Me and my husband were looking for a baby grand piano for my daughters and I came to Kim's Pianos. There, we met Steve and he was very professional and friendly. Since me and my husband didn't know how to play piano, Steve was able to play a few songs from different pianos. He was very knowledgeable and explained to us the differences between all the pianos. We were able to choose a high quality piano that was in our budget. We are very happy with our purchase and the services. I recently bought a Yamaha U1 from Kim's piano. They are an official Kawai Dealer but also have other brands used available. I was impressed by the quality of their used pianos. Very glad I found this place. Also the owner seemed very nice and helped us with a great deal on this piano. I still haven't received the piano. I will update this review once I get it and tuned. So far, a 10/10 experience with them. Recommended. Also, fyi, they are open during Covid 19, just put on a mask and go for it. They constantly clean pianos and have sanitizers around the store. read more

Highly recommend visiting Kim's Pianos. We sent a request for info online and got an email and phone call from Steve, who asked us about our budget and playing ability and any preferences. Because of Covid, we called in advance before going (they take appointments but are flexible, so we could just call thirty minutes ahead of time to let them know we were on our way from Torrance and that worked). When we arrived, Steve had already told Mr Kim and Tomas, who were both at the store, which pianos he thought we'd be most interested in. He was spot on--my husband immediately felt a connection with his top recommendation. We looked at a baby grand and the upright we eventually went with, and as Steve pointed out, sometimes a higher end upright plays better than a lower end baby grand (which is what our budget was constraining us to). We took a couple hours to decide actually, and they were patient with us which I appreciated! And we ultimately went with the upright Steve recommended. But only after my husband jammed with Tomas, it was pretty epic! Both Steve and Tomas are professionals, so we also connected with them as musicians. It made us feel they really know what they're talking about. We're so glad we got to meet Steve, Tomas, and Mr Kim, and for their assistance in picking out a piano that fit our ability and budget. Delivery was affordable and includes a tuning in a few weeks after the piano settles. We're so excited to have our new piano, thank you!! read more

Kim's Piano - Our new piano after delivery to our home. - Piano Services Near Me - Stanton, California

I was searching hard for a used brown Yamaha U1 and was having tons of trouble finding one for a fair price in town. I finally checked out Kim's Piano and it was an absolute godsend! I was helped out by Steve, who took photos of all the options at Kim's and texted them over to me so I could review them before I headed over. Once there, Steve showed me those pianos as well as others that were similar so I could get a good comparison. Absolutely stellar experience, I bought the Yamaha, had it quickly delivered to my home and could not be happier. Steve is the MAN, Kim's Piano's is GREAT -- go to Kim's Piano's to get yours! read more

I purchased my second piano from Kim's piano and had a wonderful experience again. Benjamin Kim, president, allowed me to play all of the pianos I wanted to try, even just out of curiosity (largest concert grand piano in the world) "imperial concert grand" to my own white kawai gl10 baby grand that I ended up loving. I really took a long time on all pianos having both fun and looking for "the one." Benjamin was so kind and patient to share everything about the pianos with my family as well. He's an amazing pianist as well. I love Kim's Piano store, and so does my family. We're soo happy with everything. Support your local family business @Kim's Piano. read more

Kim's Piano has a huge selection of pianos and an absolutely gorgeous showroom. My wife and I were picking out a piano for our home and Benjamin was super helpful, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Great piano player too! Ultimately Benjamin offered us a great deal on the piano we were eyeing. He also offered to help take care of arranging parts and labor requests if we ever need service down the line, which is a plus! Definitely recommend Kim's Piano! Thanks Benjamin! read more

I walked in on a late afternoon and was met by Steve. I recently moved so I was looking into an electric keyboard. He took me around the store and showed me all his electric pianos and hybrids. Once I had decided on the one and got all the paper work done. We couldn't resist continuing to talk music and try out as many of the grand pianos as we could. they have everything from great entry level keyboards, to concert grands, and even some truly one of a kind pianos. Wonderful man and he took care of me and my family in the best way possible. Thank you Steve! read more

After several years of learning the piano, I wanted to upgrade from my digital piano to an acoustic piano. Finding the right piano was stressful because pianos are so expensive. I visited Kim's Piano four times, and learned a lot from the various sales people on every visit. I also visited another piano store in Orange County, but I felt Kim's Piano did a much better job maintaining and presenting their pianos in their showroom. I also looked on OfferUp for cheaper deals, but at the end of the day, I decided that with a complex and super-hard-to-move machine like pianos, it would be worth to pay a small premium to Kim's to get more complete service (moving, tuning, warranty, advice) than to go with random individual sellers. I ended up getting a preowned Yamaha U1 through Steve Rivera. He listened carefully to what was important and unimportant in my piano search, and helped me narrow down my options. When I needed information, he was happy to step in and educate me about piano parts. When I needed time to just sit and play the pianos to test them out, he left me alone to make up my mind. Steve made sure the piano arrived in great shape. A few weeks after delivery, Peter Kim came to my house for the complimentary piano tuning and did a great job too. read more

I purchased a piano here about two years ago for my daughter. The sale, delivery, and initial tuning we're hassle free. It's my on-going interaction with the technician, Peter, that was awful. I made an appointment with him to tune the piano and he never showed. When I called him an hour later to inquire, he told me he got caught up with some friends watching the baseball game and he was not going to come. I was less than pleased and decided to take my business elsewhere. Fast forward to a year later and I decided to give him a second chance. An hour before my appointment he texted and said he would not be able to make the appointment due to a personal issue. After I called the store to complain, he called me back and said now he could make it, but it would be an hour later. Miraculously his personal emergency was fixed, but he is now stuck in traffic. Then, I was reminded tonight is the game 5 tie breaker Dodger v. Giants. Strike 2 Peter! Enjoy the game. Going elsewhere!! Does nice work. Just don't schedule work on game day or you're out! read more

Fantastic experience with Kim's Piano. My daughter is a beginner and we needed to rent a piano. I know nothing about them and thought there was no way I could afford to rent one, let alone buy. Thank goodness I found Kim's. We are renting a very reasonably priced upright Wurlitzer piano with the option to buy. Perfect for my little student...who may end of being a concert pianist, or will possibly switch to karate next month. :) Special shout out goes to Steve Rivera! I had the best conversation ever, regarding what my daughter needed in a teacher. He listened to my daughter's needs and got us in touch with a wonderful and talented girl who could teach my girl piano AND singing. Let's face it. She is being forced a little into the piano a bit, but she'll go for the singing! If you are new to this world and have questions, I recommend you ask for him. read more

Kim's Piano - Perfect piano for our house with very little space. She loves it! - Piano Services Near Me - Stanton, California

Best selection of a wide variety of brands and models in their Stanton store of any piano store. They have everything I wanted to play except for new Steinways, Yamahas, Faxiolis, and Bosendorfers. For those - there are specialized dealers. However they did have a couple of really nice used Yahamas and Steinways worth considering. I suggest talking with Benjamin Kim - one of the owners. Or they employee other great staff. Numerous times I was able to come down and play different pianos as I was looking to select one. I chose a Kawai. Great buying and delivery service. Highly recommended. read more

One would think that the piano buying process is always an enjoyable one. However, when faced with all the options, budget restrictions, and a big life decision to be made, it can quickly become stressful. I've been to every dealer in Los Angeles, and flew to Phoenix to see even more. None compared to Kim's, the patience and service they provide here is impeccable. Everything from the showroom to the customer service here is top-notch. Do yourself a favor and go see Benjamin Kim, he will make the piano buying process a dream. read more

Superb customer service. Great collection of pianos with reasonable price. One of the few certified Kawai dealership in SoCa, Kim's piano has three different branches with great collection of finest used and best brand pianos. We have been thinking to upgrade our piano for my musically gifted son for over a year and per his teacher recommendation( who is one of the renowned concert pianist) we introduced to Benjamin ( the store owner). We are very picky buyer and my son is very picky musician. He felt in love with the second piano that Benjamin showed it us. He spent time in the store and tried many instruments. Benjamin is very knowledgeable, professional and after hearing your play perfectly knows which instrument is right for your skill and budget. After looking all other stores in the area and LA county, we ended up buying it. Thank you Kim's piano. read more

We were looking for a new Bechstein upright piano. Not only did Benjamin give us a great deal on a magnificent piano, he is also by far the most attentive, responsive, patient, and accommodating. My music school has closed due to Covid. As a pianist, I had been missing the feel of a proper, expensive piano. So I decided to go and check out Kim's Piano to simply peek at what they had, perhaps play a few chords. I soon find out how welcoming the managers of the shop were. To my surprise they offered practice on a 45,000 dollar piano paid by the hour. They even had hand sanitizer on hand despite the shop having very little traffic during this time. For fellow music students who are in need of practice, I highly recommend Kim's piano. And for those looking for a piano to bring into their home, their collection is immaculate. read more

It was such a blessing that day when my husband and I went to Kim's piano to see and learn what kind of piano would best fit our children. Me and my husband never learned how to play piano at all. We did some research online but still undecided since there is so many piano to choose from. After few minutes of looking around the store, lost in a way, since all piano seems to sounds the same and sure all very expensive. Mr. Benjamin Kim came to us, patiently showed us the piano and play music pieces on us, elaborated the difference of each one. Size, sound and brand wise. Then slowly my husband and I was lost no more. We were so glad to have talked to Benjamin and later realize that he was the manager of the store. He help us so much and finally we were able decide what is the right piano for us. 2 weeks later, our kawai baby grand piano was delivered and assembled at home. 2 weeks after they came and tuned it. Now my 2 pianist are enjoying themselves. We felt happy and satisfied with the piano and the great deal that Mr. Benjamin Kim gave us. Wonderful costumer service. I was in need of a piano for my foundation (The HSTL Foundation for the Piano, Inc.) to provide the Manila Symphony Orchestra because the availability of decent pianos for public performance in the Philippnes is pretty dismal to put it mildly. After having searched and searched for a few years in New York, California and the internet, I dropped by Kim's Piano whom I'd become familiar with because of James Shawcross' youtube postings. And boy, was that a lucky thing. Not only were Benjamin and his staff so welcoming and accommodating but in their showroom I was shown two pianos that I couldn't leave without considering. And considering I did. Before I even stepped out to think about other options Kim's had in my mind sold a beautiful, resonant Steinway Model D that I knew the Manila Symphony would love and a Model B for myself and for artists to rehearse on. Within two months , Kim's piano had both air freighted and delivered safe and sound to Manila without a hitch, just in time to celebrate the MSO's 97th anniversary. Yes, they waited 97 years to receive their first concert grand. I think - no, I know - we now have Manila's piano problem licked! Thank you, Kim's Piano! read more

My father and I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Kim to look at a piano which my father was planning to purchase. Mr. Kim's selection of pianos, both grands and uprights, was the most impressive that I have ever seen. I appreciate his honesty in discussing the attributes as well as the needs of this piano. We just moved to Las Vegas and, were looking to buy a grand piano for our son and daughter to make them feel at home when they come to visit. Our first stop was Kim's Piano on Beach blvd Stanton. Benjamin greeted us and we told him what we are looking for, Benjamin showed us all the competitive pianos of the same caliber, he patiently explained and played the different pianos for us so that we can hear and understand the difference in the sounds and how it was made and the origin of each of them. Benjamin answered all our questions with sincerity and professionalism, we decided we didn't have to go to another place, so we purchased the grand piano C. Bechstein C234. Benjamin sent his best movers to deliver the piano to our house in Las Vegas, we have a lot of steps, but the crew was phenomenal, they manage to put our piano right on the spot. The bottom line is the price was good, the service was superb, I would recommend Kim's piano to all my family and friends. read more

I began my search for a new piano at several popular piano stores in Orange County. After narrowing my search down to a couple of brands, I decided to go have a look at the Kawai line of grand piano's and I found Kim's Piano on their website as a authorized dealer. I called late evening on a Wednesday and talked to Mr. Kim's relative. I explained that I was piano shopping and would like to make an appointment to come in and take a look at the showroom. He promised to have Mr. Kim call me back right away. Five minutes later, Mr. Kim called me directly. I explained to him what I had been up to and asked if I could meet with him the following day. On Thursday morning I drove up to the Stanton showroom and met with Mr. Kim. He was very friendly and took the time to understand what I was looking for, what I had looked at so far and what price range I was shopping. He then took me on a tour of his showroom and showed me at least 8 different piano manufacturers including Kawai, Estonia, Mason & Hamlin, Steinway, Baldwin and Petrof. After we were done with the tour and demonstration, he asked me what I thought and which piano I thought sounded the best to me. I immediately said that I thoroughly enjoyed how the Mason & Hamlin AA grand sounded but already knew (or thought I did) that it was well out of my price range. He smiled at me and said something like, "Well, what if I told you that we could probably work something out so that it was in my price range" and I told him that I didn't believe him, knowing what the MSRP price was on a new M&H Model AA. After some further discussion with Mr. Kim, I realized that he was seriously going to sell me a brand new, Mason & Hamlin Model AA piano with a PianoDisc Prodigy player and deliver it for FAR less than I could have ever imagined. I literally thought he was kidding me. We sat down and did all the paperwork and shook hands. I am anticipating the delivery of my new piano next week and cannot believe that I was able to get a brand new M&H piano at such a good price from Mr. Kim. I can tell you that Kim's Piano is the "real deal" and you would be foolish to buy a new or used piano anywhere else without first meeting with Mr. Kim. Thank you. read more
