customer service. Never use this service!!!! read more

After several years of the following review being on this site, it was removed out of nowhere, though the language wasn't against the community standards. Nevertheless, I think what I said about them is worth spreading for people who may want to use their services, as this company failed me multiple times. I have removed anything that could be potentially misconstrued so that it will not be removed again, but my feelings towards the company have not changed. I had several issues with this company while I was in college, and I am definitely glad I don't have to bother with their services anymore. Of course, it looks very attractive at first. It's much much cheaper than taking a plane to Houston from CS, or a bus from Bryan that stops in every town. It drops you off right at the airport and it really is just as fast as taking your car there, other than when they pick some people up along the way. Not bad huh? It is. My first bad experience with them was when they completely FORGOT TO PICK ME UP. I had bought my seat weeks before the departure date, and I had asked them to pick me up around 5 am (considering that my flight was at around 8 am). I never received a phone call during that morning, and around that time, I decided to call them, but nobody replied. I tried to call them every 5 mins and nobody was replying. After them being about 45 mins late, I had to pay my roommate to drive me to the airport as fast as we could, and I was BARELY able to make it to the plane. I did call them when I was pulling into the airport and asked them, basically "what happened?". to which the driver went "oh... I... missed your name?". Unexcusable. Their second mistake came after I came back from that same trip. I had reserved that seat, again, weeks before this had happened, and I decided to give them another chance (considering that it was mainly the driver's fault). When I arrived, the shuttle was there this time, but there was only space for about 6 people. How many of us were waiting for it? 10, and we all had our proof of purchase at hand. From what I could tell, it seems like they had scheduled two shuttles for this particular time, but someone just forgot to send the extra shuttle! I was one of the lucky people whose name was on the actual list, but the rest of the people had to rent a car from the airport and drive themselves. Personally, that is completely unacceptable. Third mistake (yeah, I should've learned by now, but I like to go home and I didn't have a better option then) came after I reserved the shuttle about 30 hours before it departed. I was lucky to find a spot that for that seat, so I was feeling lucky. Then a similar situation as that first time happened. I called them at the time I was scheduled to be picked up (around 4 pm), and the conversation went something like "Where are you guys? I was expecting you guys about 10 mins ago" "Oh... did you reserve a seat?" "Yeah, My name is Jorge" "Oh! But your name isn't in the list" "But I bought this yesterday!" "Ah! The website says you need to call us if you buy it 24 hours before it departs..." "I bought it at 10 AM YESTERDAY" "... Oh... right... we printed the list of people two days ago, I forgot... We don't usually do that" "So....?" "We're sorry, but we're already on the road and I can't pick you up and make everybody else late." Again, I was lucky my other roommate was kind enough to drive me to Houston that same time. All in all, had I not had friends who could do a favor for me last minute, I could've lost my flights with no refunds, and no commitment from the company to refund me for them even if it was 100% their mistake on all occasions. Trusting them is a gamble... there is a VERY big chance you won't get picked up, but if you do, then you're one lucky fella. I honestly recommend to rent a car instead, or be willing to pay for parking for the length of your trip. They are the most unreliable company I've had to deal with, considering what their service entails. read more

Coaches are luxurious, spacious, concierge-class vehicles with USB ports and individual air and light controls. Ken, the pick-up driver for IAH was a consummate professional, and had the drop-off driver been nearly as conscientious, Ground Shuttle would have earned a five-star rating. The new terminal is sleekly modern with an industrial chic vibe and the requisite USB ports and bottled water dispenser. Booking was seamless on the Ground Shuttle website, with a confirmation e-mail sent more than 24 hours before pick-up time. The wording on the IAH pickup could use a little attention. (The pickup instructions for passengers waiting at IAH for pick-up read "if requesting a home pick up be ready 60 minutes before this time.") The return trip pick-up driver, Ken, telephoned me 24 hours in advance at IAH to verify my flight, gave me detailed directions from baggage claim to the pickup site, and even offered suggestions for a more comfortable wait at the airport after my very early arrival at IAH. He demonstrated the amenities at the seat. The stop at Buc-ees was a nice surprise, and the driver even fetched a replacement coffee when I spilled mine. He was an excellent, safe driver and a pleasant person. The CS-to-IAH driver turned corners so fast and stopped so abruptly that I felt almost roughly tossed around the cabin, exacerbated by the fact that I had not yet succeeded in pulling my balky seat belt from the retractor. Instead of requesting terminals prior to the trip, after arrival to the airport, he asked, "How many for Terminal A?" etc. The number of people for requesting a particular terminal is irrelevant. At the airport, he bypassed in the rotation the terminal requested by two people and necessitating a second circuit around the airport. The man staffing the terminal was accommodating and friendly. The GT gated parking lot is quite convenient and less expensive than the airport. At that time the door between the parking lot and the terminal was locked, so I walked out the parking lot gate around to the front door instead. read more

UPDATE 11/10: I wanted to provide an update since I have used the shuttle an additional 11 times since my last review. Every ride has been smooth and seamless and I'm booking another ride with them next week. (I travel a lot :)). I'm grateful this service exists and has been so painless to use. Definitely recommend. I just discovered this service last week and am excited to use it more since I have family in College Station and frequently fly into IAH to visit them. I took the shuttle for the first time last week and had a seamless experience. Based on that, I've booked them twice more already in the coming month, so I'll post updates if my experience changes. But so far my experience has been wholly positive. Booking online was easy, and when I had to change my departure day and time at the last minute, I just gave them a call, and they were super friendly and helpful and had my shuttle changed in minutes and at no cost. I was really impressed. Upon arrival the shuttle was easy to find, the vehicle is clean and modern, and we didn't have any issues on the drive, although I must admit I was 100% zonked out so I wasn't paying attention to the driving :) Overall I have been very impressed and I look forward to using them frequently moving forward. read more

Price is reasonable for what you get but the "tips are greatly appreciated" sign is a HUGE turn off. Pay your drivers what they are worth so I don't have to carry freaking CASH (which I rarely do). Not sure about their services however the driver I encountered while running errands was less than pleasant. I was going the speed limit (which was 70) and he was so far in my bumper I couldnt see the front of his vehicle. I could see him in the rearview mirror cursing and flipping me off simply for going the speed limit. He finally passed me (once again giving me the middle finger) and then slammed on his breaks repeatedly. Very unprofessional for a shuttle service not to mention unsafe. Wouldnt be my choice in shuttle buses if I were you especially considering I dialed the number on the bus to report him an the secretary couldnt have cared less. read more

Terrible experience with Ground Shuttle this past weekend. Driver was extremely reckless and almost caused a major accident within minutes of picking me up. Driver's recklessness then continued throughout the rest of the trip (speeding, taking turns too fast, etc.). Contacted the company about this as soon as I got to the airport and was told, "Oh, that driver has been with us for years and we've never had any complaints until now. We'll have a talk with him." Uh...a TALK?? That isn't going to cut it. When you're responsible for 8-10 peoples' lives and [presumably] the owner's livelihood, there is NO room for recklessness. The owner is free to conduct his business as he wishes but based on the driving behavior I observed, the only fitting response would have been termination. Also, I find it hard to believe that this was the first complaint, especially when you read all the other negative Yelp reviews. And when I asked the owner if he had dash cameras in the vehicles, he said no. I'm sorry but in this day and age, that is insane. He has no way of effectively monitoring his drivers' without cameras. Even taxi cabs have them! So, as a result of the experience, I refused to ride Ground Shuttle for the return trip (the owner did give me a refund, though it was only for the return leg) and will not be using them in the future. It's a shame really because I think it's a great business model. Just that safety and customer service have to be the top priorities. When you're going through the hassle of flying somewhere, the last thing you want is to have to go through a stressful and dangerous ordeal before you even get on the plane! read more

Ground shuttle has provided me with nothing but the best service each time I have booked with them. I mostly travel with them from BCS to Hobby and have had no issues with being late or the driver or the drive itself. This morning I took my first trip with them from CLL to ABIA and once again, no complaints! My Houston trips are usually more popular and are on their larger shuttles. The Austin trip this morning had only two of us and we were in a smaller van.. however this van was in my opinion much more comfortable than the larger shuttles.. cleaner, comfier seats, and biggest win of all- the seats recline further! Could not speak to anyone or get them to call me back when trying to make a reservation-- was a first time user and had several questions. Made my reservation online and received a confirmation and directions for check in. Our guest went to the area in the directions and got left behind. I did not get a call back until 7:20 after the shuttle had left. The basic problem here was communication. But what made it worse was the way the associate spoke to me when I was obviously in a panic, and then the ensuing email from the company that said I was wrong and to basically go fly a kite (to put it mildly). read more

Let me start in saying that they are the only shuttle service other than the taxi or limo services that offer a shuttle to houston airports. So they dont care about your bussiness because they know they can find others to ride, as the limo service is about $80 compared to their $25-35. They have not only left me, but left other people (coworkers, friends, classmates) as well. They are rude on all sides of their service. They make you feel that you are bothering them with your money. Crazy. If you can get a ride from someone and pay them to take you, I would do that. In fact, I would take the greyhound out of bryan to houston. The rating is due to me having had better shuttle services who care about each customer. They do not not take this chance to serve to treat people (usually students) like crap.They leave people are the airport with no way home, over pack the shuttle, and customer service do not exist. read more

I have used this shuttle service a handful of times, but my recent experience was horrible enough for me to right this review. We were waiting at the airport for the shuttle when we received a phone call from the driver. After changing the pick up location, my Sister was yelled at by the driver for not knowing the new location and was hung up on. Then we received the text message with the new location... We could have made it to the Pick up location but was told they would not wait for us (this was 15 mins before the scheduled leave time). Finally I received a call from the office who wouldn't refund our money... it was a very poor experience and added a lot of unneeded stress which made my sister cry. Make sure you confirm the pick up location because they will not hesitate to take your money and leave you behind. read more

Always extraordinary service, nice drivers, always on time, I have lost planes and arrive late to take the shuttle and they have take me in the next one for free, once I have forget some of my belongings in the shuttle and the driver bring it back to me in his next travel (I had to arrive to the airport 3 hours before flight, cause it was international) it really saved my day and a lot of problems where I was going. I have used this service several times to and from IAH over the previous 4 years. In general, it can be a convenient option. It can also be inconvenient, due to limited schedules on weekends and holidays. Ground Shuttle can be expensive for parties of three or more, or if accompanied by several pieces of luggage. For these reasons rental cars may be a much more convenient and less expensive option, and I've used rental cars about as often as I've used Ground Shuttle. But there is one Big Complaint about Ground Shuttle that inspired this review: Drop-off charges. Recently, in the process of making a reservation for two travelers from IAH to BCS, I selected the home drop-off option, a resonable $10 upcharge. Except that the charge is levied on a per-person basis, so for a party of two, the home drop-off charge is doubled to $20, despite the fact that the cost to Ground Shuttle is the same regardless of the number of travelers dropped-off at the same location. Had we been a family of 4, Ground Shuttle would have helped themselves to $40 of our money for a service valued at $10. This policy is ugly, unethical, and is a blatant rip-off. So, for parties of two or more, the "drop-off" charge is really a "rip off" charge. Shame on you, Ground Shuttle. You have lost my business so long as you continue to impose your greedy drop-off rip-off. The only winner on this trip was Hertz. read more

I used this service on the way to Houston and on the return trip and they were excellent. The first driver was very friendly and professional. He called before he picked me up to ensure I would be ready when he arrived, about 10 min later. He helped with my bags, the van was very comfortable, and he drove well. The second trip from Houston there the driver was more reserved, but very professional. Though he helped me with my bags, I left one of my small bags in the van. I had not realized I had even left the bag and he returned with the bag within an hour to bring the computer bag back to me. Great experience on these two rides. read more

It was a Saturday and the traffic was light for Houston and I thought it was a nice ride. He dropped me at the house I was visiting in College Station and I thought that was well worth the extra $10. The shuttle it self is nice good seats and clean, but when talking about COSTUMER SERVICE is HORRIBLE! I (probably the entire shuttle) had a big problem with the driver. I understand being a driver is stressful but they still need to take care of their costumers. I asked the driver if I could go down with one of my friends he told me this was an extra fee $10 that I needed to pay in cash, although my friend had already payed. (I understand is part of the business) But well when we got to my friend's my friend goes down and the driver slams the door in my face almost crashing my fingers. My friend opens the door and the driver very aggressively tells me to pay him $10 cash if I wanted to go down with my friend. I needed to get the cash from my bag, so the driver ask my which was my bag he aggressively slams my bag down and grabs it tightly. In a loud tone he tells me "Hurry up get the cash out!" I ask what was his problem why he was being so aggressive. He kept being aggressive and loud and I did not wanted things to get worst so I walk off. Yes I understand he was asking for the cash (which I don't know he will actually pay to the company or just take it as a "tip") I was going to pay him, but obviously is someone is aggressive and is yelling at your face the last thing you want is to stay there and wait for something worst happens. My reservation was made online with no issues. All the shuttles that I actually wanted were fully booked -- not a big deal, I get that that happens. I was put on the waitlist for a different shuttle that I wanted, and since then two seats have opened up. Due to a problem in their system, I have been unable to transfer online as I'm supposed to be able to do. They have been unable to help me with this issue, and I've missed out on both seats because of waiting on the phone on hold (I called within a minute or two of hearing the seat was available, and online the seat still said it was available). The shuttle I rode on was pretty decent, just cramped, and the service otherwise wasn't bad. But this system was so frustrating and there was no help or accommodation made, so I cannot recommend this service at all between the frustration and lack of help here. read more

I had a terrible experience with the company. My brief experience is as follows: 1) I boarded the shuttle from IAH, Houston on 28th, 11:30 am without reservation. The driver was a cheerful, confident, over-weight Afro-American gentleman. The ride was smooth except for several jerky lane changes. Anyway, we arrived College-Station... 2) When i requested the driver to drop me at the same place on the main-street where he was dropping a co-passenger off (intersection of Texas and University) he demanded 10$ above the standard price. First of all, on the shuttle website it says extra 5$ for specific-drop off, secondly this stop did not qualify as a specific drop-off. When i said that it was unfair since he did not have to drive any additional distance for me than his standard route, he became very angry at me. I believe he thought that by shouting and being aggressive an international student, like myself, would avoid confrontation and shell out 10$. Well, that did not happen. Consequently, he was so loud that nearby people started looking at us, I felt he could attack me. He called me a "liar" and "cheater". Finally, he said that he was going to "blacklist" me, i.e. I would never be able to travel by his shuttle service. I was like, "yeah whatever". I finish this by saying that i would have happily tipped him with an extra 5$ had he been friendly and polite. THE DRIVER REFUSED TO GIVE ME A RECEIPT, WHEN I ASKED AND POCKETED THE MONEY- which i speculate did not even reach the company. 3) I shook the momentary stress off and started walking to my destination which was about a mile away. I was waiting at a red light, when he drove up, and rolled his windows down to say 'fuck you' out loud, cursed more and drove off. This was absolutely unnecessary! I did not reciprocate and walked away. 4) So far in the story it might seem that the guy was a sucker. But, here is how it sucked worse for me: 5) I was under the impression that there would be a few shuttle services for me to choose from to leave College Station and catch my flight the next day. Haha!! NO, Groundshuttle has monopoly on this part!!! :) suckers!!! 6) Unfortunately, the same guy was driving next morning 7 am shuttle, so I could not board it. Thus, I had to spend $$ to change my flight schedule and request my friend to drive me to the airport, thus costing his precious time + the gas money. Roughly speaking, this whole episode turned out worth ~100$ + precious time of 4 of my friends who kindly drove to drop me off. I had good fun in their company, but that's besides that point. 7) Out of curiosity I just looked GroundShuttle up on Yelp and found that my experience is not an outlier. Bunch of people have had terrible experience with their service. I am quite surprised that the student body at CS puts up with this crap service. Otherwise, how can a shuttle service exhibit such brazen, rotten, conceited ridiculous behavior. Imagine, if i did not have friends and didn't know how to drive, what were my options! I hope university authorities are engaged in and the company owner is informed about such malpractice and a disciplinary action must be taken against the driver described above. I was tasked with planning the ground transportation logistics for an important meeting that involved flying 30+ people to Houston from all over the country, then shuttling them to College Station and back. While planning the meeting from the west coast, over the course of two months, the owner Maria Gonzalez, worked with me by answering numerous questions via phone and email, always professional, courteous and prompt to return my inquiries. Both she and her staff went above and beyond to accommodate our meeting members with their ever changing schedules. I heard nothing but great things from the meeting members that were shuttled from the airport to the hotel. I think it should be noted that Ground Shuttle is the only service in the area so it is nice to know that a company with no competition still cares about having such an exceptional high level of customer service. This is without a question the *worst* shuttle I have ever taken. I do not even know where to start! We were supposed to be picked up at 9:30AM. The driver arrived at 9:00AM. Fortunately, we are well organized and managed to get things out the door by 9:05. After that we spent approximately 35 minutes looping around College Station to pick up other customers culminating at CLL. We were promised the ride would take 75 minutes. We arrived at IAH at 11:35, which makes it 150 minutes. Twice as long as promised! The drive was very unpleasant: I took the middle seat to be able to stretch my legs but, unfortunately, a package was crammed in front of me (see video below). Furthermore, the driver did not bother to ask if we wanted music or not. Finally, and most importantly, the driver constantly exceeded speed limits (70 MPH in the 55 zone near 290-6), and drove extremely unsafely (not signaling, talking on the phone, ...). Clearly he was running late and tried to make up time at the cost of the passengers safety.
