DO NOT DO BUISNESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! They have charged me for services that were never done: cleaning of the house, washing carpet after my tenants moved out. Failed to fix basic things to be presentable to potential tenants like changing the light bulbs, removing the rubbish from the property even though I paid for it to be done. Next, they have neglected to rent my house for 5 months after my first tenants moved out. The company claimed that the market is slow, people are not interested in renting my house. As the time went by, they lowered the rental price three time to "attract" potential tenants. The truth is their real estate agent didn't respond to potential renters' calls, texts. People who were interested to rent the house found my phone number and texted me directly, stating that they are interested to rent my house, but the listing agent does not respond to any of their requests. After this event, I fired Preferred Home Management company and rented the house myself within one week from placing an add. I leave in a different state than the house for rent is located and trusted that all of the above service were done as promised. Upon entering the house after 5 months on the market I could not believe that i paid for services that were never done. They committed fraud!!! read more

I would highly recommend avoiding this company. We had a rental and went 3 weeks in 90 degree weather with no a/c. Not to mention there was a roach problem we were unaware of and had to handle ourselves while in the unit. They also think we should have to pay $1300 on top of rent for listing the home early even though they didn't find someone to move in early. Every maintenance request I had to follow up on and I didn't even get an email or text response when I inquired about listing our rental so we weren't even sure they had done it. My husband and I attempted to inquire about renting a residence under the management of Preferred Homes Mgmt. For over 2 weeks they did not return phone calls or messages. Sheena finally got back to us and whined about the fact that she was out of the country and couldn't respond. No acknowledgment they we had reached out multiple times for weeks looking to see the property. They literally have no back up help, no out of office indications, calls and messages through their website and Zillow went unanswered. When we finally were able to see the unit and Sheena got back in touch (now back in town), they processed our application quickly once money was involved. They then proceeded to pressure us to give them a deposit ($2000) money to secure the unit without confirming damages in the residence would be fixed. Sheena continued to dispute that we saw a leak in ceiling and could not confirm they would fix it. This company gladly takes your money but will not clean or repair a unit to your satisfaction. They don't even paint the walls! It's not their practice! Disgusting! They would rather be pissed off at a potential tenant, manipulate and pressure them for items and concerns completely within the standards of renting a property. Sheena was unprofessional and swore on the phone with me while reviewing the terms of renting the unit and understanding we saw the unit without representation, (because PH doesn't have the staff or proper etiquette to communicate they have no help to show a unit). It is not MY job or MY responsibility to read YOUR mind that you are out of town or your company has no way to keep up with rental inquiries. Do NOT use PH Mgmt and Sheena to rent a property! Steer clear of this company! They are unorganized, unprofessional and manipulative. They would rather be right, argue with you and have your money, than work with you or have a mutual relationship, recognizing the potential renter/ tenant is competent, valid, and trustworthy. They are more concerned about taking your deposit money than working through a MUTUAL punch list of the unit to ensure it is in a move in state acceptable to the new tenant. All PH Mgmt cares about is being right and money, all why expressing their unprofessionalism and swearing on a phone call! I rented a property through Preferred Home Management for 3 years and could not have asked for a better experience with leasing. Lynne and Hunter go above and beyond to accommodate their tenants. All of my calls or emails had a quick response and any issue I ran into was promptly addressed.
