The cat we really liked was already going home with someone else. It was kind of hard to not be at least a little sad that this very affectionate kitty wasn't coming home with us, but that's just how it goes I guess. I wish places like this would have some way to identify which pets were already spoken for. There wasn't really any way upfront to tell other than finding a worker and asking.
