I was fairly impressed that the owner of the company took his time over the July 4th holiday to communicate back and forth with me directly over pricing. During the build we did have a few issues. Most of these were related to sub contractors working on the home. Nick and Logan were a tremendous help making sure we were satisfied with the quality and all parts of the home until we were. I will stress that they never failed to bring any issue we asked for to the point we were satisfied. You can't say that about many builders. Make sure you are aware of all the upgrades and features they offer. I had a few things added they did not, and they were willing to design and offer for us. My wife and I had a great experience and highly recommend!

The reason of my review is because Greybrook showed discrimation towards my husband and I. When we met with Sherri we went over the plans of the dream home that we wanted, in our meeting we mentioned to Sherri that we would be using our bank (navy federal ) because of our relationship with them. We have our current home mortgage with them now plus car and my husband was military so we knew the transition would be easy. She mentioned that we get deals if we go with they're bank but she never said we had to use it until later on down the line in email. After a few emails with Sherri I told her that I have my pre approval letter from navy federal she said that we still had to use her bank okay that's weird but fine. so we call her bank and of course they want more documentation but that's fine durning the process of me waiting to hear back from the builders bank Sherri is communicating with the realtor that I was using asking questions about did we claim both my husband and I on our navy application, at this point we was wondering why is she asking me questions when the bank hasn't even called me back yet asking questions. At this point I'm feeling uneasy about the process with them and wondering if they put anyone else threw this. The builders bank called and said they just needed one more paper and that she doesn't understand why the builder just won't let me use navy since I already have a pre approval which we were wondering the same. A few hours later Sherri emails and asks for our pre approval from navy I immediately sent it to her. The next day I'm waiting to hear a response from Sherri to see what's going on. While I'm waiting navy emails me and says that the builder called her asking if I actually put in a application she told me that she told him that a full application was submitted, income was checked and that it did go threw underwriting and j have the emails to prove that it did because we was communicating with our loan processor waiting on the underwriter. Now I just brought a home from navy in 2020 brand new 500k so they already have our income, tax documents, statements etc not only that my business account is with them! She told the builder that there process is difference once we go threw contract then they will ask for any more documents if they need it. The builder ask my loan processer if when we go under contract if they can have the application completed within 14 days now this was alarming for me. The relationship is already starting off rocky here we are about to spend over 850k on a home about to drop 90k for a down payment out of our own money and he thinks that we obviously don't have the money, would write up a fake pre approval letter etc. we have now made up our minds that we are now dealing with them. I then emailed Sherri the next day and asked her what did the builder decide she responds saying that I did not get a pre approval and that I just got pre qualified! At this point we know that they are being picky and choosy about who they choose to deal with. I emailed her back saying that we went threw the process to get pre approved my letter says pre approved not only that I know the process because this isn't my first time buying a home. Sherry responds back and say that I don't know the difference between pre approval and pre qualification she then says that pre qualified means when they just check credit and pre approved and when you provide income. Why would I drop 90k on a home and not go threw the proper steps to get a pre approval letter from my bank. Why would I waste my time allowing there bank to run my credit if I couldn't afford it. When we was in the community we ran into a lady who was white and she brought a home from them I Remember her telling me about her not so good experience also. I asked her if Sherri had made her go threw this she said no all she did was submit her preapproval and drop a offer same thing that I did . This company is sickening and racist ! Its

They completely remodeled my walkout basement and added ceiling height and windows. They added a complete 400 sf sunroom and deck to the back of my house that has been the best thing we ever did and a great investment. Jim, the owner, and project manager were very easy to work with and their carpenters were excellent. This was a complex project and they handled it well. B&E was referred to me by a neighbor and a good friend and I know their experience was the same. I absolutely recommend them for renovation work and look forward to my next project with them. I would completely ignore the review from 2016 that is posted on this site.

He then subcontracted the work to a guy who left trash everywhere, left huge splotches of plaster on our furniture (that they did not cover) and paint everywhere. The punch list of things to fix was NOT EVER completed even though they came back on several occasions to correct these mistakes. The last part was the custom door that we ordered through Jim, waited almost three months to get it and then Jim tells us that we did not pay for install. When we asked for an invoice because this was an unknown charge he said that he didn't have one and cancelled the job with the subcontractor. So now we have a door sitting outside of our house with no one to install it. Jim told us several times he was going to fix the mistakes, but after three days of the guys he hired "fixing" the light switches were still painted, there were spots of paint on the hardwoods, the drywall around the attic is incomplete.
