It's the thrift store of grocery stores. The limping carts squeak, the skinny parking spaces are painted too small, the automatic doors groan and protest, there are passive aggressive handwritten signs to the staff posted everywhere, the oversized polo shirt uniforms rival a pawn shop staff, I don't know when the last time the stained hand baskets were sanitized (if ever), and the falsetto overhead announcement recordings will make you want to stab your eardrums with chopsticks. Also if you've been standing in a long line for 9 years, and a cashier opens another lane... the cashiers will 100% of the time say, "I am open on 2!" which is swarmed by customers who have been waiting for literally 5 seconds. It would help if they said, "May I help the next person in line," which would of course allow the person to be waiting the longest to actually get served next. That being said, I love thrift stores. The prices are outstanding (seriously 1/2 the price of QFC across the street, on most items), the wine selection is top-notch, and the staff is some of the friendliest people in the world. Except maybe some stockers who are clearly assigned stocking duty due to their underlying hatred for the human race. But most of the cashiers are great. Especially David. Not the fastest, but he definitely puts the quality of relationship above the speed of his checker time. This is rare in this day and age where cashiers are timed and told to crank through customers (e.g. Costco, Safeway, QFC, Target). Someone give that man a raise. read more

Not giving the inside store the review but the outside parking lot. My 1st time to come here since I dont work that far from it. I entered the parking lot and notice a guy with a skate board just skating around the parking lot looking around. I said to myself maybe hes looking for someone. Well I was wrong. As I waited in my car since I didnt feel comfortable that this guy just keeps going around. I waited at least 15 minutes. Within that 15 minutes he takes his shirt off, goes to a customer and you can see the customer trying to wave him off, then he starts skating again and keeps looking at me. Odd brand names for most of the items, but if you don't mind spending time to look for a deal, they are here for the taking. Be sure to check their wine specials in the local paper because sometimes they have AMAZING deals. I'm pretty sure that in more then one instance they didn't know what they were selling because they had the price about $30 cheaper than any other place I'd ever seen it. read more

I'm ever SOO grateful for this store!!!! Life happened... can't really afford to eat... here I can get chicken non dairy milk.. frozen organic blueberries SOO much more... because of my precarious health.. there's not alot I can afford to eat... here I am able to put meals together... the employees are very kind and helpful!!!! I don't care about their uniforms, I love the smile on their faces and willingness to help... The only reason I shop at Grocery Outlet is because they have pretty good prices otherwise you would probably never have me as a costumer... The Staff is very rude and a lot of the staff members look like they would be happier working somewhere else. Which pushes out negative energy onto the costumers. In my opinion i would much rather shop at the Bonney Lake grocery outlet where the staff pushes out kind energy. But gas prices are expensive... read more

i shope here alot. its not a normal sort of grocery store. but i definatly like to piock up what ever is on my weekely shopping list that they have. this store saves me alot of money on their discounted goods. wired lables and sometimes close to out of date. but it hasnt killied me or made me sick. so i dont have any problems getting a deal :) read more
