Others included David in sales who demystified the process, Varon who coordinated with the utility to ensure we met all requirements, and Gino, who collaborated with Maxwell Power (formerly HDM Renewable Finance), the clean-energy company that helped finance our residential system. On site, the design and install team did a great job keeping things simple. The entire system, including battery and thirteen panels, was installed according to Ramiros's expert design within just four hours. Good quality hardware was used to tie to the roof, which was inspected by our roofer and given a big thumbs up for not causing problems. But even before that, David our site survey tech, gave us the sense that all would proceed well, as he collected necessary data by drone, and made a favorable first impression with his personable approach. Toward the end of the multi-month process, which included time to get a new roof installed, we passed city inspection with YES tech, Dario, an extremely courteous young man, present to ensure we made it through that last step and PTO (permission to operate). YES has an excellent and well-deserved reputation because of these people and others who worked on our behalf. The company can do better automating some of the process, and to be fair, they say they are working on transitioning to a CRM software solution for this purpose. But, I can say that over a period of several months, I had excellent communication with many helpful people. Skyler in customer service was my primary contact and that made all the difference. I had a frustrating experience with Your Energy Solutions regarding a warranty transfer. We were later charged $500 with no prior breakdown or explanation of the fee. I clearly communicated that I would be the one paying this charge. Despite that, the service department reached out directly to the buyer and asked who would be paying. This unnecessary contact created confusion and complications during the escrow process that could have easily been avoided. The lack of transparency on the warranty transfer fee and the poor internal communication caused more stress than necessary. Businesses handling real estate-related services should be more careful with both contract clarity and how they communicate with parties involved in a transaction.

Because of the good experience I had with having Clean Solar install panels at my house I reached out to them to see if they would service panels installed by another, and thankfully they accepted the job. After some back and forth with their customer support, they remotely assessed that the inverter failed and they would install a new one for a reasonable price. Clean Solar employee Jose arrived early for the install and he was very polite and relatable. He replaced the inverter and did not leave until he made sure that the system was back up and running and production was being reported in the app. I recommend Clean Solar to anyone needing their panels serviced or to install a new system. Jose is an excellent employee and my mom had a great experience working with him.

Aggressive Sales Tactics and Disregard for Property Boundaries…read more Our experience with D3 Solar's door-to-door sales representatives has been extremely unpleasant. Despite having a clearly posted No Trespassing sign on our property, their sales representatives have repeatedly approached our home unsolicited. Their sales tactics have been excessively aggressive, pushy, and, at times, downright rude. What concerns me most is their unwillingness to respect a homeowner's boundaries. Even after making it clear that we are not interested and wish to end the conversation, their representatives continue pressing rather than respectfully accepting our answer. A company's professionalism should be evident in how its representatives treat people, especially those who have no interest in purchasing its services. Unfortunately, our experiences have demonstrated a troubling lack of respect for personal property, boundaries, and basic courtesy. I would strongly encourage homeowners to exercise caution when dealing with this company's sales representatives.

They did a fantastic job! The team recommended replacing siding only when necessary and cleaned up after themselves every single day. The level of craftsmanship and quality was top-notch. We also had them install three sun tubes (circular skylights), and they did an excellent job with those as well--making sure the interior sheetrock looked clean and professional. As with any project, the outcome depends on the supervisor and foreman leading the crew. The team we got was fantastic, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for roofing work.

One of the worst local companies I've ever dealt with. Avoid at all costs. Bait and switch, left us…read morehanging with a leak for months, charged us for a visit even though after they disappeared for months and refused to provide the information that we contracted them for. Greg the owner is a particularly horrible person to deal with. He's a giant bully and I'm very upset that my neighbors caved to his threatening us by paying them for nothing. Seriously the worst. Can't believe they are even still in business. RE Greg's reply, saying he never dealt with me is an outright lie. I had both text and phone conversations with multiple people at Occidental including Greg, and we have emails to show that we specifically requested parts information and were told the way to get that was to complete an inspection. Everything in my review and this follow up is documented in writing. The tech who did the inspection told us in person as well that he'd provide that information within a few days, but we never heard from him and our follow ups to him went unanswered. Greg then specifically told me to follow up with him, not Noah, but claimed they don't provide that kind of part information, which they would have needed to tell us when we requested it instead of saying to get an inspection to do so. At each stage, nobody at Occidental seemed to even know what the issue with our system was! Noah had not been told anything prior to the inspection, and when we tried to follow up neither Ava in the office nor Greg seemed to have gotten any information from Noah's inspection. The repair estimate Greg refers to was not for the correct issue we had, and would have done work that Noah told us at the inspection was not needed. We repaired our system using a different company who of course is licensed! Why would you use a company that can't even communicate between their own staff? That Greg then billed us for the inspection anyway is beyond unreasonable.

I had an existing enphase solar system and he more than doubled the solar capacity and added 2 PW3 all for a fraction of what others quoted. The solar panels were installed with poor placement due to shade and had to be moved (requiring many extra holes in my roof). The electrical work done as if there is no battery to be added. The solar rack mounts were misaligned and wrong hardware used for tilting. I had to have a lot of their work fixed by another company. The issues with their work were obvious even to me and professionals were quite amazed to see this.
