Ok so to be honest I would still keep coming because I like their variety of specialty items at a discounted price. They even have a decent assortment of Asian items. But the staff there is just so cold, there is positively no welcoming feeling there. We completed our purchase and when collecting our items we dropped a bottles drink which spilled all over the floor. Our concern was to make sure they have someone clean it up so no one slips. Cashier was reactionless so we alerted what appears to be a manager and she gave us a blank look. Really bizarre. read more

I had tried the Grocery Outlet about 2 weeks after opening, which isn't really an optimal timeframe to get an accurate opinion of any retail or food establishment, so I'll try again. My opinion was that a lack of product selection & lack of brand variety, along with not real clear savings make it a wasted trip to shop here, with good ol' Aldi beating them hands down. Normally I'd give Grocery Outlet 5 stars. We love the variety and diverse products at such great prices! Some items are normal priced while other items are marked down. Definitely check for expiration dates. The cashiers are nice and friendly. However, today's interaction with a white haired, older/middle aged woman, who I assume is the store manager, was extremely rude. Someone in our group picked up a Naked Juice smoothie which was marked down to under $2 but rang up around $8. We noticed this at the end when we got the receipt. So we showed a photo to the manager who came up to the register and she even said another customer had said the same. She proceeded to run to the back to pickup a smaller size that was the marked down price. She was telling us in a very defensive manner that this was the $2 bottle. But isn't this misleading when the tags in front say the lower amount? We had a photo to show for it. She made us (the customer) feel like we were in the wrong and somehow made us feel guilty and bad. Go back and fix the tags so you don't mislead other customers. This also would not have been a big deal if she said oh sorry we will fix this. We aren't the first customers who this happened to. Also I would not want to work there and work for her if that's how she treats customers. read more

Fantastic "hidden gem" only because from the name and conversion from department store space you might not expect a full grocery store with produce, dairy, every type of staple, AND specialty items including organic and gluten-free packaged goods AND FROZEN food at notable discount to the area supermarkets. It's also a manageable size to walk around and cross almost everything off your list in one place. Hours are consistent and open everyday I think holidays as well so for me the vibe for this place is selection, great pricing, reliability. It took me so long to go in to explore thinking it was weird overstock, don't make that mistake! For fans of Trader's Joes this may be the closest thing at the beaches, just with a gazillion brands rather than private labels. read more

Recommended by a neighbor as substitute for Costco (only one is 90min away). Very pleased. Not many organic produce options though. But the only place in the area offering organic frozen cherries (for now). CAUTION: their buyers seem to be operating on a "catch as catch can" system meaning what you're depending on from them today may not be on the shelf next time. So if you see it, get it. Wish they would carry plain Silk yogurt. Can only get that at Sprouts now - which is also 90mins from here. read more

This is my favorite place to get groceries. After becoming a fan in PA, I was thrilled to finally see one arrive in LSD. Today, I picked up raspberries for $.99, ground pork and ground chorizo for $2.99/lb, two small red-rind brie for $2.99 each, fresh asparagus for $.99/lb, a nice wedge of imported Estonian grand regale cheese for $3.49, and a pound of uncured black truffle salami for $9.99. I even bought a bag of PIPcorn baked jalapeno cheese balls for $1.99. You can't beat the price of most things. They even have a section that reminds me of the Aldi aisle of shame. They may not have everything you find in a traditional grocery store, but that's part of the fun. You never know what you might find. There are quite a few things you will learn are regular items. Then there are the interesting things that show up. Lots of great and high quality items if you take the time to look. read more

Usually love this store. However, just had a horrible encounter with Owner/manager Bridget. She was completely rude and disrespectful. We accidentally left chicken there, so we went back and when we asked if there was anything they could do she looked at us and said "Nothing I can do. Not my problem, that's yours". Grocery Outlet in Rehoboth Beach, located in the same shopping center as Walmart and Michael's have organic produce and organic dry goods at fair prices. Don't forget to take your reusable bag(s). The feel to the store is a warehouse or maybe Sam's Club. They carry produce, meats/seafoods/dairy though some of their prices are not much different than a regular grocery store, some other produce items are priced very generously along with meats/seafood items. They have ample aisles :-) They take credit card/ Apple Pay and of course cash :-) I'd like to go there a couple more times as I didn't make it to their dairy section. Though I did hear the eggs weren't priced any lower than ACME/GIANT. read more

The store was large and well-organized. They had a lot of interesting and unique items. Some of the prices were very good, but some unfortunately seemed right on par with regular grocery stores. Besides food they also have cleaning supplies and home items. It's a decent place to get your grocery shopping done, and if there's anything you can't find there's always Walmart right across the parking lot to get anything extra. read more

I do not plan to return. Whatever small amount of money I might have saved just wasn't worth the hassle. Staff overall were not friendly or eager to help. Limited product selection and one bag of my groceries did not come home with me. The cashier seemed very distracted and I did not notice items missing until home. Check your store receipt for potential mistakes, as another person stated. Not impressed. Perhaps things will improve. read more

On my 3rd trip to the store, week 2, I was able to take my time to shop. I picked up 3 items. After paying and looking at my receipt I found that I was overcharged for 2 out of 3 items. They had no courtesy desk so my only option was to go back to clerk that checked me out even though all lines were very busy. He directed me to a clerk in one of the lanes. She made me wait until she waited on 3 customers. After she checked, I was overcharged $1 for each of the 2 items. I know if I shopped for a large order, I would never know.
