We stumble into Lady Bird after a long thrift-morning, so we were ravenous - it hit the spot! Parking is a bit of a pain (located on the side of the busy road or behind the building); it's worth it though! There is a decent patio out front, as well as amble seating inside. It's a large space with lots of open windows, it's a very cute spot. I ordered the Cowboy Salad and it was deliciously fresh. There are 3 salsa options (roja, tomatillo, and patron), and while they are all good additions, I preferred the patron most! I've ordered in catering from here a few times now for work meetings. I cannot tell you how much my team raves about their food and wants it again and again! Haven't eaten in the restaurant itself so I can't speak to that, but the food is good. Taco bar with chicken and brisket is the current favorite, and the chipotle salsa disappears before I even put it out. Lots of different topping choices to add to the taco bar and their guacamole is one of the best I've had recently. The staff were friendly and the manager was going around cleaning tables and checking on customers. We went on Saturday a little after 10:00 a.m. and it was pretty busy, so the noise level was above average but not terrible. The outside of the building is so cute and vibrant with a few tables outside to sit. The #7 Lunch Taco, smoked brisket, potatoes, rajas, and queso and the #8 Lunch Taco, brisket, sliced avocado, and pico de gallo. Coming from SoCal, I wasn't sure what to expect with TexMex tacos, but I'm officially a fan! First off, I loved the flour tortillas. Soft, pliable, and just slightly chewy, which I secretly enjoy. The #7 taco was my fave of the two. The crunchy potatoes added a great texture and paired with the saltiness of the queso it was all divine. The #8 lunch taco was good, just more on the bland side. I could have used some extra salsa for this taco. The brisket in both tacos was super tender with almost zero fat and had great smoke flavor to them. The coffee was surprisingly delicious! I have visited several times at this point. I came here for a Yelp event and dining in on my own. There are a lot of pros and cons to Ladybird Taco, and I realize that as I say this now, not everyone will share my same opinion. Ladybird Taco is a place for people to dine in with friends, bring their kids for a bite, grab a quick lunch to-go when they're on the run, and also for people who want to work on their laptops when they don't want to be in a normal coffee shop. It is a multifaceted place. It is excellent that the space is so functional for all varying purposes. You wouldn't see me try and work on my laptop in a lot of different places, and though I have tried here, it was not a good idea for me. One of the good things about Ladybird that one can immediately recognize is that the food is delicious. I have never had any issues with the food. I have had problems with them screwing up my order on more than one occasion. It can be overwhelming when there is a line out the door, and you have a tiny space for people to stand around. Cutting through the crowd to let them know they screwed up your order also overwhelmed the cashier, trying to recover from the mishap. They are always nice to fix it, but it has happened more than I'd care to admit. Either way, customer service is always nice and attentive to the needs of their customers. The downside to Ladybird Taco has to be the crowds and wait time to get your order, even when it is a small order. Due to its popularity, it is always packed and packed to the gills. The last time I was here, a mom parked her stroller at one of the tables outside before she had even ordered to claim it. I understand claiming a seat so you have a place to occupy once you place your order, but I think it is irresponsible to leave your stroller unoccupied with your child asleep while you place an order just to save a spot. Ma'am, take your kid in with you and forfeit that you won't have a table outside. Do people feel really safe around here to just leave their kids unattended? I guess so. Aside from that one incident, kids are often here, and I wouldn't say I like visiting places packed with kids. I don't have kids, and I don't want to listen to your kids carry on, cry, and run amok because you think it is cute to let your kids have free range of the place. I understand if you would do it if we were at a McDonald's playground, but we aren't. Keep your kids from running amok in an already cramped place. This is especially applicable on the weekends. It is not cramped when it is not busy, but they are always full. I commend them for being active; this is a good thing for them and keeps them in business! I am all about a thriving business! Ladybird is never short of business. Now that I am done with my tangent, I am more inclined to order to-go for future orders than to mess with dine-in. It just isn't worth the stress and noise level for me to dine in. They offer tacos, coffee, and an array of options. I do love their food and customer service, just not the kid-filled clientele and the claustrophobia that comes with being in line. I guess crowds and post covid PTSD is real. read more

The tacos are definitely overpriced and small for the portion size. The salsa lacked spice and flavor. Their brisket taco was definitely the best item I tried here, but it still lacked seasoning. While it was cooked well and juicy, the flavor just wasn't there. The tortillas were also undercooked.
