We were in town for the weekend and decided to finally try this restaurant. They open for dinner at 5pm, and the setting is unique, the restaurant is housed in what was once a Victorian home, giving it a charming rustic appeal. I'll admit, the initial smell reminded me a little of an old Las Vegas casino, but don't let that fool you. This is the only true sit-down restaurant in town, and if you're looking for a romantic dinner, this is the spot. We arrived right at opening, and the bar already had regulars enjoying their evening. We were seated in the main dining room, where it was just us, and another party of four. Kara, who greeted us, was bubbly, personable, and welcoming. Our server, Alicia, was equally wonderful. Both ladies were knowledgeable about the menu, quick with recommendations, and incredibly attentive. They had that sixth sense of knowing what we needed before we even had to ask. We ordered a nice variety to share: the tempura, seasonal fire-roasted artichoke, fried zucchini and squash, spinach salad, Malaysian shrimp, Pacific cod fish & chips, and the top sirloin steak. Honestly, we walked in with zero expectations, but this small-town steakhouse really delivered. The food was delicious, but the service stood out as truly top notch. Amazing steakhouse. Blue Ridge Inn is a staple restaurant in the community of Wrightwood. Depending on the season, you can seat inside, outside on the patio, or in the bar. The food is always delicious. The rib eye steak is full of flavor. The steak has so much juice. It is always cooked to perfection. I've also had the artichoke appetizer. Surprisingly enough, IT IS SO GOOD! Nice, tender, and delicious. The chicken is also good. It is full of flavor and not dried out. They offer yummy warm bread with your meal. The clam chowder tastes fresh. The coconut cake dessert is to die for! It's amazing. I've also had their other pies which are also good. The inside is a bit dated from the 70's, but don't let it fool you. The bar area has a nice fireplace. This place is awesome. Took the family here and was so pleasantly surprised by what we found inside. Super quirky and unique restaurant with great staff, service, and good food. I cannot remember her name but our waitress was the best! Extremely attentive, even on a busy night, went above and beyond making sure everything was to our satisfaction, she took great care of us. My kids liked the clam chowder so much that I think they all ordered 2 or 3 bowls of it lol. We had pasta, steak, shrimp, and some appetizers, everything was very good! read more

Knew what to recommend for our dinner ...ribeye steak with rice pilaf and veggies for hubby's dinner and I had the chicken geavy ( I think that's what it was called) OHMYGOODNESS the food is 100% top tier quality and yummy. The food is wonderful with vegan options too. The shrimp scampi is my fave with any of their tasty appetizer. They start the meal with fresh bread and drinks if you choose. Don't expect to run through the meal bc this is fine dining in an old charm dining room with lowered lights. People do not dress up much to dine here vs New Orleans where we moved from which makes me sad. Always delicious desserts too! read more

Sadly since COVID the hours and menu have been extremely reduced.That said, Our party of four arrived about 20 minutes early and had to sit on the concrete steps with 3 other couples. Now with summer temps I would put out some plastic chairs out and open the bar an hour early. Food was excellent we had spinach salad, shrimp cocktail ($26), Geary chicken, ribeye steak and steak with shrimp. I was hoping for Saturday night Prime rib but not to be. Server Nikki was great and didn't rush us as we caught up with old friends. Would like to see the menu enlarged with some of the old items back. Very nice evening read more

Came here on Friday evening. It was fairly busy. We were told about the daily specials. We ordered appetizer, entrees, and desserts. Everything was fresh. Waitress was attentive and friendly. It was a bit pricey, but a pretty good value for the amount of food you get. I would recommend going here for a special occasion. read more

Had the chance of eating dinner here last night with my boyfriend. We came up to see some snow and got lucky enough to eat our dinner while it was gently snowing outside. The service was awesome. The ladies were very attentive and answered all of our questions. I ordered the sirloin steak with rice pilaf. Now that entree comes with vegetables but the amount of vegetables that came with the steak was so.... disappointing. It was literally like three pieces of string beans, ONE Brussels sprout and also a piece of carrot... It was confusing to say the least. The steak itself wasn't too bad, except my plate was swimming in the sauce. I didn't mind it tbh, it was like extra flavor for my rice and veggies. All in all, I enjoyed my dinner here and would recommend it to anyone who wants to eat something other than burgers or sandwiches. read more

If you are in Wrightwood and feel like real food then you HAVE to come here!!!! There food is to die for. I am a picky eater and nothing didn't taste amazing. From their appetizer to there dessert; it was mouth watering. If your a big fan of fried zucchini, this is the place to get it. Not only the amazing food but the customer service was on point. Trigger warning: Racism, unable to be served, employees making racial comments about husband and children. If you don't stand for any of that just never come here and stop reading. We aren't local but were up for the weekend and were looking for a nice place. This is not it. At first we thought they were just super understaffed. But that ended up not being the case. Well over 5 in the front house with things seemingly moving well in back house. I've worked in restaurants of all levels my entire life. At the hostess stand we weren't acknowledged in any way for 5+ minutes, and again it was a slow night. We were sat and no one came to our table for 10 minutes. Finally someone literally wiping sweat off their forehead and and on to the ground asked if there was a drink she could get us but then had to run. So we tell the next lady a of Coke's. 10 minutes later we are flagging them down to order (very respectfully, I've been there with the rude waves all over the place.) And annoyed woman runs by the table and stares at us and keeps it moving. It's now been 30 minutes so I get up to say something and unfortunately heard so pretty intense racial comments about my husband and our children. We left immediately and went to a diner across the street where the food was awesome (looked way better than the double the price, poorly run establishment across the street who apparently won't serve you unless you are a cookie cutter of them and or make it some uncomfortable for you you want to leave. Shitty service is everywhere. As are shitty customers. But cut the racist towny bullshit. It's 2020, welcome. It's never been acceptable ever but really?! 2020?! This could possibly just be a reflection of the waitresses speaking although they both kept running to talk to someone in the bar too. Management: if this isn't what you believe in or stand behind you may want to explore an ethics and morality seminar in addition to a full retraining on how to operate in a restaurant and with the public. read more

We came here for my Bf birthday dinner as our host at our Air B&B recommend for a fancy sit down dinner. It is Covid times so reservations were required and it was outdoor dining only. Sitting on the patio was beautiful being able to breath the fresh air, listen to the birds and overall enjoy the beautiful night. Our server Michelle was very nice, she had a great sense of humor and we enjoyed her as our host. The food was delicious every bit was amazing. Excellent food, all of it. However, the service is extremely slow, the waitress stacks orders. This restaurant is WAY understaffed. Again, the food is good, but don't expect your dinner any time soon. If you want to languish with your date for an extended visit, this is the place. The grumpy, old owner sits at the bar and drinks while the 0verwhelmed waitress does the best she can. BTW I'm a local, I've been here a dozen times, it's always the same. We just ate at Blue Ridge Inn. It has been many years since I have been to Wrightwood and this restaurant. The food was absolutely wonderful. We had the Chicken Geary and it was so tasty, moist and tender with a little bit of spice. For dessert we had the coconut cream cake.....WOW!!!! So tasty and enjoyable. We learned that all sauces and the cake are made in house. Our compliments to the Chef (Chuck) for a very enjoyable meal. Michelle was our server/bartender. She was very professional, personable and attentive. Patio seating is available out front. The bar/restaurant interior is mountain rustic. The restaurant is very clean. Not a nice place. First time the server knew nothing about the meat. She was 'so and sos' granddaughter and all she could say was 'it's good meat'. It's a sad excuse for a steak place. You can find better quality, service and professionalism. Problem is, I stopped in again a few years later, recalling it was lack luster but thought I'd give it another try. It was even worse. The clientele was totally weird. A man at the bar told me he would date me if he were 50 years younger but also said he been going there a long time, since before the liberals came around and he knows the owners are bigots. Not sure what happened to this place. Every year my family comes out to visit me and we make it a trend to eat here. This year... well things have changed. The owners seem out of tune with 2021. No website, no menu, slowest service EVER, and in all honesty an extremely rude server at first. We spent over 350$ for lobster (that tasted frozen) and steak (the only saving grace). The other only positive highlight was a server by the name of Megan, that is where the second star comes into and place. This restaurant has great potential but the owners need to do more than just sit at the bar drink and watch sports. read more
