This company is reckless and unskilled. These tree rings and patio were completed 2 weeks ago and…read moreare already breaking apart as you can see from the pictures. They overcharged for work they did not know how to do. When I questioned their methods and repeated 2 outside professionals' expert explanations of the issues, they condescendingly told me to "google the ramming earth method they have used for 20 years" and acted like I was overrating to my patio caving in on itself. I did google it and found out it was indeed the wrong method for a raised/sealed patio and would cause it to sink into the ground and break, which you can see is already happening mere weeks later. When I asked how they would fix the issue they said they would remove an isolated area of stone that dipped into the center to reinforce that part and add more mortar to the top to fill in the sinking seams. The issue is that they used permeable sand that allows water to break down the seams and because the base isn't reinforced with cement/rebar, the water that leaks in and the weight of the stones make it sink deeper and breakdown into itself. I had stopped payment on my second check so we could work out a solution but other professional opinions were their solution wouldn't actually resolve the problems, it would just keep happening. They told me to use the second half of my payment to hire someone else, so I did. When I asked them for the remaining refund of the patio (excluding the tree rings that weren't even circles and had already cracked apart) because I didn't want to pay for something that needed to be demolished and redone, they responded with a bill and threats. The email was attempting to convince me that I had accepted their work and was there to oversee it all, which I wasn't and also, I'm not a foreman or masonry - I accepted ugly work but didn't realize it would also fall apart. They attached a bill for full payment, going back on their previous statement to keep it, and threatened to put a lien on my property if I didn't pay. Luckily, that was unlawful. I replied inviting them to see what has happened to their work over the last couple of weeks and provided them with access to a photo drive with over 100 photos and a video so they could see their work. They accesses the photos but ghosted me. If they, and their work, had integrity they would have handled this situation respectfully and appropriately. I don't want others to have to be in my position so I'm sharing my experience in hopes to prevent you from getting a hazard installed on your property and having to pay twice.

His artistic…read moreeye and deep understanding of landscaping completely transformed our yard into something beautiful and functional. They rejuvenated our side yards, completely transformed our backyard, and built a stunning outdoor kitchen for us. We've been struggling for years with tricky elevation and irrigation issues along the sides of our house, and Manuel really understood the problem and offered a great solution. His design was not only practical but also visually stunning. We had a pool put in the backyard by Cody Pools and alone it would not be the paradise that it is! The pool is beautiful, but the landscaping truly created a personal paradise! We can't forget about the outdoor kitchen. They built exactly what we wanted and precisely installed all the appliances. What a dream! His crews showed up each day ready to work hard--they put in long hours with care, efficiency, and professionalism. Every person on the team was skilled, respectful, and clearly took pride in their work. If you're looking for someone who combines creativity with technical expertise, Austin Gardeners is the team to call. We're beyond happy with the results!

My backyard pond feature (800 gallon, 3-level waterfall) turned out beautifully. The pond sits on top of the pre-existing lawn irrigation system and Phillip expertly rerouted it all successfully. He also stocked the pond with small fish that eat mosquito larvae, so I won't contribute to that problem. Project was completed in a timely manner and at a reasonable cost. Communication was excellent and all appointments were kept. Several foxes with their kits visit at night to quench their thirst, just an added bonus. Recommended. Many thanks.

This is an All-In-One business, Jensen does the design plus runs things, and he is a fortunate blend of talented but also experienced. Just take a peek at their website - those designs are both cool but also thoughtful. We wanted a total backyard redo, including turning a pergola sitting unused in the middle of our yard into an outdoor living room cabana complete with a metal roof and decking flooring. We wanted so much, including but not limited to: ripping out an ugly stone patio off the house's back to replaced it with a roofed over decking floored dining area, then adding an open patio area with metal planters and built in decking bench seating. We wanted landscape lighting, welded metal edged flower beds, more planters, and by the time the project was almost done we added in having them do high quality artificial turf. They had to do wiring, plumb a propane line for a propane fire pit they made out of a huge boulder, roofing, metalwork, decking, planting design and implementation...they reworked and updated our irrigation... It was a lot and they were just amazing at all of it. Jensen cared as much about having everything done right as I did - and I am very picky about quality. And I can proudly say this backyard now looks amazing - like the boutique resort hotel outdoor lounging I was hoping for. We love being in that yard as much as possible now. I cannot recommend Jensen/Red Agave enough, but: five out of five stars all the way! Just absolutely, completely, ...excellent!!
