Stop in this little small town cafe and was pleasantly surprised. My son and I came out to wrightwood for a beautiful Scenic drive along Angeles Crest Highway. The reviews were great so we gave it a try. So glad we did. The food and service were excellent. My son had a patty melt and fries and he said it was the best he's ever had. He loved the food. He's fries were delicious and crispy and not over fried. I had a bbq bacon burger and I'd put this on par with just about anything I've had before. It was delicious. So we decided to order a dessert as the menu looked really good. We ordered the grizzly bear brownie Sunday. We almost ordered two, but our wonderful waitress Emily said they are massive, just a warning. So we said 1 will do. And boy was she not kidding. It was massive and also wonderful. Like the old Bob's big boy Sunday's. Man I'm so glad we stopped in this cute little place and ate here. I will definitely be back. Fantastic experience. The service was really good. And we sat outside, which was a pleasant afternoon. I had ordered a chicken breast sandwich. Instead of getting a chicken breast, I got a thin slice of a chicken breast more bread than anything else. I was highly disappointed. They should've put on the menus slice of chicken breast cause that's exactly what I got. Although I paid for a full chicken breast. The french fries were good at least. My friend had the Ortega beef melt which the beef was so dried up that it was tasteless- yes we shared sandwiches.. Don't think I'll be coming back here any time soon. Came in last night with my boyfriend, Hayley was our server and she was the sweetest I loved her!!!! We ordered a lot because everything sounded so good. We got Hot Chocolate, Hot tea, and a coke. What a great little spot in town. The portions are huge (think mountain man breakfast) and definitely fair for the price. Server was super attentive and the coffee was fresh and they had creamer flavor options. One thing to be aware of; butter. Oh so much butter. Cozy charming cafe! After a morning of snowboarding at Mountain High Resorts, make sure you make a pitstop at Grizzly Cafe on your way out. The cafe has the cutest holiday decor, a cabin vibe, and feels cozy. We were seated after about 10 mins of waiting on a Friday around 2pm. We ordered a hot coffee for warmth, an Asian chicken salad, and fajita chicken salad. Our food and drinks came out in a timely manner and the food tasted great! In essence very simple salads yet they were decked out in toppings, loaded with chicken, and tossed just right! I would definitely go back for a round 2 of this salad. So Abbe was acting in an indie film in Wrightwood, so we went up and spent a couple of daze in that cozy little mountain community. Pickings are slim in these mountain hamlets, so we found ourselves dining 3 times in 2 days at the Grizzly Café. The Grizzly has a warm, kitschy vibe, comely waitresses, and a large menu of California comfort food. Think a backwoods version of the coffee shop at the Madonna Inn. Our first meal was dinner. We rolled in at 8:19 on a Friday night. The Grizzly looked closed but the hostess cheerfully informed us that they were still open. I ordered a bowl of homemade chicken tortilla soup ($8.95) and the chicken fajita salad with cilantro dressing ($16.95). Both were ample, maybe even more than ample. Abbe had the seasoned salmon ($24.95) that came with with baked potato and a generous garden salad. She had an Arnold Palmer (3.95) and I had fresh brewed iced tea for the same $.The bill came to $63 and we left $73. The next day, lunch found us again at The Grizz (as we nicknamed it). Abbe had a healthy looking BLT on toasted whole wheat that came with a side of coleslaw. I had an even healthier veggie sandwich with their homemade potato chips. Both sandos were $14.95. Double Yumb. Our Grizzly finale was 8:30 that night. We shared homemade potato chips and salsa ($7.95), a salmon caesar salad ($22), the Salad & Soup special ($13.95 with clam chowder) and an oder of meh spring rolls ($8.95). We had Lori as our waitress and she was sweet as pie! Such great customer service, made us feel like we were family. Inside felt warm and cozy, like Knotts berry farm vibes in Calico. And the food was amazing! I had the Papa bear burger, omg just so good, the bread was so soft and fresh, the burger patti tasted fresh, the pastrami tasted homemade and the fries were nice and crispy, seasonedperfectly. We had wanted to try this quaint little cafe for a while, but every time we passed through town, the wait time was too long. Recently, we finally visited on a weekday at lunch hour and there was only a 15 minute wait so we jumped at the opportunity. Everything from the decor, outside and inside, great menu selection, decent prices, delicious food to the good service far exceeded our expectations. This is not your typical simple cafe/diner, yes they have breakfast food and burgers, but the rest of the menu including lunch and dinner is very good, lots of great options, and good service. And menu is not overpriced for what you get. I had the salmon sandwich and it was one of the best I've ever had. While you're waiting for your table if you're with kids, I highly recommend trying the talking moose. It's only a quarter, the machine is on the wall right next to the counter. read more

We got there and there was a waiting list.. the host told us it would be 40 to an hour since all their tables were being used. we didn't mind but we saw the bar area empty and asked if we could sit there. We were sat about 10 min after arriving. We had some Blue moons & watched the football game while we waited to order. Then we ordered chilli cheese fries, the Grizzly burger and the special of the day; clam chowder soup on a bread bowl that comes with garlic bread! Everything was so delicious! The bread bowl was so good, soft and edible. I've had other bread bowls, that are so hard that u can't eat them. I loved the chili cheese fries and the burger was so nice and juicy. The sang my father happy birthday with complementary ice cream. 《《Cons》》The Penne Chicken Alfredo was not good as it was on the very dry side and was almost completely tasteless and it's a $17 plate. I did not eat any of it and just asked for a box. The drink I ordered was a hibiscus but tasted just as a light pink wine and it was almost $8 for not even a half a glass. 2:40pm. 2/5/22023. Kristin our server/waitress was/is Amazing. They should put her in the front. Because the other two ladies in front were not so friendly or as kind. One was blatantly yawning and talking about me in front of me like as if I couldn't understand English. ‍. The other one gave the guy in front of me the menu to look at but when I asked to also look at the menu she told me to scan it and pointed at the QR code. This wouldn't be a problem if she had done the same thing to the guy white guy in front of me but she didn't and I didn't realize it at the time but she is racist. I'm coming from LA and I can't even remember the last time someone was being racist towards me or my friends/family. It was not a nice feeling and I hope no one ever experiences this. I should have asked for the manager right then and there. They put the three of us at a table meant for two people. Not only were we uncomfortable eating/drinking. It was a hot mess, Utensils falling off the plate onto the floor and not having enough room on the table. Obviously. Food was ok. Melted tuna sandwich was good, shrimp linguine Alfredo pasta was missing flavor. Fries, garlic bread and salad were surprisingly pretty good. Not coming back here but if you do....
