I happen to be in the area dress shopping for my daughter, and we stumbled upon this place. Cute little breakfast spot. definitely seems like a place a lot of the locals come to. They are not super big inside, but the service is pretty quick so our wait time was not that long. They have a very large menu selection for both breakfast and lunch too many things to choose from had a hard time deciding on what I wanted. The staff was super friendly and we did not wait too long for our food. I definitely recommend getting the cheesy grits. I know it's not for everyone, but they were delicious. My daughter got the crab cake with poached egg and hollandaise sauce. And I got a typical breakfast sampler platter. Someone won a little smash happy with my French toast, but it was good. I went there on a Saturday morning with my cousin and we had a great time. I've been here a few times and have had an enjoyable experience everytime. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. It would be a good idea to get there earlier if you have a large party. We were greeted by the hostess right away and she immediately sat us. While traveling Route 9. South heading towards LBI I happen to notice this little place on the left-hand side and decided to give it a try. I ordered the Benedict's with lox excellent and flavorful especially the onion they incorporated into it next I tried the banana cream pie French toast that would make any person with a sweet tooth feel like they're in heaven. My waitress Nadine filled my coffee cup three times when I was half full she was an excellent hostess. Their grits were creamy and delicious. This was a pretty legit find. My top-tier chums and I stopped here for a patriotic breakfast of sorts on the 4th of July. We were staying in Waretown, which is kind of in the middle of nowhere, restaurant-wise, so we had to roll up our sleeves and do a bit of traveling to go somewhere that wasn't a super generic Dunkin-esque chain. We were a little apprehensive when we arrived to find a mob scene, but the wait was surprisingly non-existent and we were able to secure some seating outside in the shade. But for what it's worth, this is clearly a popular spot amongst the locals which to me is a selling point. I'd already been pretty naughty on vacation so I decided to slightly rein it in with the avocado section of the menu (hot take - all brunchy establishments should have one) and opted for the Glazed Over, featuring avocado toast, poached eggs, bacon and sweet potatoes (bypassing the balsamic glaze, which I guess just makes it an Over). I'm still on the fence with this one. It was a HUGE portion, and I like all of the ingredients involved but I'm not sure it ultimately goes together. Love the egg and avocado toast together, but the piles of sweet potatoes and bacon I think were a little too much, at least for me. Also (and I probably should have realized this beforehand) this is NOT the type of dish to bring home for leftovers. I completely forgot that avocado has zero staying power so the next morning I did not have the freshest bite of this. That's on me, but in hindsight I would have gone for something lighter that didn't have as many ingredients - you're basically cancelling out the benefits of the avocado when you douse it with bacon. But in the moment, it WAS good, I can't say it wasn't. The service was pretty fantastic - we had our drinks within two or three minutes, and all of the food was on the table probably within 10 minutes. It was busy so our waitress didn't have time to chat up the group or anything, but she was professional and efficient. Grits really benefits from the lack of competition in this area, but I'd have zero issue stopping by again. I'd likely get something else on the menu, but that's really more about the establishment offering a lot of intriguing options versus a terrible meal I had. read more

Delicious. We went in around 11 am on a Sunday, and the place was busy but there was no wait, which was great. By the time we left, there was a wait, but not a long one. I had a waffle with blueberries and candied walnuts on too, with a drizzle of cream cheese frosting. Absolutely delicious, because I also ordered a side of their corned beef hash. The "side" serving was a lot! But it was delicious and I couldn't stop eating it. So I took home half of both. Husband had a sampler, with cheesy grits instead of potatoes. The waffle had little to no flavor and just felt squishy, however the chicken was good and definitely added some flavor to the waffle itself. For the price of $15.99 it could've definitely been better and had been a better portion size instead of one waffle with three small pieces of chicken. I've only had the breakfast and I keep going back for more. No matter what plate you get, I do recommend a cinnamon bun with it. They're gooey, full of icing, and well worth the calories. You won't be shorted of anything; all the ingredients they list they truly pile on. The egg & sweet potato combo in various dishes I was skeptical of, but I am so glad I tried it. Their stove top oats are also so satisfying. I typically add strawberries and bananas and sprinkle of brown sugar. For a treat, my favorite is the Main Squeeze Pancakes (blueberry pancakes with fresh lemon curd). You also can't go wrong with the sampler. It may be called something else now. You can get eggs, meat, potatoes, bread, and pancakes/french toast. You get it all. Buttermilk pancakes are on point. Oh, and their stuffed pepper soup is another favorite. This local gem has become an incredible hotspot for breakfast, brunch and lunch. They have a pretty vast menu and slip in some specials every day. I have ordered at least two dozen different plates from this establishment and all have been delish. I have to tell you one of my favorites is the Mother Clucker. A beautiful Belgium waffle topped with buttermilk fried tenders. My husband often mixes it up with on of the Benedicts which are unique and different and super tasty. I think what has put them on the map is their homemade corn beef hash. Absolutely amazing. The cheddar grits are creamy and cheesy and so so good. It's almost impossible to make a bad pancake or French toast and theirs are pretty amazing. No matter what you order you can't go wrong. The place is well staffed and the table turnover is quite fast. It's your typical small country farm decorated eatery that services the locals. During the summer season most of the Benny's invade and during that time it's almost impossible to visit unless you're willing to wait 30+ minutes for a seat. Parking is a bit of a nightmare as the lot only holds about a dozen cars, you're left to find parking on a side residential area. If you happen to find yourself in Bayville, New Jersey, between the hours of 7-2 and you don't mind waiting a spell. You should really visit Grits & Grace. read more

To put it mildly, this was amazing. So many of my favorite breakfast things all on one plate and everything tasted great. Especially the sausage gravy. My wife went with one of their 6 special Egg Benedict dishes, the Dublin, homemade corned beef hash, poached eggs topped with Hollandaise sauce and served with homefries. She's a big fan of corned beef hash and she said it was one of the best she's tried, not to mention everything else on the dish, which was delicious.
