    Outdoor dining!!!

I rarely write anything five star! This food is above and beyond tasteful. The juiciest, moist, tender, smoky flavored meat. Their homemade barbecue sauces are some of the best... there is a spicy one and a mild. The service is so friendly and efficient.. we quickly said we were first timers and Brittany quickly let us know the whole scoop about the place I even told her I like everything on the menu could you just please order for me and she did. She ordered me the loaded meat potato. It has their homemade queso, and of course the smoked meat on it just wonderful. My husband had ribs pulled pork the best cowboy beans we've ever eaten and macaroni and cheese. In my opinion the best we've ever had.. the macaroni and cheese has little small pieces of jalapeño. It's not too hot. It just gives best flavor. The ambience is eclectic, casual, friendly and comfortable. Shaded outdoor area and a small indoor seated area as well. There is a drive-through and it seemed to be pretty busy. They served our dog a doggy plate and water. Of course they ask if we didn't mind... Hannah loved the little meat plate and water! We will be driving from Atoka here hopefully pretty regular I am bringing back friends.!

My experience was a 5 star for many reasons and for what it is that I don't get from other…read morerestaurants. First off the food was fresh and definitely homemade. It's definitely not the 5 star Drover Hotel Steak House at the Stockyards or anything like that however they had a better square meal than you could get for $40-50.00 anywhere else. The meatloaf was so good and the sides. Amazing to get strawberry shortcake at a buffet as a desert. I went there to eat 4 times out of 3 days. Great old school low prices as well. The waitresses have an excellent feel of the customers like no other. Very old fashion Southern food place if you're up to it. You know you're in the right place when you see a lot of retired people eating there. Ambience is basic and old fashion. An experience on its own and not to compare to a new school restaurant and building just straight old school and old fashion Texas. A lost Gem that's hard to find these days.

Ate there last night ordered 2 small steaks. They were gray when they hit the grill. My friend…read moresaid it is probably the lighting. They were delivered to our table. I cut and smelled my steak it smelled rancid. My friend cut a piece of hers and ate it. She spit it our in a napkin and said it tasted worse that it smelled. The cook had to know the meat was rancid. Someone could get deathly sick. This restaurant has so much potential. So sad they don't take pride in their food. Our waitress was lovely.
