I heard about Greenery & Co. from their amazing publicist, and I've been following their social media avidly for a week, anticipating their soft open. Yesterday I ordered the Tennessee Thai salad for pickup. It was ready faster than quoted, the employee who greeted me at the door was super friendly, and oh my, the FLAVOR. I'm a known salad lover, and I go nuts for any restaurant with good selections (see also: Little Fib). Since that's half of what Greenery does--the other half being warm bowls--my expectations were high. And they were met! The dressing was very flavorful; I ordered my salad with a medium amount tossed in, and it was just the right amount. There was a little bit of spice to it, but what impressed me most was the amount of fresh basil. The portion was quite large, so I thought I might have some to save for later, but once I tasted the first bite I had to wolf the rest of it down. Greenery & Co. is the first new place I've tried since before the pandemic, and I'm so glad I did. I think I'll be a regular here for my lunchtime fix. read more

Okay, I'll admit I'm a HUGE fan of Chopt. This place is similar, but super elevated. The employees are super nice and the interior is super aesthetic. This is one of the cutest and most delicious places I've ever been to! The environment is super bright and airy, with a beautiful ambiance. There was quite a line once inside, but it moved quickly & was well worth the wait. There are plenty of options on the menu, but you can also create your own bowl. I really enjoy the salads from here! I have tried it twice and both times, the portions were good and the salad was really fresh. They have some interesting toppings (like beets) and I appreciate how they chop everything together. I'm taking off a star because it is a little expensive for a salad, but I usually get two meals out of it, so that helps. read more

I love that there's a good salad option in town now. The other places I've tried aren't as good. They have several menu items to choose from where which I appreciate, and you can also make your own combo. The ingredients are fresh and tasty. I love love that you are asked if you want light, medium, or heavy dressing. I've never been anywhere that asked me that question before. I felt like I had a little control over how healthy my meal was which wa nice. I tried their cookie fresh from the oven, but I didn't love it. Greenery Co. is my new favorite lunch spot near Vanderbilt! I've been several times since they've opened, and every time I go the ingredients are super fresh, the service is speedy, and the restaurant is clean and covid-safe. My favorite it topping is the burrata. This is one of the many unique ingredients at Greenery Co. that set them apart from other salad places in town. The carrot falafel is another personal favorite. For those who have mentioned having a hard time finding parking in Hillsboro Village: There is a new garage near the corner of Belcourt and 21st (next to Anzie Blue) that offers 1 hour of free parking. There's also a small free parking lot right behind Greenery Co. which you can access by going through the Belcourt parking lot. On a weekday around noon there were 5 spots available. You can also pull into this lot and get curbside pickup if you're planning on taking your salad to-go. read more

Woah, yummy ahead!! I was on the hunt for a fresh, healthy and filling lunch and I was not disappointed. This place is AMAZING! They seemed very diet friendly and accommodating. I asked what was popular and ordered based on the girl who helped me - the chicken pesto salad. She said it was the most popular item and wow, it was good! It was extremely flavorful and filling. The only reason I took away a star is because I got the Chimi Churrasco and I this time they added a load of Kale but we're very stingy with the vegetable portions. Built my own salad bowl and was not disappointed. The sweet potatoes, roasted broccoli, and pickled onions are excellent toppings. Had a great dinner salad here last week. I tried the Tennessee Thai but switched up the dressing. I put the jalapeño vinaigrette on it and it was fine but not what I expected. I assumed it would have a kick, at least a tiny bit of spice - nope. Also I got medium dressing and I'd never do that again, way too much, can't even imagine what heavy is! I loved the shrimp with the apples, it gave a crunch with a nice flavor. I'd like to come back and try more. I also wish they posted calories on their menu, it would be super helpful. read more

The shrimp on my Thai salad was huge and fresh, dressings taste homemade and always love fresh avocado. The french onion dip is awesome, too. I will come back even though parking stinks. It always seemed dark and crowded to me. Well, that's no longer the case. Fast forward about three years. This space feels expansive, crisp and modern white. They clearly had professional design help and they nailed it. I almost feel like doing yoga here. This is a fast casual, one-of-a-kind concept. Yes, ONE-OF-A-KIND. Nashville has been getting so many chain eateries lately, the fact that this is locally conceived and owned by former Vandy grads moves it up so many notches for me. But, I guess that's all well and good unless the food is amazing. The good news: IT IS! Fresh, Healthy, Fast, Delicious. The service is friendly and prompt. And the employees could actually answer my questions. *Appreciated.* I had the Shrimp Bowl and Tennessee Thai Salad. Colorful and flavorful in the "make ya wanna come back" way. Every healthy option you are looking for is available to make your own creation. But, they have done such an excellent job with their pre set house creations that you won't go wrong. The house made dressings are divine. I think it is also worth noting that they don't have a freezer. They are realistic about the health conscious... One of my favorite lunch spots in Nashville! This place actually turned me into a salad person! The salads here are amazing. My favorites are the Tennessee Thai, kale caesar, and chicken pesto (in no particular order). There is something funky going on with their hours, though. Sometimes, I don't know when they're going to be open. I would say this is mostly a lunch spot. However, I will say, one time I came in as they were closing up for the day, and one of the staff took pity on me and chased me down as I was heading out the door to give me a free cookie. Creative and delicious healthy bowls! It's super convenient that they deliver to Vanderbilt's medical center for free every weekday at both 11 am and 12 pm. Chipotle Shrimp Warm Bowl (medium dressing, chopped): 4/5 Since I ordered it chopped, this wasn't the most beautiful dish, but it sure was tasty! The wild rice served as a solid foundation for all the other components. I especially loved the additions of creamy avocado, sour green apple, and crispy tortilla strips, and the honey chipotle vinaigrette provided just the right amount of heat. Oftentimes with health food places, I feel that the portion sizes are on the smaller size, but I appreciated how full and satisfied I felt after finishing this. Triple Chocolate Chip Cookie: 3/5 I loved how this cookie was super gooey on the inside and stuffed full of bittersweet, milk, and dark chocolate chunks. However, I found it to be too salty overall, with the concentrated sprinkle of salt on top adding to the excessive saltiness. I also would recommend either microwaving or popping the cookie into the oven to warm and melt all the chocolate before eating. read more

Glad to find a great salad place in town! I had the Alotta Burrata salad which was very delicious and filled with all my favorite veggies - roasted beets, roasted broccoli, and arugula. I added grilled chicken (came with some spice/flavor) which made the salad really hearty. I would totally order it again this way with the extra protein. The portion is huge - more than enough for a filling meal. Price is a little high, but if I'm in need of a quick salad, I'll definitely come here. So many good things to say! To start - the staff is very friendly. Per usual, I couldn't decide what to order. One of the workers mentioned that their chicken pesto is their most popular bowl. It sounded amazing but I ended up ordering the Tennessee thai. It comes in a very large bowl and is pretty filling. The shrimp is very flavorful and the Thai cashew vinaigrette is AMAZING! Food is good and fresh. The recipes are good too. Prices are relative to quality. I made a mistake when she asked if I wanted everything in the salad that was listed on the menu and I said yes. Oops, when I realized it had an ingredient I didn't want and asked her to remove it she friggin gave me daggers! I hate to waste food and usually bite the bullet but that day I didn't. Regardless, I owned a small restaurant for eight years and as a business owner, shooting daggers at a guest for making a mistake is a no-no in my book. Greenery is a nice, healthy option in the village! I stopped in for lunch and waited in a long line to order during peak lunchtime. It probably took about 15 minutes to get to the counter. The space is large and clean with high ceilings so it is pretty noisy with the sound echoing from above. I decided to try a warm bowl, the Music City Med and the cauli soup. When you order you are able to customize the salad if you'd like, and they give you the option of light, regular, or heavy dressing. They also ask if you want it tossed or dressing on the side. The cauli soup was pretty good, but I probably wouldn't order it again. I know it was healthy but it lacked a bit of flavor. Maybe some salt and pepper would've helped. The salad was a lot of food and I really enjoyed the carrot-based falafel. It had a good flavor, but next time I'd probably order regular dressing instead of the light. It needed a little extra, but was a healthy option. I'll try a different option next time and will definitely be back when looking for a healthy meal. read more

I am in town just for a few days and by the second day was craving a healthy lunch . Found The Greenery on Yelp , so glad I did ! The cafe was impeccable, the service was warm, friendly and informative about their selections. I got the Butternut Curry Miso bowl and it exceeded my expectations, which are pretty high as I am one to stay away from processed foods and keep my diet clean . The owner was at the POS and my mom and I noticed right away that she thanked her employees for creating our lunch. That is not something you see ever ! As we sat down inside ( and I was dying to eat outdoors coming from Boston where that is not possible for a few more months ) , we were approached by a gentleman telling us that they had a back patio ! And kindly obliged by leading us to the perfect spot to enjoy our lunch outdoors. The bowls were enjoyed by all of us and we had to grab an extra chocolate chip cookie on the way out . If you're looking for a nice place to get a healthy meal (especially after Thanksgiving), go try out Greenery Co. in Hillsboro Village. I've had some good salads and grain bowls in my life but I think Greenery takes the cake here. I ended up getting the Southern Cobb salad, which has chicken, eggs, bacon, blue cheese, cherry tomatoes and marinated beets! It also came with a jalapeño dijon vinaigrette that was really good. You can also ask them to toss your salad in a light, medium, or heavy dose of the dressing, so if you like more or less dressing, they let you customize it. We also got an app of carrot pimento cheese, and as weird as it sounds, it was surprisingly really good and pairs very well with their house crackers that are similar to everything bagel seasoned chips. This place is very similar to Sweet Green: assembly line with either pre formulated combos or customizable bowls. I got the Harvest Bowl (seasonal) which was hearty and delicious. There is ample seating and the interior is very chic. Parking isn't great so I recommend pickup with a friend or delivery. I haven't been here before and maybe it's the recent inflation but omg the prices are steep here, especially for salad Their employees better be making a decent rate with these prices. Be prepared to drop close to 20$ on a salad with tip. read more
