Top notch service but just ok food. We had a fabulous waitress who kept our glasses filled all night. The menu has a wide variety of options. I had the crab cakes which was quite delicious! Full of crab meat and little filler, definitely a better choice on the menu. The burgers were mediocre and the fries were just ok. The biggest disappointment was my daughter's smiley face fries which were hard, cold, and really kinda gross. If it wasn't so far away we would definitely frequent the restaurant more often for the quality of service and variety on the menu. read more

The worst dining experience I've had in a long time. The cream of crab soup was only lukewarm, ridiculously thick and had no flavor at all. There was about a tablespoon of crab on top (the only crab in the soup) and it was very cold, as if it was just thawed. The rest of our meal was equally lackluster. The service was also poor. We had to ask for trash, empty glasses and finished plates to be removed from our table- even after piling them close to the edge of the table. We also had to ask for refills multiple times. We've had mediocre experiences here before, but this visit will definitely be our last. Tonight was a total waste of $70. read more

Our meal at Greenmount Station was good, but not great. The restaurant seemed very clean, and while there was a large crowd in the bar area, the dining side wasn't noisy. The menu boasts many options that made it hard to pick just one! The service was, again, good but not great. The Cream of Crab soup was a bit thick, but had many chunks of crab. The Greenmount Oysters (like oysters Rockefeller) were very good, as was the filet. The Cajun Chicken Alfredo was not as good - the chicken was well seasoned and cooked nicely, but the Alfredo sauce was too thin, and the pasta hadn't been seasoned. Overall, we had a nice dinner. Food was awful. I ordered carry out my burger was very dry like it was cooked a few hours prior to ordering. The fries were old and soggy. I also ordered cream of crab soup and that was not good. It was cold, way to thick and didn't have any flavor. I couldn't even eat it. The restaurant is obviously poorly managed. The food use to be good but it's just gone down hill over the past few years. A first time visitor to the restaurant, but it won't be our last! The menu was extensive, it was hard to choose from all the yummy offerings. We tried the shrimp bbq and crab dip as an appetizer, both amazing! I had the red pepper soup special which was the best I had, truly! This is a little late, but better late than never. September 19th I took a friend here to show them how great endless ribs and shrimp "was". I hadn't been in a long time due to a sour experience last time, but I figured I'd try again since it had been almost 2 years. First off, we both ordered the special with a salad as one of our sides. They came out together, and thankfully his was green and delicious looking. Mine on the other hand was completely brown. Why is it ok to send out two identical salads when one looks as disgusting as this!? Why is brown lettuce even back there for use? I know you probably think I'm harsh but I used to work in a restaurant kitchen doing fryers, salads, and sandwiches and I never sent out something as disgusting looking as this! Yea I can complain, knock a few dollars off the bill, but this is now the THIRD time I've had this happen here where I get disgusting looking salad. That's just the salad. Now, the ribs and shrimp are good but not that great. If I want excellent ribs I've got other places I'd choose first, but the allure of all you can eat plus two sides, I don't expect the best. No complaints ever on shrimp, however, the ribs, it's like the sauce is on strike. They're always incredibly dry unless you specifically ask for an extra side of the sauce. Now I know with this special alone, this place rakes in all the townies of Hampstead so one bad review doesn't mean much to them, but with family in Hampstead, you best bet we pass Greenmount Station all the time to eat elsewhere. read more

Not many options for good food in Hampstead but this one is good. The chef is a pastry chef so desserts are incredible....expect to share. Love the grilled asparagus! Crab cakes were okay, not as good as the fish on the special. Half price wine by the bottle was a nice surprise. Service is always great. We went late, about 9:00 PM. The server recognized us from a visit about a month ago and let us know about the draft beer special. The wait staff always lets us know which will be the best deals, the special or a local coupon, which is a nice touch. Sports bar with great Maryland memorabilia. Nice wood decor. Since moving to the area, we like to try different restaurants. But a colleague told me that they went to this restaurant 10 years ago prior to the expansion and it is now not the same. The service was great, but the atmosphere was mediocre. My FF for my entree when delivered by the manager were and new ones were brought out they were the same fries only microwaved!! He never even came back to check to see if they were acceptable. The last thing I will say is that although we say enjoying our dinner, they were vacuuming right next to us that made us feel like we had to rush to finish our dinner as they were getting ready to close! Greenmount is just okay. The menu is far too large and should be shortened. There are far too many options and it should be shortened to focus on quality and not quantity. The biggest issues I have are with their wings and ribs. The sauce is terrible. It tastes so artificial and it likely is. I love wings and I would never go here for them. They should make their own sauce. Even just using the Frank's Buffalo wing sauce on their original wings would be far better than what they use. I just feel like wings are so easy yet they screw them up. The atmosphere is pretty good. The beer selection is fine for a place like this. Trivia nights are pretty fun. I think they've got is mostly down but the food is keeping this place from being ranked as a 3 or 4 star. read more
