To my absolute shock, two months later, Sky Ready Mix sent me a notice demanding that I pay for the materials because the contractor failed to pay them. They even threatened to place a Lien on my house! Here is why this company is highly unprofessional:1.Zero Verification: As a material supplier, they failed to verify the contractor's license or collect any valid credit information. They admitted they only had a name and a fake phone number for the guy. How can a professional business extend credit to someone with zero credentials?2.Lack of Documentation: No one in my household ever signed for the delivery. I didn't even know the name of this company until I received the threat. 3.Unfair Business Practices: They allow irresponsible contractors to use their materials and then force the homeowners to pay twice. It feels like a coordinated trap between them and shady contractors. It is incredibly frustrating to be victimized by their negligence. Do not trust them with your project. Their lack of internal management and "pay me or I'll lien your house" tactics are predatory and unacceptable.

From the start of the free estimate, there was no attempt at trying to upsell more things. I told him what we were looking for and he confirmed what we wanted, then gave us a detailed estimate that broke down everything (including materials) going into the work. The transparency and honesty was a welcome change from a lot of other landscaping companies. He scheduled the time for when construction was to start and his team came in and worked hard and fast. The concrete and drainage was finished in a week and a half - no waiting for days or weeks around to start work and get the job finished, unlike some other houses we saw in the neighborhood. Of note, DCM accepts cash, check, or credit card. And to add to all this, DCM gave a very competitive price. I can definitely highly recommend DCM Concrete! These guys know what they are doing, and they are familiar with the environment and challenges of the Antelope Valley. If I have any future concrete/backyard needs, they will definitely be my go-to!
