Placed an order and paid the amount through PayPal. Next day get a notice from PayPal of an additional $9.60 so I call Grizzly. They said it was for shipping (which was free) and charged in error. They would put through a credit and should be resolved in a day or two. A week later and no credit so I call Grizzly and they say the paperwork for the credit was filed. Called PayPal and they have no record of the credit. Call Grizzly back and they say there is nothing they can do because the paperwork was filed. After a year of arguing and being told no for an obvious factory defect, they finally set up for me to ship it back. They did fix the machine but that does not negate the fact it sat in my shop for over a year not being used. They sent me a piece of equipment that wasn't usable and then refused to warranty the piece until I was ready to catapult the damn thing into their store. My wife had to really dig in to get them to make it right. Shouldn't have been a question, they should have just made it right in the first place. I wasnt able to open the crate right away because I was taking care of my father that recently passed away. This was an awful experience when they could have avoided the entire deal by having better quality controle. Grizzly delivery and customer service sucks! I have been waiting 8 weeks for the second box (fence and rails) for my table saw which was lost in shipping. My table saw is half assembled and I had to buy and INCRA fence and rails which by the way is way superior to the Grizzly. Every time I see the table half assembled my stomach turns. I have tried without results to get it with no success. If you have a second choice I would go with that and avoid Grizzly all together. I will NEVER buy anything from Grizzly ever again!! read more

I've bought several large machines from Grizzly over the past few years, with my recent purchase just a day ago. I've had absolutely no rust issues and no problems with delivery - so far. I bought my cabinet saw 3 years ago, and it was delivered via UPS, and the driver actually used his pallet jack to maneuver the item right into my shop! I went to the Bellingham warehouse and picked up a jointer and planer with a rental truck a year or so ago, and after unpacking them, the jointer had minor damage to the cabinet at the bottom. I called customer service and sent them a couple of pictures of the damage, and rather than crating and hauling it back to the warehouse, they agreed to give me a new mobile base as compensation! I was very pleased with the outcome of this deal! I just purchased a large Grizzly band saw (19") and requested delivery with lift gate service, and expect it in a few days. I'll see how that goes, but I don't expect any delivery issues. It's a very large item, so I'm preparing for how I might maneuver it into my shop without assistance. I've never had rust problems with any of my machines, and dealing with customer service has not been a problem at all. I am definitely satisfied with Grizzly and have no negative experiences at this point! read more

I purchased a bandsaw from grizzly. The shipper never called to set up delivery. After many useless calls to customer service, I got the name of the shipper and called them myself. They didn't have the saw, and didn't know where it was because they had dumped it on a 3rd party shipper. After doing my own investigation, I found the 3rd party shipper, only to find my saw had been sitting on theri dock for days undelivered because they don't deliver to my area. Grizzly didn't care. I ended up making a 100 mile round trip to pick it up myself. Currently, I ordered a planer for $845, tracked it all the way to my local UPS hub, where it magically disappeared. Call after call to Grizzly and UPS clearly pointed to the unit being lost. Grizzly said they had to give UPS 8 business days to find it. Grizzly would neither ship a new one out, nor return my money. It's been over a week now since it was supposed to be delivered. Grizzly still won't ship a new one, and refuses to give me my money back. In my book, I call this stealing. Imagine the hell that would break loose if somehow I had gotten a piece of equipment out of them, then refused to pay for it!!! The customer is #1 to any reputable business. Grizzly tools and steel is inferior and horrible quality. I have 2 wood shops next to each other. One shop has a few other brands for all my heavy machines. The other, I filled up with Grizzly machines this year. Jointer, table saw, Rip saws, routers, planer, cnc machines, etc. It hasn't even been a solid year. More like 7 months. While my "other brands" have been sitting in their shop for several years. Not one spec of rust has ever accumulated on them. Every piece of grizzly tool that I have bought 7 months ago (a full shop worth) is rusting or has rusted to the point of needing to be machined down for use. The Jointers and planers are especially hard hit. They are using some cheap quality steel with (obviously) no sealers or anything to protect the metal. I would stay away from cheap priced machines and equipment from them. At least the small stuff can be replaced for a few bucks here and there. But a $500-$2,000 woodshop bench or tool. How do I back this thing back up and return it??? Let alone the warranty office not accepting (over rust) as a warranty defect. Nothing.. NOTHING should rust out within 7 months in a climate controlled facility. read more

What disappointing customer service! I purchased a tool from them, which turned out to be defective (one of the parts on it was broken). I called and the person I spoke to said she couldn't do anything in her department and tried redirecting me to another department. After waiting for a while, the call was disconnected. Rather than wait on the phone again, I tried emailing. After waiting 2 days, they finally got back to me saying that there's nothing they can do! I can honestly say I am disappointed in Grizzly. The products I purchased are only a part of my utter disappointment. Customer Service and Service Technicians are the real leaders in the disappointment category. Ordered a metal lathe that was shipped defective. In part, the problem was evident from metal shavings from a suspected cap screw that fell out before destroying the drive belt. Technical support suggested I make the repairs myself! I disagreed and shipped the lathe back. After being in receipt of the lathe for over a week a phone call was placed and I was informed they had yet to look at it. Received the repaired lathe a couple weeks later and found it was defective because now it would not exceed 600 RPMs. Why technicians would not test drive a repaired lathe before shipping it back is beyond me. SO I had to send it back again where it sat again for another week before being looked at. They ended up replacing it with a new one. So 2-1/2 months after my original order I got a working lathe. Lost a pin. My fault completely and order replacements in July. No shipment or shipping date received so a call was made. Pins are backordered until Sept. 4th. Sept 4 came and went with no shipment or shipping date. Another call was made. Backorder until Dec.1. December 1 comes and goes and no shipment or shipping date or Email responded too so, another call was made. Now backordered until dec. 30. There is nothing great about any of the grizzly products I purchased. I consider them average at best but I hope they last because if I have any problems with any of them, I will just part them out or toss them out so I can avoid the whole lack-luster and less than helpful services of technical support and customer service. Disappointing customer service, products no longer high quality. What's the point? Purchased a table saw one year ago. It rusted within a week. After a month of arguing back and forth with "customer service" they finally agreed to send out replacement plates. Those plates rusted too. After another month of arguing, they sent out another replacement set. I've kept it soaking in oil so it doesn't rust. It's been a year and Grizzly still hasn't bothered to pick up the rusted plates. Each time I contact them, they either ignore me or pretend they don't know what i'm talking about. Since I work all week and live three hours away, I made big plans to drive up to buy a bandsaw on Saturday, February 15th....except I learned they are closed, CLOSED!!!, on the day when MOST Men who shop for tools are off work!!!! blew me away.... Ok, so why did I want to go on a Saturday instead of just T having the bandsaw delivered? Well, it costs $135 if you want it delivered with liftgate delivery. Also, you have to have someone present to accept the delivery since all they do is crop it off at the road. Meaning I have to take a day off work to meet them, and HOPEFULLY the truck will actually be there the day they say they will. It only costs me about $50 to Fri e up and bring it home right to my shop door. read more

Bought a $1,500 machine. The stand had 2 broken spot welds at delivery and would not sit flat. I asked for another stand, they sent a new one. They than said i need to return the old one. Only problem , it is full of fluid, metal shavings, and it will take me 8hours to swap it out... At My Cost. Cleaning it off, Rewiring everything, And lifting off the motor. So of course it took me a few months to even consider swapping out stands. I am trying to run abusiness and raise a child so time is short around here. I than get a COLLECTION NOTICE that a DEBT COLLECTOR is hounding me for $325 for the price of the replacement stand. WTF? because i didnt send back the broken stand (pics weren't good enough) they sent me to a Collection Agency and almost hurt my Credit Rating for a replacement stand that they should have just given me. Probably cost them $50 for the stand. I sent back the brand new stand, still in the box to get rid of collection agent and now i still have a broken Band Saw Table leg. Its sitting on wood blocks. I was prepared to buy $13,000 worth of machinery from this company. I have bought several machines from them in the past. But it seems that their weakest link is the freight company (Saia freight )! I had problems with them then but I was only buying 1 piece of equipment then and I would just deal with it. The same thing happened the 2nd and 3rd time. So I have sold that home and workshop. I bought a small ranch and built a new shop. I was going to order all new equipment for my new shop. I told them that the road in front of my ranch is a 2 lane road with no shoulder and that they could come in my driveway that is a very good gravel road and unload at my new building/workshop. I live in a rural part of Texas. When I gave them my address they said that they would have to get with their freight company. After they did that they called me to inform me that they couldn't deliver to my address and that they would not or could not go on a gravel road. The gravel road is about 100 yards long. I have had several loaded concrete trucks plus several lumber 18 wheelers deliver to this address with no problems. The freight company wanted me to come to their terminal and pick up all of these machines. Which is over an hour away. If I am paying over $1000 for freight then I would think that they could deliver to my door. Plus I am an old guy and it would very hard to me to unload 4000lbs off of my trailer! I can't believe that a large company like Grizzly doesn't have more than one freight company. And ultimately loose a nice sale. Amazon and FedEx don't have problems delivering here. So I will be buying my equipment elsewhere. read more

In early January I received a defective G4888 Marking T-Rule and requested a return label. A week later I had not received a label and took my time to call customer service again. It was discovered that my email was incorrect and that I should receive my return label in 2 days. No return label after a week. I needed one for a project I was working on so I ordered one from Amazon and had it in 2 days. Now the return has turned into a refund request. So again I took my time to call customer service and again I was told I would have a return label in 2 days, AGAIN nothing after a week. AGAIN I took my time to call customer service for the 4th time. I did finally receive the return label and sent back the defective product. I had a similar experience when asking a simple question about a part dimension on the G0899, it took 5 emails to get an answer. read more

As a contractor, I've been using Grizzly since they opened up shop in Bellingham. Good prices on quality cabinet hardware and supplies and nice showroom staff. I have one of their cabinet table saws and a drill press in the shop that work flawlessly and a pile of chisels and other assorted tools. Can't speak to delivery services since they're in my neighborhood, but the people who put together my orders are perfect. read more

Trying to make business with them, made an order for a table saw and a jointer 8" bud one of there reps contacted me bie email traying to confirm the order with a diferente number so I told the guy that I didn't recognize that order number and he cánsele the order. This review is written as an employee who ordered a lathe for an institution: Worst customer service ever. They shipped a 'new' lathe that was so damaged, we had to replace several of the parts. Of course, we documented the damage. Vendor insisted that they were not responsible, though they controlled every aspect of the shipping and refused to let us see the invoice. The shipment from the outside looked completely intact, and there were no dents or anything else on the packing to indicate any damage. However, once unwrapped, we discovered major problems: The equipment was bent in several places, with split seams, evidence of rust, etc. The company gave us the run-around, refusing to accept any responsibility. In the end, we were forced to BUY replacement parts from them, as we were stuck with the initial outlay. They import these from China, and there is ZERO quality control. I would not have minded getting a damaged part if the company took responsibility for it, but in this case, forget about it. Too bad no way to upload photos - you would be appalled. Word to the wise: Spend extra money, and get your equipment elsewhere. This company has no integrity. We disputed this charge, and while we had to initially pay for replacement parts, the shipping company is going to battle with the company for this added expense, for which we have been reimbursed. Spend your hard-earned money elsewhere! NOTE: Yelp does not 'factor in' the other low ratings for this company. There are five one-star reviews, other than mine, and two 2-star reviews. Grizzly customer service is absolutely the best I have ever experienced. I ordered this Maple 6 drawer chest and it was delivered within just a couple of days. However, once I got the tool chest out the shipping box I realized it was damaged. It looked as if the shipper used it for batting practice. I contacted customer service and they were wonderful. They responded right away and arranged for a replacement unit, which arrived within two days and it is in PERFECT condition. Grizzly customer service dealt with the shipper, and they followed up with me every step of the way. And for this price point, you really can't find a better deal on a maple tool chest. The product is beautiful, but it really is the the people that make this company a cut above all others!! They stand behind their product, they are helpful, and they are a joy to work with. Our 52" Shear was delivered today. The crating was horribly done, resulting in damage to the bottom rod and probably more damage that is not easily seen. Wouldn't be that big of a deal except Grizzly refuses to deal with the incident in a timely manner. Customer service is very rude and condescending. They expect you to wait a week while they process the damage claim before they will even ship the replacement. This is completely ridiculous. I would recommend purchasing equipment from a more reliable and reputable company. Not a happy customer read more

I had a G0705 drill/mill which stopped working while under warranty. The motor would start/stop and stutter when attempting to initialize, and despite sending me a part that didn't actually fix the problem, had me crate the drill/mill up on our own dime. They did pay for the shipping, so that was nice. But we were out for production for a few days. THEN, when they shipped it back, they didn't package it correctly, causing it to bounce around like a pinball inside of the crate. And practically blamed us for not noting the damage on the bill of lading, even though it wasn't obvious from the outside. Only after pushing back that "No, THERE IS NO WAY I'm hooking this thing up and attempting to use it in its current state, especially for liability reasons," offering to potentially replace defective parts, they finally agreed to replace it, but during this song-and-dance my machine is no longer under warranty. SO, as a "COURTESY," they're replacing it (their words, not mine). Only after escalation and weeks of our time. I was advised when UPS picked it up, they'd ship the replacement. Only after I sent them the pickup confirmation did they advise that I'd be receiving my replacement several weeks later, because *they're not in stock*... Remember the part where we're a business using this for production? Yeah, so I tried to play nice and asked if I could pay the difference for a similar model. And was told "no, we're doing this as a courtesy, you get no warranty--if you want a different model, you can sell yours as-is without a warranty when you receive it." Grizzly Industrial: The experience from Hell - Buyer Beware! * I placed an order with Grizzly on 3/16/15 for a Parallelogram Jointer. Paid by CC through Amazon. * Received an email the next day from Grizzly that item was backordered until May 18, 2015. "Since we will be unable to ship this item within the time required for orders paid with Amazon accounts, we have cancelled your entire order." * Called Grizzly direct and placed new order with credit card, shipping $99 plus $34 for liftgate service. * Received notice from Grizzly on 3/26/2015 that item was shipped. * UPS freight called said Jointer would arrive on 4/1/2015 * Gave UPS dispatcher my cell phone and asked them to call if they had any questions or problems. * Took day off from work on 4/1/2015 * UPS freight was no show, no call * Called UPS at 7 pm to find out why no delivery * Dispatcher said driver said he didn't think he could go down my road. * I explained to Dispatcher that I live next to a commercial farm that sells Wood Pellets, stone, mulch and that large semi-trucks/18 wheelers go down the road every day. In addition there is a cell tower on farm and large commercial cranes often go down road and turn around. Had they taken the time to call me on my cell I could have explained this to the driver. * Dispatcher said she would have UPS freight manager call me next morning to arrange delivery. * 4/2/2015 - I take 2nd day off from work. No call from Freight Manager. I call Manager, says he didn't get Jointer on truck and will have to reschedule for Friday, 4/3/2015. * I mention that I'm concerned about damage due to frequent on and off loading of Jointer. * Manager states: "The item arrived damaged." I tell him, then don't bother delivering a damaged item. * I call Grizzly, go through phone maze to get Customer Service. I ask for Manager. Talk to Molly. She explains she will rely problems to Grizzly Freight Representative in Bellingham, WA. * Jean from Grizzly Freight calls back. I explain whole story again. * I explain to Jean that I do not want to accept delivery of a damaged planer and then go through the aggravation of having to return damaged parts and order replacement parts. * I ask for three things to remedy the problem. 1.) Send a new planer that is undamaged. 2.) Refund the $134 shipping charge since I had to take two vacation days for a no show delivery. 3.) Make sure driver knows that there is plenty of room for a semi truck to turn around. Or put jointer on smaller truck (though not necessary at all). * Jean tells me that Jointer is on backorder for a month. Jean explains that company will not refund shipping and that I could go pick up the jointer at shipping depot which is an hour from my home. Is this anyway to run a company. Is this good customer service? Who wants to take delivery of a precision machine that is damaged and then rebuild with replacement parts! read more

You be the judge! Grizzly was good enough to take back a bandsaw two years old but had never worked. Lots of complaining in that time. Problem is UPS broke the saw in half, the cast iron part and denied the claim as did Grizzly. Finally Grizzly sent me a new saw, from their scratch and dent sale. I had to pay for crating and shipping and had to buy new parts that were stripped. I am now two years late in getting a saw that I hope will work, (waiting for parts) and almost $700 into a $439 saw. I can't give a review for the quality of Grizzly's equipment but can give a review for their delivery of equipment and customer service...I ordered a wood shaper..I was told over the phone by a customer rep that if the equipment packaging was damaged upon delivery to refuse to accept the equipment....It did arrive extremely damaged with an apology from the UPS driver for the horrible condition of the equipment..The pallet was completely destroyed and the shaper was lying on its' side...I refused the delivery as I was instructed to do by Grizzly's own customer rep.. I immediately called Grizzly and told them of the damaged equipment and informed them it was coming back to them...Grizzly told me THEY would decide if I was to have a new one shipped to me...I then told them, in calmness, that I was going to contact the credit card company and dispute the charge UNTIL they decided whether they would send me a new one...I then called Grizzly the next day to see when they were going to ship a new shaper..Customer service then told me my name was RED Flagged and they would no longer sell me any equipment..I have never been treated this bad by a business..They owner of this company must have an honesty issue if he/she/they expect a customer to pay for a damaged item, which even UPS apologized for the damage, and then refuse to do business with me...I will give a review of how a JET distributor treats me in regard to purchasing a Wood Shaper from them... read more

The only reason I'm giving any stars at all is because their equipment seems to work well and be of a good quality. The reason there aren't more stars is because their customer service staff is possibly the worst I have ever experienced. Their overall attitude seems to be that of it's not their problem. First time I ordered some tooling for my lathe. After over 20 phone calls from myself I finally gave up and let them try to do their job. Over a year later, closer to a year and a half. I called back after finding some paperwork on the matter and was reminded. I found out that the backordered item had at some point been discontinued. That would of been nice to know a while ago. Now I have to jump through their hoops to get my money back after they dropped the ball. Now I placed another order, thinking this time would be different, nope!!! After my order went through the next day I find out that most of the main components in the order are backordered and won't be available for over 2 months. I have a business, and can't depend on company's like this. I can't pay my bills with sorrys and well wishes. I won't be ordering anything else from them unless I'm in no hurry to get it.
