Jeni, Jeni, who can I turn to?…read more Listen, I was in Nashville for the week and I was here every night. Why? Is it because Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams is using Direct Trade ingredients? Nah. I just liked their ice cream flavors. First time ever at Jeni's, I had the Bramble Berry Crisp Ice cream in a homemade waffle cone. Jeni created an Oven-toasted oat streusel with a sweet-tart brambleberry jam and layered it throughout vanilla ice cream. The final result? That's some mit-T-fine ice cream, one might say (pinkie to lip, splendid?) The next night I zeroed in on the Salted Peanut Butter with Chocolate Flecks. Jeni made this ice cream gem with fresh, salted roasted peanuts and chips of rich Belgian dark chocolate flecks. The end result? Jeni, I think I want to marry you. Creamy, dreams peanut butter ice cream stuffed into a warm waffle cone. I see Jeni's ice cream pints in the supermarket. It may be good but gimme a fresh scoop of this delicious ice cream. The wait for ordering was not long which is a plus. However I feel their ordering system could be a little more streamlined, there are a lot of clicks for each item. I am used to SS in Chicago and it's the same there too. I ordered nothing crazy, a cheeseburger with added pickles and some fries, and an Arnold Palmer (50/50 lemonade and tea). We waited at our table and eventually got the text our food was ready but it took over 10 minutes after that to come out. At one point they tried to bring us someone else's food and they seemed very confused about it when we said that wasn't my order. I confirmed before we left that we didn't make a mistake while ordering so it wasn't something we did. When the food did come out it had clearly been sitting for some time. The bun had not been fully cut in half and this was not even visible inside the wrapping. It was crumpled up in a cold soggy mess at the bottom of the wrapping and was inedible. I essentially ate a naked burger. The cheese had solidified and was not at all melted showing how long the food was sitting. The fries were thankfully not cold but lukewarm at best. And to top it off my drink was incorrect, it tasted and looked like strawberry lemonade. I ended up throwing much of the meal in the trash. The person delivering the food should have noticed this was not up to par and sent it back. The cleanliness was also not up to the standard I expect at SS but considering their location and time of day I would give them a pass. Would not recommend coming here after hours.

Ice cream and milkshake are popular. We had cotton candy ice cream with sprinkles. It is definitely very cotton candy taste. I'm not that into sweet, but it's pretty good. Creamy and soft. Good portion for the money. Service is quick even with a line. Tables and seats in food hall but most people prob do take out and walk around the neighborhood.

The bowl is literally made up of two tiny scoops of açaí that they press down, hollow out in the center, and smear up the sides to make it look full. Once you add toppings, the whole thing is maybe half full at best. For reference, two bowls cost $38 before tip. For that price, I expected a legit serving, not an illusion of one. Super disappointing and definitely not worth the money, even though the flavor was decent. I won't be back.
