This past weekend, I graduated from Texas A&M and my grandparents flew in from New York to celebrate. As the flights are much cheaper to and from Houston than College Station, they flew into and left by Bush Intercontinental Airport. We decided to try Ground Shuttle to transport them at the end of their trip from College Station to Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston. My grandparents were extremely happy with the service and they are very difficult to please. According to them, the service was prompt and on-time and the driver was very polite. I personally had a chance to look inside the shuttle van when I dropped them off at College Station airport. It is a very nice Mercedes van with black leather seats. I've been regularly shuttling into and out of College Station by way of Houston on Amtrak for a while now, using these guys, and it's been interesting. Basically, these guys operate exactly like a taxi service: extremely questionable driving, utter lack of professionalism, and a crap-shoot reservation system. I've never had the same driver twice. Some of the drivers I've had in the past were reasonable, even human. Others were angry. One lady was following people inches off their bumper, then had to ram on the brakes when the car in front of the van (these things seat something like 12 and don't stop that well) signaled to turn and started to slow down. Then she honked at the car for slowing down to turn. That was one of a few times where the driver just plain had to slam on the brakes. Another time, we were making a left turn while the driver was punching stuff into his cell phone and he looked up and traffic had stopped half way through due to congestion. They often talk on the phone while driving and use the GPS on their phone to look up routes while driving. Several times, we just haven't been in our lane. I've had to give drivers directions to where I was going, not just an address, even though they had the address 24 hours before they picked me up and one even argued with me about directions even though the street numbers were very clearly way off and going the wrong direction. If you call to make a reservation, you're likely to ring over to a driver who is driving and can't take a reservation, and they might tell you to book online instead. The online booking says it'll send you a confirmation link by email, but I didn't get any email after hours, and I checked my spam folder. An email went unanswered. I've always tried to talk to them in the past to make sure the reservation went through, but this can be time consuming and require a lot of calls before someone answers and they're able to take a reservation. Update: hours later, did get email answer and confirmation email. It would be good if their site explained that this requires action on their part and how often they check it. Some times they call you before they come to pick you up and confirm. Other times, they're 20 minutes and haven't called you. Sadly, it seems things have gotten worse, not better. Money might not permit them to hire better people or to have someone who only takes reservations. If so, that's a shame, as this is otherwise a very valuable service. Update: after hours of back and forth via phone ("just use the website!"), the website (no email confirmation or anything for hours), the phone again (no answer), email, I did get an email confirmation and then a string of txt messages and calls, and the shuttle did show up. Still, that was time consuming, incontinent, and nerve wracking. read more

Horrible experience!!! Arranged for a private car 2 months ago and called the night before to confirm a 4 a.m. pickup - driver never showed up. Never received any communication from the company. Called 30 minutes after scheduled pickup and only got a recording. Had to drive hurriedly to IAH in order to make flight! Will never attempt to use this service again! Plus their website says the office opens at 7 a.m. but when called the answering machine says 9 a.m. Can't believe anything they say! They better be preparing our refund check since they promptly took payment when reservation was made! This Yelp site is requiring me to give them 1 star which they do not deserve read more

I have previously used Ground Shuttle in the past and had a great experience with them. However, a warning to passengers coming from Hobby Airport in Houston, they don't have a lot of scheduled times to get you to college station. When I called them in an attempt to get my boyfriend here on one of the earlier shuttles leaving from IAH, they were not flexible at all, even when we offered to pay for the extra travel time of their shuttles, and they wouldn't wait 20 minutes for him to take a private vehicle from HOU to IAH to catch the shuttle. I wish I could give them a higher rating, maybe they could take a look at their policy regarding pick-ups from Hobby again. read more

Let's face it, the only reason Ground Shuttle is still in business is because it's the only service of its type in College Station. Hence why they are able to offer a below-par service. They left me stranded at the airport in Houston because they forgot to print out my reservation and the driver took off early. Plus there is no way to contact anyone in the evening or the weekend so it's impossible to do anything about it. read more

I recently used the Ground Shuttle service and was pleasantly impress with them. I needed to be taken to the Houston airport right during the middle of finals and couldn't find any one to take me, so I looked into Ground Shuttle. I read some of the reviews and was a little hesitant. I've flown several times too, so I know you always need to plan to arrive at the air port several hours before your trip. From reading bad reviews I saw some of the other travelers problems were poor planning/time management or not reading the fine print. I booked my seat about two weeks prior to the flight online, I revived a conformation email, so I knew I had a seat on the shuttle. I did the home pick up option for the 9 am van. If you choose the home pick up option, they will pick you up BEFORE the time listed online, because that time is when they pick up at EasterWood Airport. At about 7am I got a text from the driver saying he'd be at my house around 8 am. When 8 am came he called me and told me he was at my house. When I walked out the door he was there to greet me. He had an umbrella out (even thought it was hardly raining, it was a nice touch) he took my bags and walked me to the van and opened the door. The Van was super nice and clean. It has wifi, direct tv, regular outlets for chargers and individual seats with arm rest. The driver was very friendly and helpful. He dropped me off right at my gate and unloaded my bags for me. I would defiantly take this service again. read more

I don't understand why this business charges $60 round trip to the Houston airport when it only cost us $10 round trip. I asked the manager this question and she replied that if you don't like it find another way to get to the airport. I thought that was totally unprofessional and unfortunately that means that they will continue to rip people off. I guess I will have to go to the Better Business Bureau about them! Gas prices are half price now....why haven't they reduced the fare to reflect that? Charging $50 more is absolutely ridiculous! read more

I recently returned from a two-month trip to China. I had booked with Ground Shuttle (GS) to go from College Station to Houston Intercontinental. My girlfriend and I were traveling but they only had space for one of us during the time we needed. They were fully booked -- fair enough. I hired a taxi to take us at $200 plus tip. Upon our return two months later, I booked with GS to return from Houston to College Station. Our flight got in late at Hou and I had booked on the last shuttle of the night. We had flown over 8,800 miles on three separate flights, changing planes in Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Detroit...needless to say, we were tired and aching to get home. We were depending on Ground Shuttle to be there. After waiting for well over an hour past the "scheduled" time they were supposed to have arrived, I finally took the airport shuttle out to the car rental and rented a car to get home. We did not get home from Houston until 3:00 a.m. when we should have been home some three hours earlier! And, I had to return the rental car to Houston the next day. Ground Shuttle is PITIFUL! Please, please save yourself the trouble and find alternate transportation. Walking would be more reliable than GS. I agree with Sharee M.'s review except for the part of them being rude...I wouldn't know, I never even got that far with them! I DO NOT RECOMMEND GROUND SHUTTLE!!!! They suck. I have never had a bad experience with Ground Shuttle. I have always had them pick me up at my house in College Station and have flown out of George Bush in Houston. They have always been on time and courteous. I have not have them pick me up from the airport in Houston and return home to College Station, though. I would use them again and also would not hesitate to ride from Houston to College Station if the need arose. read more

Their service was excellent. The shuttle arrived on time, and made the trek form College Station to Bush International in record time. The driver was friendly and courteous. I booked the shuttle online using their site, after first calling them to get basic information about the connections. They were very courteous in answering questions. Note that they do not take credit cards; cash or check only. The Rate was extremely reasonable for a 90 mile trip. I would definitely use them again. read more

I used the Ground Shuttle service from Houston-Bush to College Station and back again from College Station to Houston-Hobby. The drivers in both directions were fine and friendly and well mannered. The departure time was accurate and the arrival times were actually a little earlier than the stated times. I would not hesitate to use them again. read more

Ridiculously unprofessional service. 1) Considering all bookings are confirmed over the phone, you would expect them to be careful who is handling that part of their business. The lady who confirms the bookings has no inkling about being consistent, careful about booking dates or what it means to talk to another person with respect. The way she talks, you would think she is herding cattle. Regardless of how respectfully you talk just to get your reservation confirmed (gritting your teeth through the conversation), she yells without ANY reason, snaps rudely and even hangs up the phone mid-conversation! If this is your only way of commuting from college station to houston, be prepared to be treated in an undignified unprofessional manner. 2) The drivers that leave you home, some are timely and courteous. The remaining have no inkling of timing, forget to pick you, so you need to have backup rides ready or you will miss your flight. Some others that drop you home, have no sense of direction. It took us 1.5 hours to reach from houston to college station, and another 1hr50min for me to reach my house, because the driver was just incredibly confused about where everyone lives. I cant believe I was being driven around in college station longer than it took us to reach college station from houston. After the tiring flight trips these days, this is just the last straw. 3) I have been quoted the wrong price on several occasions, all because the driver assumes he picked you up from Hobby, and will slap on an extra $6. Other drivers assume tips of 8$ and do not offer to return change. The point is not that its only about $6-$8, the point is this all adds up to be an awful experience after being yelled on the phone, driven around college station for over an hour and then them quoting you the wrong price. Travelers are tired enough, these experience just add to the travel stress, especially after international flights. I hope for all your sake, everybody has an optional ride/car available. We have used them several times and have had no problems at all. Very friendly. Safe, sane driving. We Live in College Station and drive to our little airport to catch the shuttle to the Houston airport. Simple and easy. When flying into Houston we get the shuttle there at airport and it brings us to the CS airport. If we have no need to go to the CS airport, for a very few dollars more they drop us off at our home. It's a pleasure to not have to drive in Houston traffic and quicker than driving to Houston, trying to find a place to park, then dragging the luggage to the terminal. I can't think of any reason to not use them. I also can't think of a reason to not double check all parts of my travel arrangements including this shuttle service. I've used Ground Shuttle for two round-trips between CLL and IAH, and I haven't had a bad experience yet. Their site was easy to use and made instructions and pick-up times clear. The vans were pleasant and comfortable, and my drivers were always polite and considerate, and also more than happy to help with luggage. They do have to keep to a certain schedule, but my drivers did everything they could to accommodate me. On my latest trip, the driver texted me the night before and called me the morning of my trip, then called again right before he got to my apartment to make sure I knew he was there. On the trip back, my flight was delayed and I was afraid that I would miss my shuttle, but the driver called me to find out where I was, and he made a special trip out of his way so that he could pick me up from my terminal. Best of all, the fares are so much more reasonable than if I had to make a connecting flight from College Station to Houston - even when you figure in tips for the drivers, which you really should, because they're good folks. I'm planning on another trip this summer, and I know that I'll be happy to use Ground Shuttle again. read more
