Great venue and crowd. Owners are very nice and personable. The only reason I'm going to have a difficult time returning or recommending others go there... is because of the dissatisfaction and disappointment I experience after reading a post for Friday night trivia. The post says it started at 7 and kitchen closed at 7:30. I called ahead to confirm if a ticket was required and that kitchen would be open until the time posted. Got there at 7:05 and the kitchen was shut down. Really inconvenient since I planned on having food. Had two drinks each then left to get food elsewhere. read more

The pecan roll is absolutely divine! If you have a sweet tooth, this roll is for you. Country music plays to add to the ambiance of the Grindstone Cowboy! I am not a fan of country music (gasp)... but it is so fitting for this classic eatery. Definitely worth the trip here! read more

The Grand opening on Saturday was great! The atmosphere is fabulous. The "Clint Eastwood Latte" over ice was wonderful, and not too sweet, and the white chocolate, raspberry scone was scrumptious. Went here for the first time and was unimpressed, mostly by staff. Acted as though I needed them more than they needed me. Some time had passed and some people I knew told me they liked their sandwiches. I decided to give them a second shot. Unfortunately, same thing happened the second time around, except this time it was the owner that helped me. Every restaurant or store has been so welcoming and friendly in Tennessee. I live right down the street from this cute little coffee shop and decided to finally pop in for lunch the other day. The people were friendly and the food was AMAZING! I had the turkey panini with some tomato bisque soup and it was so good. It was nice to just sit and enjoy good food in good company. They have a really nice outside dining area as well. My wife found this restaurant online so we decided to give it a try for lunch. Smaller dining area with lots of western decorations on walls. You place your order at the register and they bring food to your table. I had the Rueben sandwich and small side salad, wife had one of their large salads. All of our food was excellent. Clean and neat restrooms. Limited parking on street. Nice place, glad we found it, will return when in the area. read more

This is the cutest little place. 9 of us came in for lunch on Good Friday. It was pretty packed. I've been here before and it was good. We ALL got our food within 10-15 minutes of ordering. Delicious coffee and sandwich stop we found while making regular trips between Franklin and Winchester. Decor is lively and the baked goods are incredible. Staff was very friendly. There is some type of discount for paying with cash or surcharge for using a credit card, but it's not made entirely clear. Have been there twice both times got the Rueben the last time it was so big I could hardly get my mouth open far enough to take a bite it has so much meat on it, delish. Love the place and the ambiance but it closes at 4 so we go early get the big sandwich call it dinner and get something sweet for later. So far it has been 2 great experiences going to try the turkey sandwich next I'll be back. read more

Okay, so my wife and I went there for breakfast this morning. I originally ordered the biscuits and gravy and my wife got a breakfast wrap. She enjoyed the breakfast wrap. The biscuits and gravy is a ripoff, it was a complete fail. This is for several reasons, one for two biscuits you get approximately a tablespoon of sausage in the gravy, two it was delivered barely lukewarm. I can't think of too many people that are fond of eating cold sausage gravy. So, not being filled I went up to the cash register and ordered another breakfast. This time I ordered a breakfast sandwich, bacon egg and cheese on a bagel. I told the cashier the biscuits and gravy was so very inadequate, and I would never order it nor suggest it. She had the common audacity to laugh at me, and asked me if I was serious. When I said yes, she laughed again. Really? When my breakfast sandwich arrived, I'm guessing it was delivered probably by a manager, if not she had an air about her as though she was. She asked "if I could take the plate," the one that had the biscuits and gravy on it, and I said yes. She asked how they were, I said they were poorly prepared and gave her the reasons mentioned above, and she had the unmitigated gall to actually laugh at me?!?! Is this really good customer service, is this really good food, no. Again the breakfast sandwich, was barely lukewarm, the cheese was literally cold as though it was just slapped on there. The coffee drinks are good, food isn't worth wasting money on. Had to give it a star to give a fair and afequate review. Makes people wonder why there are so few reviews for a new place. Even though most are months old. Owner needs to be more involved or have a good restaurant manager in place. Seems like he is relying on his name and stardom to keep the place open. Tourists, go to a different town for food! read more

We have been waiting for them to open! We made it there this weekend for breakfast. I had a sausage breakfast sandwich and house coffee and my wife had a bacon breakfast sandwich and Clint Eastwood. The sandwiches came on nicely toasted sourdough bread which smelled great and had a great flavor. The sausage was moist, very tender, had a great flavor and just a little spice, very nice. The bacon was cooked perfect, thick cut, and again a great flavor. Not only did they taste great they were served hot. Overall among the best breakfast sandwiches we have had. They serve Frothy Monkey coffee. Coffee was hot and tasted great as well. The Clint Eastwood is hot or iced with Dark Chocolate, caramel, and toffee. I tried it, nice flavor. You could taste the coffee and the other flavors were there but not overpowering. Inside the decor was amazing as well, seating at a bar, some outdoor front porch style seating, all very comfortable with some great old country music playing. Overall great experience! Took a few bakery items home to try and we are looking forward to it! We will be back for sure! read more
