He was unable to do it and did not appear familiar with the temperament systems I was referring to, so no tuning was performed. I literally sent him home with an article on temperament tuning to read. I also asked him to investigate a buzz. He removed the action, found nothing, and was unable to diagnose the problem. He then tried to charge me $200 for simply removing and reinstalling the action. We eventually settled on $120 for the 45 minutes he spent at my house. So, to summarize: no tuning, no diagnosis, and a $200 attempted charge for pulling an action. For someone with a serious instrument or specific musical requirements, I would look elsewhere.

Before I came in, I was mainly interested in the Roland digital piano HP704, so I called ahead to ask if they had it. I was honestly surprised when they said yes, because I worried they might just be saying that to get me to come in. But they really did have it. Not only did they have that model, but they also had several other Roland options, from more affordable models to higher-end ones. I even got to try a more expensive model that I had not known about before, and the sound and touch were much better than the one I was originally planning to get. I'm really glad I had the chance to try different models, because otherwise I might not have made the best choice. Sunny helped me with the sale, and she was very patient while I spent a long time trying out the pianos. Since I plan to play a digital piano at home with headphones, I took extra time testing the different models. I used the headphones they provided and played on my own for quite a while, and I really appreciated that she gave me the space to explore without making me feel rushed.
