Plus some fresh produce for grilling and it was all wonderful. It is a great little store, very small but pretty much has about anything you could need. The store was very well stocked and had lots of small containers of different types of salads and sides at decent prices. I like that they were small so I could choose a few to see which ones I like the best. They also take Apple Pay which is always a plus for me. They only have two check out lines but they have two people working both registers so it moved pretty quickly. Great store and worth a visit.

Aldi is a great place to shop for everything, I was a bit concerned because it is bit different than your every day grocery stores but the prices can't be beat. Most recently I dashed out while my mom watched my 8 month old to get a hostess gift for our family friend. I was greeted as soon as I entered by perhaps the owner (a friendly blonde woman). I told her I was looking for specific gifts (cocktail napkins, coasters, and a candle) and she showed me where said merchandise was located in each of the rooms. The store is cozy and inviting, as the name suggests, and is full of beach themed goods for home. It's a great spot for picking out a quick hostess gift, or a clever birthday gift (think cute wooden signs, pillows, cheese boards etc). The store isn't cluttered though it is full of options. I found some beach chair coasters (heavy and substantive), and a lovely candle that had an orange vanilla fragrance and helped feed a hungry child in South America with its purchase. I tried to use my Target card but stupidly didn't realize that it only works at Target.com or in Target stores (I don't have the master card that works everywhere). Oops. I only brought an AMEX but she kindly let me use that. I would have had to go back to our beach house and get my other card. I will be back next time I am in town looking for a gift. Friendly service and an inviting shopping atmosphere are a plus!

What I thought were sheets turned out to be a duvet cover. As soon as I realized the mistake I immediately went back to the store to make an exchange. I was met by the rudest sales person I have ever dealt with. I explained the situation and was told all sales are final. Lexi went on to lie and say she told me at checkout what I was purchasing stating it is their policy to do so. There were 2 of us checking out, my daughter in law and I both heard Lexi say "These are standard size pillow cases, are you aware of that?" To which we both replied yes. She never mentioned the duvet, had she done so we would have realized the error immediately. The duvet was in the bin labeled Queen size SHEETS. It was an honest mistake. I was not asking for a refund, just a simple exchange. I have been buying S&L since 2009 but am sad to say they lost a good customer. Will never shop at any Serena and Lily store/outlet/online again. I reached out to Manager and customer support with no luck. The lack of respect for loyal customers begins with their corporate team and ends with local store managers. The store was brimming, almost overflowing, with curated women's clothing and accessories. I think we all found a little too much that we liked, including a summer dress, cardigan, and lots of jewelry. The prices were fair and ranged from $8-25 for the items we purchased. There were some designer pieces that were definitely higher and some folks may be disappointed if they are looking for dollar deals. Everything was hand selected for quality and condition so I think the prices reflect that. The shop keeper was very busy but cordial manning the phones (with lots of callers inquiring about consigning), ringing up sales, and helping in store customers. I will definitely go back to shop and explore other offerings in Ocean View, DE when time permits!
