This was my first time I've been here since I was in the city visiting. I ordered the seasonal drink: brown sugar toffee nut latte with almond milk. I didn't really like it that much. It didn't have any sweetness to it and it tasted bitter. I asked for more brown sugar but that didn't help at all. It's a bit pricey For the drink I got. Cute place. Such a cute, well needed addition to the East Village! Ordered an iced Americano- wasn't bitter and wasn't watered down; just perfect. They offer a full range of add ins at the bar- including cinnamon and honey(a necessity!). Happy to make this my new go to spot for all my caffeine cravings. read more

Great food and drinks but man, working here is not great. There is a 90-minute limit on tables due to limited seating, and an employee approached me with somewhat of an attitude as SOON as I reached the time limit - despite empty seats in the cafe. This shop is super local to me so I'll continue to grab coffee to-go, but don't recommend if you're looking to work or study for an extended time. read more

This is a new place here in Downtown Long Beach California . Came in here today for their soft opening I had a organic peach black tea and my girlfriend had vanilla latte . The tea was great , and the vanilla latte was good also . The environment was very welcoming and the decor inside classy and modern . The baristas were very nice and helpful and the menu was simple yet eclectic and full of great items to choose from with some new teas that I have yet to try like "valerian dream" or "moonlight jasmine" . I believe this place deserves its 5 stars and 5 shakas , so if your a local from Long Beach or visiting from Hawaii stop in and give this place I try I'm sure you will enjoy it as much as I did . the staff is plain just weird. I never really like going to places where they feel annoyed just by taking your order. they don't place phone orders either which is fine but unheard of. the drinks are ok for being considered "speciality". energy is everything and i think that's what they're lacking here. very uncomfortable customer service. read more

I have been here a couple times and the coffee is good. In the past I had a seasonal latte and a coffee. The lattes don't come out exttra hot, so if you like extra hot ask. this time I got the latte with a Scoop of mushroom stUff. They recommended pat milk with it. IT was very good. Not too sweet, really good I'm glad they recommended. I don't like paying a whoLe dollar for oat milk but it seems to be the going rate. Happened to find this place on accident and it's one of the best coffee shops I've been to! Super friendly service, quality drinks, and nice vibes overall. I was about to order and the lady says to me "can you cover yourself" mind you I had a flannel over so you can see the crease in my cleavage but I was COVERED. I asked, " I have to be covered in here?" And she said this is a family business so I ask everyone to cover themselves. I said okay I understand and respected it. (Even though I was covered) I turned around and there a woman sitting with a tank top and cleavage out. I sat outside to not "disturb" and she came to check if I was sitting outside. Ridiculous. Me and my boyfriend have been there twice. The first time my boyfriend simply wanted more creamer and the guy at the register gave him a lesson with nasty look in his eyes and rude response,all my boyfriend wanted was more creamer that's all. I felt that he tried to belittle my boyfriend it was unnecessary. I decided to give the place a second opportunity. I order a latte and simple coffee took them a while to bring one drink at a time. When they brought my coffee the guy that deliver me the coffee told me that a fly had just flew in my coffee before he placed on my table. I decided to keep it my coffee so that I could personally take it back and ask fir a fresh one. I kindly ask for a new coffee, explain why I needed a new one. I told her (the owner)exactly what happened that I had a fly in my coffee as I was walking she turns around ask the server in Spanish assuming I did not the language to see if I was lying , 10 minutes later she brought me the coffee herself and ask me how did it happened. Instead of apologizing, question me again. Worst experience ever. We came to the conclusion it's a very hostile environment and she's a narcissistic person. read more

Cute place. Family owned business so I appreciated that as my family runs its own business as well. I used to go here often. But it's pretty overpriced. The drinks are good but their espresso pulls are short, so you basically have to order a third shot to get an actual double. But I appreciate their drinks aren't too sweet. My experience has been for the most part positive as the staff has been nothing but kind to me. I think I'd still frequent there if their prices didn't feel like they were pulling my leg in other words unreasonable. It makes it hard to reason with, when there are other coffee shops less than a mile away that are better quality with reasonable prices. A couple of times I have been there and redeemed my discount deals they promote if your on the rewards system and the owner gives off the impression that she hates it and doesn't want to give the discount. Which I would understand but they are the ones offering it. Lol. Also the last time I was there I asked the owner if she preferred cash as support of local business and running a family business myself we know it's a courtesy gesture to ask the owner what form of payment they prefer as they see it benefits them. She responded with I don't charge extra fees for you to use your card. All of sudden I felt like I was speaking to a car salesperson. That was the moment I decided I didn't want to support a business that was going to lie to my face considering the over priced items on their menu. That's my experience and it has been positive overall but there are obvious important factors that have caused me to buy coffee elsewhere. The shoe doesn't fit all but it fits some. I wish this business well as I support locally owned businesses and everyone has their opinions. I just hope the important ones are taken in to consideration so more local businesses such as this one can thrive in the long run. read more

This place has some really fun creative creations that are truly an art. I had a plain latte and it was amazing, very creamy, the coffee was smooth and strong. My boyfriend had the orange cardamom latte and he loved it, nothing was overpowering but perfectly paired I never thought these two would go together but they do. We got a coffee cake and he got their almond toast and they were both pieces of paradise.
