I'm not the best at sticking with an exercise routine; mostly because I lose interest in things quickly and have a hard time motivating myself. But my sister recommended Grit Cycle and I'm SO glad I gave it a chance because the workout is incredible and I actually enjoy it! I love the enthusiasm of the instructors, the fun, upbeat class! I seriously can't recommend it enough! read more

I was nervous to try Grit! This was not just an exercise class, this was an EXPERIENCE! Kim is amazing, full of energy, happiness, and exudes joy. It is not competitive at all. The best part is the eucalyptus cold towels at the end of class. Kim gives great personal motivation, it feels like a work out therapy/ yoga session! Thankful for Grit! Look for their deals as its expensive! They should expand their showers/bathrooms but the environment, and staff are wonderful! read more

From the first class I took here, I knew I loved it! I've only taken Cassie's classes but she's awesome, the staff are so friendly, they have showers, lockers, water, juices and you definitely get a workout in :) it's pricey I have to admit but I've been to other studios and it's just not the same, you get what you pay for I hope they open up another studio around Huntington Beach, Westminster or fountain valley because it's far from where I live but it's totally worth the drive read more

Upbeat music, amazing instructors, always a fun workout!

Love the spin classes at Grit especially with my favorite instructor Andrew! He has such an amazing positive energy which is exactly what's needed at 5:45 am. I highly recommend his classes! read more

Great class and the instructors are super motivating. Awesome sweaty workout!

Grit cycle is truly an amazing workout and an amazing experience! -Great Music -Refreshing post-spin Eucalyptus towels -Incredible instructors -Truly amazing atmosphere Also, you get free shoe rentals if you need spin shoes which is awesome because it really makes your workout so much better. Every instructor I have tried has been amazing and I can't wait to try the classes taught by other instructors! There is also a portion of the workout that incorporates weights so it truly is a full body work out, all while having fun riding to the beat of the music! If you're new to working out or apprehensive to try it out, the instructors will be there to guide you and the room gets dark so you can really focus on yourself and your workout :) read more

I started going to GRIT about a year ago. It all began with a promo code for one free class. As soon as they shut the doors, the lights went out, and the music came, on I was hooked. This place has such an amazing vibe ALL THE TIME!!! The staff and instructors are always wonderful. I'm obsessed with Cassie's classes but also like Kaitlynn's. You just can't go wrong here!! Amazing energy, fantastic music, online system for bike and class reservations, and a beautiful location. Get over here and try GRIT already!! You won't be disappointed. read more

BEWARE NOT GOOD Customer Service. I went to GritCycle for the first time but I am no stranger to indoor cycling classes. I have been to a few Cycling studios all over OC, but this place needs to be put on blast for the horrid service that I experienced. So I walked in mid morning and it was weekend, I was excited for the ride and to sweat like crazy. However my entire experienced was ruined, I say RUINED by the front desk receptionist with the dark red hair. I mean the attitude from her alone was off putting not to mention that as a new customer to feel as though you are not welcomed at a studio is kinda hurtful. I asked a few questions like, do i need to sign in, where can i put my stuff, and where is the cycle room. She basically didn't even look up to say anything to me, she just pointed me to the room and that was it. So after some exploring and help from a fellow customers i found the answers the questions. A few minutes passed and the class started, it was a solid class and the instructor was good. I definitely was sweating by the end of the class. I was just so put off by the interaction with the front desk receptionist with dark red hair that it has made me give this bad review of 1 Star! I just hope that they improve their costumer service because that is a must for this studio. If you go just be aware of the customer service factor. read more

My name is Amy and I am a Grit-a-holic! I have never loved working out the way I have since I have been going to Grit! It is truly the best 45 minute FULL body workout. I love the music, the lights, the energy....Not only are ALL of the instructors amazing, I get to work out with my friends and I have made tons of new friends along the way. The bikes are amazing. I love the front desk staff and do not forget the ice cold Eucalyptus towels at the end of class. It's not just your average gym workout it is a body, mind and spirit workout! What are you waiting for????? read more

Certainly the finest, most elegant Spin Studio on OC. Yes, I used the word elegant! It's civil, yet INSANE! My favorite is Matt. By far the best instructor in the OC. its VERY HOT. VERY LOUD. His class has a nice drug addiction feel to it. He motivates you and when you are done, you look like a kitten that just had a bath. Soaked! Each instructor at GRIT have their own style and routine. SPIN instructors are like Personal Cardio Trainers, so you have to select your leader, by style and level. Marisa is delightful, she always has a good playlist and incredible weight routine. Candice is a hoot, entertaining, drop dead gorgeous and master instructor. Danielle is adorable and upbeat. Taryn is also upbeat, challenging and great music. These are my top picks. Matt's class is an experience, soon to be featured on CNN or something, it's that good. Beautiful studio with all the bells and whistles. Beautiful deck. Sometimes champagne on the weekends. Everyone is very nice, all fitness levels. read more

I never leave here disappointed. I frequent Nicci and Kris' noon classes since I work nights and they kick my ass in to shape every time! Best workout and amazing mental therapy as well. read more

I love Grit Cycle. I have just gotten back into spin after having a couple babies over the last few years and it feels so good!!! The instructors are always amazing, and it is the most invigorating, motivating, feel good workout!! Grit is worlds above the rest! read more

Always amazing energy!! I can walk in there feeling stressed or just down and walk out like I can take on the world - sweat and all. And you have no idea that 45 minutes flew by! The staff is great and the studio is so nice. Love this place! read more

Let's be honest, working out kinda sucks. A lot. I personally and typically despise the whole process (boring routines, sweating, heavy breathing - ick). BUT Grit Cycle makes working out SO FRIGGIN fun! A big group of us went and I had THE best time. I've taken spin classes before and they were just blahhhhh. Grit Cycle's classes literally make you feel like your in some VIP club. They incorporate the beat of the music with your workout, have multi-color lights, cold towels, special shoes to strap on to the machine, and the instructor has a headset to motivate you through the whole class. Such a cute place too! Sign up on their website to get discounted classes too: http://www.gritcycle.com/reserve/index.cfm?action=Account.login read more

The absolute BEST studio in OC! I live for Kelli's Monday/Wednesday 6:45 classes, but all the instructors are incredible. The music is always amazing and you truly feel like you can accomplish anything when class is over. When can I move in? read more

Love Grit Cycle! It's a intense workout and the inspirational instructors and killer jams keep things exciting!

One of the most heart pumping, fun, stress relieving workouts ive encountered. Im certified in hot yoga, i run, cycle outdoors, surf, snowboard, do bar...i love Grit, my new favorite activity!! Music and finding the rhythm and beat to it on the bike is such a fun challenge! I have my favorite bike and my favorite instructor too! Her name is Helena and she teaches every tues and thurs at 6:45 pm. She is amazing! She gorgeous and inspiring and leads the class through the most fun amazing workout ever.GRIT has a nightclub vibe but you are working out, so you feel healthy and strong. Great energy with the entire class, everyone encourages one another.... Love love love it! I tell everyone i know to come try a class with me, so much sweaty, healthy fun! read more

I'm definitely a fan of Grit. Manfriend said it was a great substitute for SoulCycle and he was right. The format is the same. Upbeat EDM and hip hop (which I love) and great intensity. The room is smaller so bikes are a little closer together. Mike was an AWESOME teacher for my first ride. He was super into it and motivating. What I LOVE LOVE LOVE about Grit is the cold eucalyptus towel at the end...HELLO. This made my life. After sweating my hiney off I was able to cool down and feel refreshed. Love the community vibe at Grit and the location and layout of the place. Wish the locker area wasn't so cramped but other than that, no complaints. Definitely coming back for more and bringing friends!! See you on a bike! read more

Obsessed with the studio. It's so pretty and clean! Good vibes all over. And they give out cold eucalyptus towels after the ride. What more could you ask for. So far Nikki is my fav! read more

I just came in this past week for my first time ever doing a class. The girl who worked at the front came over and made sure I was adjusted into the bike correctly and told me not to be too intimated and just to ride to the beat of the music which is exactly what I did and had so much fun, I cannot wait to return! read more

GritCycle is a great studio to get a great workout in. You have so much fun while breaking a sweat and they do a combo of spin work and light weight work to get a double workout. Definitely recommend this studio for any spin lovers or first timers. read more

GRIT IS IT!! They are hands down the best spin in OC. Gorgeous facility, amazing bikes and instructors who do so much more than make you sweat. You cannot go wrong with any instructor as they are all the best of the best. Congrats to Candice, Matt and all the instructors! read more

I like cycling a lot , and can see why a lot of people like grit . The only reason I'm not coming back is the parking is hard and not to sound too prudish , but there was ALOT of cursing from the instructor . Super nice and a good workout but to me it was really distracting , I've never been in a class where the F word was screamed so much , that doesn't make me feel good. Otherwise it was a pleasant experience . read more

Grit Cycle isn't just an exercise class -- it's an EXPERIENCE! I can really only speak to Matt Bourne's classes. I've said it before and I'll say it again; Matt is a Rock-Star and an inspiration! He has an uncanny knack of motivating me and 39 others all at the same time. You are completely in the ZONE - the music is always great. The timing and moves on the bike are challenging. His classes are rarely the same sequence, which makes the class that much more of challenge. I leave there soaking wet from head-to-toe and completely energized. I have yet to have a bad class at Grit when Matt is teaching. I'd recommend you give Grit a spin - you won't be disappointed! read more

GritCycle - The #bluezone! Take the challenge and give Matt a spin. - Cycling Classes Near Me - Costa Mesa, California

What I like most about grit is its cycle-boutiquey ambiance. There is a fresh, determined and contagious atmosphere at Grit that I love. I've done a lot of cycling classes in the OC/LA area and have appreciated all of them in their own styles and approaches to business BUT, Grits studio is the best so far ! I've never left not loving my class, the instructors are freaken amazing and guaranteed to kick your ass . I used to just think cycling was for legs, it's not, it's an interactive, engaging, choreographed hour! Would highly recommend it to others but don't want to fight you on the wait list, to be honest. read more

Loved my first class today! Everyone was so welcoming and kind! The music, energy and vibe was amazing! I can't wait to go back

Grit has been such a fun workout! I'm still getting the hang of spin, but regardless of my skill level everyone is super friendly and just pumped to see me there! read more

Group fitness has been a part of my life for the past 10 years. Without it, I honestly am not the best version of me. Trust me, I tested it out the last few weeks and the loss of community and shared energy from being in a class full of people sharing an hour together was mind blowing. To fix this epic case of the blues, I went to Grit and have been incorporating it into my life 2x a week to keep my heart rate and spirit up. I feel renewed and appreciate the balance it offers my life. Spin isn't the only fitness I practice, but profoundly impacts my state of mind and being like yoga. I recommend sharing in this communal space and sharing it with loved ones near and far. I'm so grateful to have Grit near enough that I can walk to the studio then pick up a cup of coffee on the way home. read more

It is honestly the best work out ever! Cardio is slowly becoming my best friend! Thank you so much Grit for changing my life

I love going to GritCycle and feel great every time I leave! The atmosphere and staff are the best to be around. I tend to go on my lunch breaks so I take Nicci's class which I have absolutely LOVED! Her playlist is always upbeat and great to ride to and not only that but her energy is one of the things that keep me coming back too! read more

I've only been to Grit twice with two different teachers, but I've also been to many other cycling studios and Grit beats them all. It's the best workout, the best atmosphere, and what other studio has complimentary shoes?! Don't even get me started on the cold eucalyptus towels at the end of class! It's definitely for people who prefer upbeat, high-energy workouts, but aren't all cycling studios like that? I recommend it to anyone who wants to sweat while listening to loud music in a dark room. I absolutely love how they keep the lights dimmed for most of the class. It really helps me focus on myself and not compare myself to anyone else. read more

I really like this place - I got for the 5:45am classes with Matt, who is awesome! great studio - great sound and lighting. Pretty hot though - although they have fans going you don't really feel them. if you are new, get there early so you can sort out the shoe thing. I've done classes before but I don't have shoes...they will let you borrow some is they have them but you'll want to get it settled before the class starts. The only thing is that the the towels smell funny - the dry ones that are sitting on the bikes when you enter. But if that's all I can complain about, that's not bad! read more

I recently bought some classes at GritCycle, and can be more pumped! I've been taking the Tuesday 7 AM class with Kaitlyn and it literally gets my day started on the right foot. Are used to be an avid spinner, but life got too busy and I'm super glad to be back. Great does an amazing job of keeping their studios clean, their bikes in good shape, and overall an amazing atmosphere. I highly recommend GritCycle Costa Mesa! read more

The best place ever to get my sweat on! I love all of the instructors and everyone is so friendly. The best part is the eucalyptus towels at the end and their outdoor patio to hang out on before and after class. Let's get Gritty!! read more

To anyone going to grit cycle. Please have consideration for the people who live on cabrillo street. I understand you want to get your sweat on but not at the cost of cutting me off to steal my spot in front of my house. Parking your SUV Leaving space in front and behind your car when you can clearly pull forward and allow another car in is rude. I have made complaints to the desk with no action taken. Please all I ask is to be mindful of the parking spaces you are taking. read more

After trying out MANY cycle studios, grit has been my favorite. I will now only go here! The staff is always friendly and willing to help you set up or answer any questions.
