When making an appointment I made it clear that I only wanted a bath, brush, de-shed, and nail trim. I wanted nothing cut or trimmed at all. The gentleman on the phone assured me that they wouldn't do anything but that (as I do the rest myself at home). When I picked up my dog the groomer I was told that I would have a $15 additional charge since my dog was "difficult to handle" (this had never been an issue at any of the groomers he has been to so I was shocked but none the less complied). She then informed me that she scratched my dogs nose with the brush. I wasn't worried about it at first because I figured it was an honest mistake, it didn't look noticeable at the time, and I appreciated her telling me upfront. I paid and went home. Once I got home his nose was bleeding and he kept licking his private. I took a closer look and saw that not only did they cut around his stomach, they cut the tip of his private and it was also red bleeding. I know that it is customary to do a hygienic clip during a groom but I specifically asked for nothing but the bath and NO CUT AT ALL. My poor dog is now having to wear a cone to prevent him from getting an infection where they cut his private. His nose is starting to heal thankfully but I'm still very concerned about his other injury. I'm disappointed and heart broken that my baby is suffering from something that never should have happened.

And she even added cute pigtails with bows. This business is busy (I'm glad- hope they remain around for a long time) so they book sometimes 2-3 months out, but don't let that deter you, just plan ahead or ask if they can place you on the waitlist. This wonderful family-owned business is exactly what I was looking for. My little Gucci girl is usually very anxious when meeting strangers. She looked very comfortable in Josh's arms before I left, and was completely calm when I arrived to pick her up. I really liked the open design concept. Not a single dog was in a cage, and I was able to watch the gentle groomer as she worked her magic. Every dog looked AMAZING! Kerry M. was our vet and she walked us through every step, educated us, was patient, and was so kind to Iverson and us. I had to cancel the first appointment because I was not ready to say goodbye. They offer a cancellation window up to 4 hours before your appointment and allow you to carry over your deposit to when you reschedule, with no extra fee. So thankful for this understanding. The cost may feel steep, but the in-home service is so so worth it. Iverson had his last meal while the pain meds were administered. It was a distraction where he didn't even notice. He felt safe and comfortable in his home, surrounded by family and on his favorite couch. He was then given a sedation medicine where he drifted into a nap on my chest. When the final medicine was given, he felt no pain as he crossed the rainbow bridge. I have heard horror stories from other in home service companies. I had 3 friends use Caring Pathways and that is why we went with them. I am so grateful and thankful that we chose to work with Caring Pathways. It helps with acceptance and closure and provides a peaceful passing. I will forever recommend them to other family and friends who need to say goodbye to a family pet member.

I know my Lolly felt at peace with her transition. I will never take a pet to a vet clinic for euthanasia services ever again. On the day of my appointment, I was nervous and scared, not sure if it was the right time. When they told me "Chas" would be my vet, I felt relieved. Because the last pet I euthanized was nicknamed "Chas," so I know the universe was telling me it was the right time and that my other pets were with me to greet her. Thank you thank you thank you, Dr. Chas and support staff! You made my pet's passing very comfortable and special. Dr. Chas is very wonderful.

Now I bring my 2 new puppy mill rescues to her, a Yorkie/Maltese mix and a Cavapoo. My Cavapoo is frightened of everything and Julie takes her time with her to help her feel more comfortable. My Morkie is a little sassy and Julie does such a good job with her as well. They always look fabulous! One of the most important things to me when I originally started with Julie, is that she grooms one dog at a time so your dog isn't sitting around in a cage for hours waiting their turn. Even though I have moved further away, it's worth the drive!
