As I was entering the building where my child receives speech therapy, a mother with two young neurodivergent children and another older neurodivergent child walked in just ahead of us. A man from the Linnane Homes office came out and started loudly scolding them for not closing the door behind them. Instead of calmly addressing the situation, he escalated his tone and behavior, went around to "demonstrate" how to close the door, and then shut it directly in my face as I was trying to enter. The exchange was loud and uncomfortable enough that someone from another office came out to check on what was happening. Regardless of the door issue, the lack of empathy, professionalism, and basic courtesy -- especially toward families clearly juggling significant needs -- was deeply disappointing to witness. As someone who values kindness and respectful communication in business interactions, this behavior did not reflect well on the individual or the standards I would hope for from someone working with clients and families. Future clients should be aware that professionalism isn't just about the end product -- it's also about how people are treated in everyday moments.

We relied on that information in good faith and proceeded accordingly, only to later be denied the opportunity altogether.
