This place is not handicap friendly or accessible. The handicap parking spaces are for over 5 different businesses. The curb cuts are also far apart with bumpy sidewalks and parking lot. Inside the venue, you are welcomed with loud music that you have to yell over. You cannot access the karaoke room without using a large staircase. Getting to the restroom is a challenge with unleveled floors and the accessible restroom stall is the farthest back and has super narrow hallway making it nearly impossible to do a 360! I personally only come here for events and don't come here for my own personal reasons.

When I arrived to check in, I was told they did not have any of that type of rook available. When I asked what they could do, I was hoping they would realize their mistake and perhaps give us a second room to accommodate our party. They did not. I was offered free breakfast which is not commensurate with what we needed. After speaking to the evening staff I was assured the manager would call me the next morning. I did not receive a call, and called and left a message with no call back. We had to make alternative arrangements last minute with some of our party, but this was way out of line. I would have exptected at least to be refunded the difference in the room rate as well, but no such luck. No apology, no rectification, and no follow up. Stay here if you want to have to scramble last minute and be charged for a room you never get. I guess this is why credit cards have dispute options.

In the hall I could hear everything - a man on a phone call talking angrily, a group of women talking animatedly, a family with young children but upon entering my room silence. The breakfast spread was very nice. The food selection in their Placery was larger than most Hyatt Places - I really enjoyed the pizza. They also offer a lot of cocktails and baked desserts from cookies to giant cinnamon rolls. The staff were delightful. Everyone was so nice! Every time I passed the front desk I was greeted. Every time I ate at the Placery I was welcomed genuinely. It was a great stay and likely will be my go-to location when visiting St Louis.

When the barista called up my order, I repeated my order asking if it's mine (they don't use a name system) and apparently *I* mispronounced MONSTERA because she turned her back and said within earshot to her coworker how I did not pronounce it correctly and why do people say it incorrectly. I am not a big plant person so excuse me for not knowing how every single plant name is pronounced. I know people vent at work, but it made me feel uncomfortable the rest of my visit, so I was glad it was almost time to leave before they closed. Vent after customers leave if you have to....
