One of the Yelp responses came back with a very high quote and couldn't schedule us until 4 PM, which meant PG&E wouldn't be able to reconnect our power until the next day. I was concerned about being overcharged due to the urgency of the situation. Then JP from Sutro Power responded. He arrived that morning, provided a quote that was half the price of the other company, and still very reasonable. JP was transparent and communicative throughout the entire process. His team--Tommy, Rick, Vlad, and Austin--did an excellent job. They were friendly, professional, and made sure to clean up afterward. I highly recommend Sutro Power for their reliability, fair pricing, and outstanding service.

Because of the good experience I had with having Clean Solar install panels at my house I reached out to them to see if they would service panels installed by another, and thankfully they accepted the job. After some back and forth with their customer support, they remotely assessed that the inverter failed and they would install a new one for a reasonable price. Clean Solar employee Jose arrived early for the install and he was very polite and relatable. He replaced the inverter and did not leave until he made sure that the system was back up and running and production was being reported in the app. I recommend Clean Solar to anyone needing their panels serviced or to install a new system. Jose is an excellent employee and my mom had a great experience working with him.

The impeccable experience started with Art the consultant, he gave 4 scenarios and explained in detail what each means and provided detail report including all the tech details and break even timing. To be honest, it was too much for me, I really just wanted pricing and how long it takes to install haha but was good to know he has such knowledge and I was confident he is looking out for my best interest. Then we had Patrick the PM, arrived for site inspection on time and courteous and explained the whole process. Then come the impressive installation team Luis, Alberto and Kevin. The 3 arrived on time and with smiles, just overall a great vibe from them. Luis walked me through the installation plan and gave a few choices taking into consideration aesthetics of the house and then got to work. 4 hours later, clean line, fine craftsmanship and symmetrical matching placement from last system is in place and ready to tangle with PG&E (attaching some photos) I really really can't recommend any higher to go with Clean Solar on your solar projects. Now it's time to take legal action. Having my roof repaired by another company that is doing an excellent job for half the price. Mr Roofing Inc's warranty isn't worth the paper it's printed on!!! They refuse to honor any agreements in contract. I'm WILL take these guys to court. I do not recommend them. Don't waste your money! One of the worst local companies I've ever dealt with. Avoid at all costs. Bait and switch, left us…read morehanging with a leak for months, charged us for a visit even though after they disappeared for months and refused to provide the information that we contracted them for. Greg the owner is a particularly horrible person to deal with. He's a giant bully and I'm very upset that my neighbors caved to his threatening us by paying them for nothing. Seriously the worst. Can't believe they are even still in business. RE Greg's reply, saying he never dealt with me is an outright lie. I had both text and phone conversations with multiple people at Occidental including Greg, and we have emails to show that we specifically requested parts information and were told the way to get that was to complete an inspection. Everything in my review and this follow up is documented in writing. The tech who did the inspection told us in person as well that he'd provide that information within a few days, but we never heard from him and our follow ups to him went unanswered. Greg then specifically told me to follow up with him, not Noah, but claimed they don't provide that kind of part information, which they would have needed to tell us when we requested it instead of saying to get an inspection to do so. At each stage, nobody at Occidental seemed to even know what the issue with our system was! Noah had not been told anything prior to the inspection, and when we tried to follow up neither Ava in the office nor Greg seemed to have gotten any information from Noah's inspection. The repair estimate Greg refers to was not for the correct issue we had, and would have done work that Noah told us at the inspection was not needed. We repaired our system using a different company who of course is licensed! Why would you use a company that can't even communicate between their own staff? That Greg then billed us for the inspection anyway is beyond unreasonable.

They are a lean team. No huge marketing or operational overhead. His quotes have been some of the best out there and for the quality and service he provides I don't think there is another solar contractor that is better than Aleksei. He is more than happy to accommodate your request but I highly recommend asking his thoughts. I had an existing enphase solar system and he more than doubled the solar capacity and added 2 PW3 all for a fraction of what others quoted. I cannot imagine anyone not happy with Aleksei's professionalism, expertise, and service.

Unlike other installers we contacted, they actually took the time to visit our home in person and work with the challenges of our hybrid flat and slanted roof. They were also flexible with our summer travel schedule, finding the right time to complete the installation without disrupting our plans. Throughout the process, they were punctual, hardworking, and handled all of the necessary approvals for San Francisco, which gave us real peace of mind. Steve and the team were outstanding--patient, responsive, and clear in their explanations of the system. They installed 22 panels with microinverters, plus a Franklin battery and Enphase monitoring, and everything has been working smoothly since day one. The best proof came just a week later, when a full-day neighborhood power outage didn't affect us at all--we had seamless backup power the entire time. Later that evening, PG&E confirmed that our furnace had failed and was releasing carbon monoxide into our home. The next morning, I began calling HVAC contractors. None of the nine companies I contacted could help for at least a week. Fortunately, a friend from my daughter's school referred me to Jose. He answered on the second ring, immediately understood the issue, and told me his Vice President would be at my house within the hour. Just 30 minutes later, Rudy arrived and quickly confirmed the diagnosis with his equipment. Jose immediately recognized the urgency of the situation. Not only were we without heat in freezing temperatures, but our family was also at risk of further carbon monoxide exposure. By 5:00 p.m. that same day, Air Flow Pros had sourced and delivered a new furnace, assembled a six-person crew, and begun removing the old unit. By 8:00 p.m., the new furnace was professionally installed, the work area was spotless, and our home was once again warm and safe. The service was truly outstanding. Air Flow Pros delivered a high-quality product at a fair price and completed the entire job within eight hours of my initial call. I couldn't be happier and would recommend them without hesitation.

I got quotes from 4 and found out quickly how much of a pain it is to look for a contractor (one tried to upcharge me and I was pretty distrustful over roofing companies after that). Fabian came super quick for a quote; offered a pretty fair price that included the scope of work; got the job done quickly; and was responsive before, during, and after the process. They finished fixing the roof in about 2 days actually (one day for the roof, one for the gutters) just in time for the nonstop rain this time around. He added vents so that the roof would circulate air a little better, fixed up the shingles, and added gutters so that we addressed all the possible ways the roof could've caused the leak. I will say in between the process since I'm super particular he answered any questions on building requirements needed, difference between materials, and general concerns. For example, the intake vents that initially were replaced looked wonky, or had stickers left over and he got his guys to replace it correctly and clean it/fix it. I noticed one of the gutters wasn't draining during the light rain and he had a guy check it out the same day-- fixed it the next. So the job close to perfect, but of course checking the work helps. So far no leaks (it's only been day 3 of the crazy rain this week) and the new gutters are draining great. They've been in business for years now and are local; if you're looking to deal with a pretty honest roofing company with no hassle, I'd reach out to them for a quote in a heartbeat.

You can see from the photos below that Gregory did a beautiful professional job on my project, working with the architect/designer who had suggested the built-ins, and responding to my particular requests. Fitting new cabinetry into an old wooden building required a lot of customization during installation, and Gregory was definitely up to the task - as mentioned by other reviewers he is easy to work with, creative, flexible, with an "incredible eye." He did all the installation and finishing himself (with a helper). To be fair, it took Gregory longer than he had estimated to make and install the cabinetry, but it was definitely worth the wait and he was very responsive and obliging throughout the process. The quality and value were top notch; the cost was about 50-60% that of the estimates I received from online cabinetry firms I contacted. Definitely a 5 star experience - thank you Gregory!

We hired Alan to replace our leaking windows and siding on the front and roof of a multi-story…read morecondo building. He is one of the most honest and quality-focused contractors I have ever worked with. During planning, I spoke to a number of other contractors who wanted to use retrofit windows and just leave the siding in place. Alan took the time to explain the proper way that the building wrap, siding and windows had to interface to get waterproofing, and how we were better off replacing all three if we wanted to be sure we'd fix our problem. Even with this extra scope, Alan's pricing was very fair. Thank god we went with Alan. When they removed the existing siding, they found severe water damage underneath the siding and a subpar earlier repair job. When this surprise came up, Alan talked us through the damage and gave us our options. They ended up ripping up two layers of existing siding, cutting out damaged building sheathing and replacing it with new plywood, before proceeding with the job. The overrun costs were very reasonable and we never felt like Alan was taking advantage of us. The end result was great quality at a fair price, and peace of mind that our issues have been resolved and we won't have to worry about the front / roof for a long time now. I would definitely hire Alan again and would recommend him to anyone looking for this kind of work.
