Excellent customer service and very reasonable prices. The showroom was also very nicely done. I believe these are some of the reasons why Kim's Piano has such high praises and reviews. I initially called in to ask some questions, and Kristie was able to assist right away. Then she was also super responsive on text messages as well! Great job Kristie! Then when I was deciding between two different models, both Kristie and Ben solved that as well! Ben is very knowledgeable and does a great job in relating his experiences to the products. I ultimately went with the Kawai K-15 because it made sense for my budget and experience. And they helped me understand the pros and cons of choices as well. Overall, I definitely recommend Kim's Piano to anyone who is serious about getting a piano for their home. read more

I bought an amazing almost new Yamaha MF1 SIGHT UNSEEN and couldn't be happier! I had been texting with Steve for almost a year on and off. I have a busy work schedule and could not find the time to see pianos in person. He was so patient with me throughout and never pressured me. I have limited space and needed the most compact upright I could find. He worked with my budget and exactly a year later, I found the perfect piano for this stage of my life. The piano arrived in great condition. The movers were communicative and respectful. Everything went as promised and I am so glad I trusted Kim's Piano and Steve to help me. I cannot wait to teach my daughter how to play. This piano will be a cherished family instrument for years to come. read more

I saw an advertisement for Kawai pianos on my social media feed and was curious about what pianos they had. I was looking for a used upright piano that would fit in my apartment. I'm a music teacher and at home I have been playing an 88-key digital piano at home for a few years. Piano is my first instrument and never bought a piano because I play off of a Steinway Grand Piano and a Roland nx700 stage piano. Well, after several years of not enjoying practicing at home, I now can thanks to Steve Rivera's recommendations! I knew what I wanted, he worked with finding me the piano I've wanted...a white upright (Kawai or Yamaha). I went with the Kawai K15 because it's new and I couldn't refuse a brand new piano! Anyhow after multiple emails, I was able to purchase one without walking into the store. Steve sent me videos of different models playing the same short piano piece and it was very helpful! Well, fast forward to today and a week later I am sitting here in my living room practicing! Thank you so much Steve and Kim's Piano!!! read more

I came across this piano store while researching options for my son and was immediately drawn in by its strong reputation--open since 1987, with hundreds of positive reviews and a solid 4.7 star rating in Google and Yelp. Once I visited, I saw firsthand why it's so highly regarded. The store is spotless and well-organized, making it easy to browse their huge selection. Every piano--new and used--is in excellent condition, clearly well-maintained and ready to play. The store has an impressive selection of pianos, from digital models to acoustic and baby grands. I was shopping for a piano for my 7- and 9-year-old sons, and Steve Rivera helped us find the perfect digital piano. He's clearly passionate about his work--he played a few songs for us, explained the differences between models, and even introduced us to the acoustic and baby grand options. If we had the space, we'd have taken one home! The entire staff is lively, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic. Their energy made the experience fun and welcoming, and you can tell they love what they do. Steve even offered to help with the warranty and teach my son one of his new album songs--such a thoughtful touch. Prices here are unbeatable, especially for California, and I'd trust this store over any other retailer. Their after-sale service is excellent--they're responsive, patient, and happy to answer questions. Highly recommend this store to anyone shopping for a piano. You'll find great instruments, fair prices, and a team that truly cares. read more

Amazing service and exceptional support throughout the entire piano buying process! I met Steve my first day shopping around and can say without a doubt is one of the most enthusiastic and charming individuals you will ever meet. It honestly didn't feel like he was selling me anything and was just a friend really trying to guide me to make the best choice possible. Never felt the need to push me to buy anything and only gave me time and info on the models of pianos, and share his experiences and music. Really wanted to take my time and make the best decision and he was there to support 100% through with no pressure; I came in looking for a smaller hybrid initially but ended up getting a grand and don't regret it for a second. Buying process was quick and easy and he gave me a great deal. Wouldn't have done it any other way. Thank you again! read more

I recently visited Kim's Piano with my husband to help my sister find replacement parts for her old piano that has not been played in many years. We were warmly greeted by Steve Rivera, who was approachable, humorous, and a pleasure to chat with. Since we did not know much about pianos, Steve kindly guided us through the showroom, giving us a glimpse of both upright and grand pianos, and even impressed us with his piano skills. When he introduced us to the W. Hoffmann V126 upright piano, it felt like love at first sight, and although we had not planned on buying one, I impulsively purchased it. Steve was considerate and worked with us to stay within our budget, making the entire transaction and delivery process smooth and stress-free. Once the piano arrived, my daughters were so ecstatic and cheerful to have a real instrument to practice on, and it has brought so much joy into our home. We are truly grateful to meet Steve, whose knowledge along with passion for the piano are notable, and we highly recommend him and Kim's Piano to anyone looking to rent or purchase a piano. The customer service is excellent as well as all the staff members are polite, kind, and respectful toward their clients. read more

I would do it again! I bought a piano from Steve at Kim's Piano and I am very happy with the entire experience! Steve is a great salesman. I don't mean "salesman" in a negative way at all. He listened to my every word, showed me some options in my price range and after a while of me agonizing over which one I should get, he showed me the best one. He really nailed it! Not only was it exceedingly beautiful with its mahogany finish, but it also sounded great too! On top of all that, it's by a very reputable brand, Young Kim. I'm a beginner so I didn't have a big budget for a piano suitable for a pro, but I came out of Kim's very satisfied and eager to practice. Zero buyer's remorse! This thing blows away my keyboard! It sounds so good that it even makes me sound like a better player. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the delivery experience. The delivery boys arrived 5 mins early and were very professional. They very quickly moved Fredi (I named my piano after Frédéric Chopin. She loves Chopin.) into position. They took my directions very well and in no time, they were gone. Easy, peasy. Do yourself a favor and go see Steve. He's an excellent salesman, but an even better person. He'll treat you right and find you the piano you want. read more

Kim's piano made my piano purchase such a wonderful experience. Their showroom is beautiful with such a vast selection of gorgeous pianos. Now...the real star of the show, Steve. Mr. Rivera was beyond helpful. He let me try all the pianos, played them for me and shared all his expert knowledge about the different companies. Not only did he encourage me to take my time, he helped me find "my" piano. I never felt pressured or rushed. I ended up purchasing the W. Hoffmann v126 from C. Bechstein. I'm so in love. I can't even begin to describe how amazing the sound and quality are. If you are in the market for a piano, go to Kim's and meet with Steve. You won't be sorry! Happy practicing! read more

If you're in the market for a piano, then look no further, Kim's Piano is your place. Now I could "Liszt" a litany of reasons why this establishment is remarkable, such as inventory, however the staff is by and large the delineating factor. Each member possesses extensive knowledge of the instruments and their approachable candor enhances the shopping experience. From my first point of contact with Yuka, at the Industry store, to the Stanton store with Steve where I purchased my piano. Right away when I stepped foot in the store, Steve Rivera welcomed me as a friend, not just a patron. Intuitively, I realized his motivation was my satisfaction and meeting my needs, not just selling. As he provided a tour of the store and the respective items I was interested in, Steve also demonstrated the capabilities of the pianos for me. Which is important to me, since I'm still an infant in knowledge and ability. Even down to the financing, Steve alleviated any concerns and ensured me they would make it happen for me. Furthermore, the atmosphere encouraged exploration, and discovery which was a stark contrast to the plethora of other stores I visited. Other storefronts had a knack for hovering nearby, not allowing me to get acquainted with a piano. Which made the experience feel pushy and inauthentic. Whereas, Steve and even Mr. Kim himself would periodically check on me, be patient, and courteously answer any questions I had. For the owner to be involved in my purchasing process speaks volumes. To me, that displays a sense of concern and generosity. Now, I am proud to say I'm the owner of a gorgeously crafted Kawai CA 901 digital piano. After the diligent delivery and meticulous setup in my home, I can't keep my fingers off it. Even months after my purchase, I'm equally as elated as I was then. When you have the right environment, and staff, your purchase will be rewarding rather than burdensome. Again, I can't thank you enough for your exuberance, knowledge, and witticisms throughout our interaction Steve. It is for these distinguishable qualities that I will be "Bach". In the future, whether I reside in California or not, as I said, Kim's Piano is my one-stop-shop. Thank you for making this formative decision a smooth process. read more

I purchased a new C. Bechstein A190 last week. I am not a professional musician but I am a picky buyer; sensitive about piano touch, action, sound, and dynamics, so I stopped by most of well known piano stores to find a piano that fits my expectations (Steinway Pasadena, Fields piano, Hollywood Piano Santa Ana & Burbank, Orange Village, Kim's piano Tustin, Stanton and City of Industry, etc) in southern California. All the sales reps at each store were excellent, but I ended up my shopping at Kim's Piano thanks to Benjamin's professionalism and great customer care. I asked Ben so many questions about the pianos that I was interested in; Steinway, Estonia, Grotrian, Bechstein and Shigeru Kawai. He answered what I was concerned about and helped me to select the right piano for me. At the end, he gave me a great discount with unexpected many extra after sales services. Now, I got two pianos in my living room, both purchased from Kim's Piano - C. Becstein A190 and Kawai CA95. I got my Kawai CA95 digital piano six years ago, David Kim helped me at that time. I've enjoyed my Kawai CA95 and I think that Kawai digital piano is still the best digital piano in the market. I am so happy with my purchase, I appreciate Kim's Piano team's excellent customer care. read more

They offered a good deal and we are happy we purchased it instead of used one. COVID has changed a lot of things for us. One of which is looking for new things for our 5 and 7 year old daughters to learn. Since dance and gymnastics are both closed down, we opted for a piano to hold us over. We heard about Kim's from a family member who bought said great things about them. So we decided to give them a try. Seems like a family owned operation, very one was friendly and nice. I brought my 5-year-old daughter with me and she was so excited, she tried out all the pianos.
