Go to Matt's class for the best workout of your life. It's full of fun loving people with a large community of friends. Feels local yet trend forward. Less expensive than Soulcycle and other options around the OC! Your legs and stamina show a difference after a few goes on the bike! read more

Hands down BEST cycling class I've ever taken! Not only was it uplifting and energetic, I had so much fun doing it. Mike our instructor and all the staff were awesome and very helpful from signing in, getting bike shoes (which they supply), setting up the seat and handlebars, to passing out cool down towels at the end of our ride. My friends and I will definitely be returning & recommend giving the class a try. read more

Only workout I look forward to going to! Love the Costa Mesa studio!!!!

I absolutely loved cycling at Grit! The energy of the instructor and class was so inspiring. It made working out so fun! At my first visit the staff were all really helpful and made sure I was all set for the class. If you love indoor cycling this is definitely the place to go! read more

Grit cycle is the best!!! Cycling is hard but grit makes it fun and a great full body exercise! I love it so much!

I love Grit so much!!! They have the best cycling in Costa Mesa for sure!

I am a newbie to spin and I am absolutely in love with Grit! This location is amazing-- from the instructors to the girls working the front desk. Sammy is An amazing instructor. I have tried a few different studios just to check out what works best for me and have not gotten the same energy from any other instructors. His class is upbeat and he brings the sass that will keep you going and pushing! You can tell he puts a lot of work to the choreography and the playlist. BOPS! I also want to give a shout out to BILLY-- she is the sweetest and helped me get set up on my bike each class. She even help me put my new cleats on my spin shoes and always has the biggest smile on her face. Her and Sammy makes each spin experience so enjoyable and fun. I got my sister to join spin with me now and we are just so impressed!! Thank you and keep inspiring GRIT CM!! read more

Big fan of GritCycle! I love getting good sweat in + this place is one of the best. There is always good energy in the room and the music never disappoints. It's great for new riders + experienced readers alike! read more

Advice to new members. Don't miss a class. If you buy a package and you miss a class they sell your seat and then charge you full price for a no show. They won't take it from your package rate. NO EXCEPTIONS. I was told you get an email reminder for your reserved class (a text would be great). But that is not true. You only get an email if your waitlisted and then added. Be sure to read their strict policies when you give them your cc. The desk is ridged and states policy (with attitude). This is not your local friendly spin studio. It appears they really don't care if you join or not. Buyer beware. The class itself was fine. It is very hot in the room. It would be good to get some air moving. read more

WOW! Grit Cycle surprised me! I have been hearing this place Grit Cycle how great it is, and I finally went to take a class yesterday. It was super quick energetic fun class of 45 minutes that gave me drenched after. The instructor was Monica Gray, FULL of energy, crazy fun, pushed me to the limit, inspired, motivated and encouraged me through the class, who had a great music play list that is very important for me when I work out. Yup, she was a great dancer too! We GRITed on the beats of all songs! That is different from other spin class! Beats on the Bike! What is good and different from others -45minutes of a class goes by nothing! (you feel like IS THAT IT? Want more!) -clean bikes and stabled -chilled towel with relaxing scent after class (that you wanted to hold it forever) -very friendly helpful front desk staff -complimentary fruits -towel prepared on the bike before a class -you reserve a class on line and also you can reserve the bike (where you want to sit in a class) -shoes (all sizes) you can rent (my size was not available on that day, but the stuff arranged me some brackets right away and brought to my bike and put them on for me. -the place is very very clean everywhere -dim lights, dark, disco club kinda lights in a class -the stereo system is off the charts! You can feel your music! WOW! My first Grit Cycle was simply AWESOME!!! Thank you Grit Cycle and Monica Gray for the well spent 45minutes on me! Special Me Time! :) read more

The best spin class you'll ever go to!! Seriously worth the money and you'll love every minute. With all the spin class competition in Southern California, this is my favorite one. #GrittyGang read more

Great venue but not as nice as the Monarch Beach location. Pros: great help with setting up and getting organised on my first visit. Fans turned on partway through the workout (which helped because the room was like a sauna!) Cons: small room and not much space and also very very hot. Limited parking. read more

I LOVE Grit! The energy and positivity from the teachers and staff are amazing. They push you and encourage you every step of the way during classes and you feel really empowered by the end. They have such a calm and cool spot in Costa Mesa. I cannot recommend Grit enough! I'm HOOKED. read more

GritCycle is the go-to place if you want a high-end, high energy cycling workout. Their instructors are top notch and so motivating you'll want to come back for another endorphin rush. Char and Steph are so good - they'll make you want to smile even when you don't think you have enough in you to finish - and they'll be right there with you when you do. This is, hands down, the best cycling studio in Orange County. read more

GritCycle is a nice place for spinning classes and I do love this location specifically. Eucalyptus towels afterwards are super too! Only thing that I cannot stand is the volume of the music. Literally got an ear infection from it. First my ears were ringing for days and pulsing like crazy, then it turned into an infection. This can't be good for you, so make sure to bring your own *safe* earplugs or ask for some at the front before you go in. read more

this is such a sweet spot in costa mesa! the building is inviting and the staff is super helpful. zoe and marissa (hopefully that's the right spelling lol)were incredibly helpful with getting me started with my first class ! also jaclyn, the instructor had a bomb ass playlist and was such a great guide for the ride ! first class is free, excited to come back for more!! thanks ! read more

I love Grit Cycle! if only was closer to home :( either way, after the amazing experience I had in Cassie's class, the drive is TOTALLY worth it. I have never had that much fun in a spinning class before. The community was amazing and the ladies at the front door were able to fix a glitch in the system.. because I didn't see my name on the list. But they were able to find my account sand it took less than a minute. Even tho it was my first class and didn't know most of the moves and how the shoes work hahaha, everyone was so amazing they even help me clipping my shoes to the bike LOL. love the community. love the energy. #HealthyHeartSoThatYouCanLOVE keep up the good work!!! :) read more

Such a great workout! The music ir awesome, the instructor was super motivating (s/o to Charmaine) and staff are super friendly and helpful.

Best west coast spin studio I've been too! Loved going here while I was on vacation and so close to side car donuts!!! Space is great and teacher was AWESOME!!! read more

I have only been to one class so I'm not sure if this will be an entirely comprehensive review, but I prefer other spin studios to Grit Cycle for a couple reasons. First, I found the room to be almost unbearably humid/hot. They have 4 fans on each corner of the room and AC as well, but if your bike is not near those four corners, then you'll feel next to no breeze at all. I'm accustomed to leaving spin classes drenched in sweat, but I felt that the heat was excessive at Grit. Also, the instructor gave minimum instructions on upper body movements (push ups, pulling back, pulling forward, etc.) before starting the class. I tend not to do these movements anyway because I feel like they interfere with my ability to really push myself with my lower body, but if you're a total spin newbie, then you might be a little flustered. And lastly, only one of the 10 songs was a climb (high resistance, lower rpm) - all others songs were either a fast jog or a sprint. It'd be nice to have more variety in speeds and beats. But hey, shoe rentals are free! read more

I love this place! Best cycle studio I've ever been to. Every instructor is motivating and good at what they do!!!

I've heard so many positive reviews on this place! I don't consider myself a 'spinner' or 'cycler' at all, but when my friend (who is a Grit addict) invited me I just had to try! It was so much fun but it totally kicked my butt at the same time! Marisa taught my first class and she was great! My favorite parts were the music, the lighting, the layout of the room, the integration of core in so many moves, the energy, the CHALLENGE and esp. the cold towels at the end of class. AMAZING. I loved it so much I went back a few days later and brought a friend with me (a first timer). Monica was the instructor and did an excellent job of explaining how the class was going to go and making my friend and I feel confidant about what was to come. I understand that she is not on the regular schedule but a sub. I would love to take her class again! I will be back! read more

HELENA! WOW! She is a GREAT Instructor. Fantastic Music, on point Cues, Good Energy, and Super Positive. I highly recommend taking her!!!

Love this place!! The instructors are so much fun, are easy to follow, and make it easy to work hard and have fun. I love the energy of each class and would recommend the studio to anyone! read more

I've been to literally every indoor cycling place in and around Costa Mesa. Love the set up of Grit! I am hooked now. Very clean, great amenities (cold towels). The instructors are motivating and fun! I get a great workout every time. read more

I LOVE GRITCYCLE!! I started spinning at Grit about a month and a half ago and I am hooked! My first class at grit was my first time ever taking a spin class and it was hard but the staff at Grit was super helpful and welcoming and the instructor (Caitlin) was phenomenal! I am still a beginner but I love going to Grit and it is the highlight of my day when I go! The space itself is beautiful and the staff is always super nice and welcoming. The classes are fast paced, challenging, fun, and an amazing workout! My favorite perk at Grit is the cold eucalyptus towels at the end of class(literally one of the best things on the planet)! Caitlin is my favorite instructor for sure although I haven't tried a lot of the others but I'm sure they're amazing! I am so grateful my friends introduced me to GritCycle; it makes working-out and getting into shape so much fun! read more

There is one great instructor here named Matt. His classes are full and his music is great. I bought a series of classes so I could take Matts classes. His classes always have waitlist and sometimes you can get in on the waitlist. Unfortunately they are strict about their expiration dates on the series so even thought I had 5 classes left and I could rarely get into Matts classes they would not extend the term for even a week so I could take other instructors. As a studio if you are familiar with soul cycle it's similar but everything boils down to the quality of the instructor and the music they play. I would say give this studio a shot and judge for yourself but be mindful that if you don't take your classes in the period they give you then you are out the money you just spent. 5 classes is over $100 so it's pretty lame they won't extend terms and let you take the classes you pay for. YAS is another close by studio that has better customer flexibility but the vibe is not as "clubby" as soul cycle. Good luck with your spin studio search. read more

Love this studio! Not only is it an amazing workout- it's fun, has great energy and I've never had a bad teacher!

One of my favorite studios right now! The staff is so nice and the classes are soooo much fun! I love Kelli! Her energy is absolutely the best!! Makes me push myself harder. I always look forward to my classes at Grit. I love bringing new friends and they end up loving it. (who wouldn't love Grit) thanks for an awesome workout!! Xo read more

This is probably my favorite place to cycle right now. Their facility is clean, the employees have always been friendly, and they have clean bathrooms and a shower. The music and atmosphere while cycling is fun and motivating, and the instructors seem passionate about what they do. I never feel stuffy or suffocated here, and haven't noticed an overwhelming smell of sweat like some places. read more

I live in portland and every time I come down to always take a GritCycle class. I absolutely love it here. I take Marisa's class. Great workout. Great environment and all around an awesome place! read more

Came here when I was in town for a few days as this is the only good spin studio in the area, so you might as well go here if you're looking for an intense cardio workout. The bikes are horrible - the handle bar is so oddly laid out that you can't really find a good position. The studio itself is clean but the handle bar on the bike that I was on felt sticky, which doesn't give you the best feeling given you'll be holding on to it for the next 45 minutes. There isn't a changing area or locker room, and there is only one shower in the studio. I took Katie's class and I'm glad that I did because she was super motivating and high energy throughout the class. read more

Love love love Grit Cycle!!!! Lauren Duff's class is my absolute favorite!!!!! Go give her class and the studio a try!!!!

Love Grit! I take the 30 minute Gritty Quicky with Nicci at lunch. High energy, fun music, and I sweat my tush off! I have taken many different classes in the past and this is by far my favorite. They have showers with all of the necessities (shampoo, conditioner, body wash... even dry shampoo, etc.), very clean facility! I would absolutely recommend Grit to anyone who wants to enjoy working out... makes all the difference! read more
