It had been a long time since I visited The Greenery. We actually just stopped by for dessert today. On this Saturday before Easter Sunday, it was mostly empty at about 2:30 pm, so no wait - always a plus. From the beginning the service was great - friendly and sincere. The ambiance is probably one of my favorite things. It feels like a hideout in the woods, with a commercial kitchen, so even better. We ordered coffee and dessert. The chocolate cake was yummy and the specialty coffee was perfect. No substitutions or add-ons were needed. The prices were also decent and fair. While we were there briefly I was impressed all over again. So much so that this may be my meeting spot when on the west side of town. I want to try more of their menu items. (I think I saw chile enogadas on the menu.)

First, I want to say that the salads and food items are good here. However they used to have a butternut squash salad here that was great and they got rid of it. We like to pick up food from here because finding good salads in El Paso is so rare. The wait time isn't always what they say. We always have to wait for pick up orders because they are never ready when we go in to pick them up. Also, it's very difficult to get anyone to answer the phone. Several people in our family tried to call and the phone just rang and rang, and nobody answered. We were persistent and finally someone picked up the phone.

The Greenery is a hidden gem that deserves more recognition. The French Onion soup here is one of the best I've had in El Paso. We also tried the fettuccine alfredo with green chile alfredo sauce and chicken, along with a burger. The food was pretty good overall.

Overall a good experience for Valentine's Day at the Greenery. The place was absolutely packed. Service was on the the slow side but this was to be expected. I had the meatloaf with green chili which well prepared. Comfort and winter food par excellence. Great company with Ricardo Baraza the owner of Wine Attitude. The ambiance was relaxed and festive for this romantic celebration. This is definitely a easy and great place for power lunches.

This restaurant comes up as one of the top restaurants for vegan friendly foods in El Paso, so naturally I had to check it out during my recent visit. First things first, they are located inside a mall with a very cozy ambiance. Second, they had a separate vegan menu - Whattt?!!!! I was impressed! They had a lot of options on the vegan menu made with impossible. I had the spicy Thai salad, and didn't want to have cold veggies so they were very gracious to sustitute greens with rice for me. It was decent, a bit too sweet for me. Lastly, and most importantly - they had a seasonal vegan dessert option that was delicious - a pumpkin muffin. I opted to go for the regular butter and whipped cream on the side. 4 stars because of the sweetness in the entree. Overall, recommend the place.

I decided to try the Greenery while wondering around the mostly vacant sunland park mall. I wish this place was in a better location. However, that's about the end of the negatives. The prime rib was one of the best I've tried. The mashed potatoes were amazing. The Latte was pretty dang good. All around it was a great dining experience.

This was slightly better than mall food. Maybe it's because they're in the middle of construction, but my salad was hardly fresh.

Pearl Divers Oyster Bar - Oysters

Pearl Divers Oyster Bar

Best oysters in El Paso! They taste so fresh, yes, they are small but the quality is great. Service…read moreis great and the restaurant is very clean and bright.

Had the chance to visit during their soft opening this past weekend with one of my friends who…read moreloves oysters just as much as me, and we both agreed that it is super refreshing to see an establishment like this come to town. Adjacent to the The Tiki Room, Pearl Divers features a rotating list of oysters from different regions at $3 a pop. We had the chance to try all three oysters that they were featuring for the day and we really enjoyed the palette. The oysters featured might've been limited but they had a major punch to them with flavor. My favorite were the ones that were a bit more briny, truly small but mighty. Your oysters are brought out with the traditional crackers, hot sauce, mignonette sauce, horseradish, and lemons. It was nice for them to all folks the chance to order in any quantity as I'm sure a few folks might be trying oysters for the very first time in a landlocked city. The had a finessed menu featuring carpaccio, tartare, and about ten to fifteen dishes encompassing appetizers to main entrees. We had ordered the carpaccio but it never came out (no biggie, again it was soft opening so we came in with an open mind). Since we got there a bit later in the day, they were out of frites and I am a loyal fan of oysters, frites, and bubbles (wine at the minimum). This just means we'll have to be back. What was most important to me though was the service and how friendly the staff was. We opted to sit at the bar (as one should at an Oyster bar) and be as close to the oyster display as possible. I used to live in New Orleans for a few years so sometimes when it's busier and you're chatting away they'll shuck an extra one to you every so often to try. I'm pretty stoked to see the dining scene continuously elevating and Pearl Divers is a nice rendition. I'll be certain to come back and can't wait to see what a five-star experience is out of their soft opening phase. *** If there is one piece of feedback I'd provide is to have smaller spoons for the mignonette and forks for the oysters. The current sizes are a bit too large and can easily ruin the integrity of the oyster when making sure it's been properly separated and not intact, as well as, not being able to have the right ratio of mignonette sauce for each oyster. The spoon was constantly hitting the mouth of the condiment cup.
