korean bbq ribeye rice bowl, trio dip appetizer

The food came out very quickly. It was packed inside when we went for weekend lunch, but we were able to get seating at the bar. My favorite taco is between the Korean pork belly and the shrimp taco. I did not like sitting in front of the juicer at the bar because I got squirted with lime juice a couple of times, so try to avoid that seat if possible. I enjoyed the decor inside and the wait staff were nice. Will most likely be trying other bartacos!

Love this place for the vibe and the price point! All their tacos are delicious but my favorite is pork belly- it has a complex flavour profile and joy provoking. Service is quick and staff was very nice. Expect a wait time of around 20 mins even if you go around 8:30 pm.

We were visiting Nashville and one of my goals during my stay was to eat at Bartaco because we used to have one in Alabama. I really miss the one we had. It was one of my favorite spots. The feel of the restaurant is slightly upscale but fun and laid back at the same time. It gives you a kind of vacation vibe. With its low lighting and woven baskets. The dragon fly is their logo, and you can put up the dragonfly sign, included at the table, when you need service. This is such a wonderful thing because the wait staff isn't wasting their time or your time. The food is really good. I like that you can order as many tacos as you like and mix and match. My favorites are the mojo pork carnitas and the chicken Verde. I also love their street corn. If you are a hot and spicy kind of person, they offer haberno, jalapeno and roja sauces.

WOOOOWWW *said like Owen Wilson* I cannot stress this enough when I say even writing about these tacos has me salivating! I have never had such amazing tacos in my entire life, and that's saying something given everywhere I've lived. We sat on the patio - it had such a wonderful ambiance. It was crowded but it felt lively instead of overwhelming. Our waiter was AMAZING! I wish I could remember his name, but he was so patient with us and had amazing recommendations. The lobster tacos were top tier as was the elote. My kids were practically licking their plates. Lots of flavor combos and unique concepts for taco form. Yall should definitely check it out! Parking was available across the street for free. ;)

SO SO GOOD!! Heard this place was known for their MARGS -- AND yes! They were amazing, fresh & flavorful. We had a short wait, was told 45-1 hr but waited maybe 30-45, yay. They have a lovely bartender outside making drinks while you wait. I got a regular marg on the rocks w sugar and tajin rim, amazing. Appetizer sampler - try it all, so delicious. Ordered the street tacos and I got the ahi tuna crispy rice bowl. Every bite was perfection -- great flavors, authentic. Can't wait to come back, the food and drinks are craveable. In a lovely, walkable part of Nash. Great shopping around

me and my friend love the spicy margs here! We also got the Baja fish taco, carne asada taco, street corn, and a pitcher of spicy margs ‍ Ambiance was great, margs were amazing

Brett was our waiter when my friends and I came in for a lunch on Valentine's Day. We checked in on the waitlist before we drove up from Franklin and still waited about 20 minutes for a table so I ordered the Pineapple Pisco Punch to sip on while we waited. Bartaco has the best assortment of tacos and fun sides too. We tried the Plantains and I got the ahi taco, sesame steak and chicken tinga tacos. Everything was delicious and Brett was really sweet and attentive too. This place is super fun and delicious. I had been to their Atlanta location way too long ago and was really glad to try this location out as well cuz man I had missed their food...and drinks!! I hardly drink anymore but I had to get a cocktail here cuz they're on POINT!!

We had a delish dinner at @bartacolife Nashville this weekend! Great vibes fantastic food and service. It was super hot, so despite their efforts to keep the patio seating cooler we sat inside. We started with the chips, salsa and guac. All delicious! The chips are full-sized tortillas so you have to come to grips with the fact that your table took down a stack of tortillas, but they are so tasty and the salsas and guac are great. The grapefruit ginger agua fresca was my absolute fave! We enjoyed ours NA but you can add your favorite adult beverage if you choose. I loved the cauliflower (with pistachio chimichurri!!) and the pork belly tacos. The sesame ribeye was tasty, too. The retro pork pastor seems to have been missing all of the toppings so that was a bummer, but the meat was good. My husband and daughter loved the Baja fish taco - they would have had more than one of those next time. The duck taco was also tasty. I loved all of the hot sauces, too. We tried the black beans and the cucumber salad on the side. We were told the corn fritters on the menu at their Madison, WI location are legendary, so we may need to take a field trip. Everyone we encountered was super friendly and helpful, and we can't wait to visit again next time we're in town!

We stumbled upon Bartaco while walking 12 South and we enjoyed every single thing we ate and drank. The taco teaser was perfect for sharing - street corn, guacamole, cucumber salad, and the best fried plantains. I ordered the poke tuna and I wish I had a Bartaco in Austin so I could eat this weekly. The sauce was everything with a tiny hint of heat. The watermelon mint marg and honeydew agua Fresca spike with vodka were both light and refreshing. We loved them! The tacos are smaller street tacos but we really enjoyed the chicken verde and Baja fish. Service was also friendly and fast and we liked the indoor outdoor seating because it was a beautiful day. If ever in Nash again, I'll be back!

Flautas soooo good but if you don't like spice, ask them to leave off the red sauce

Met my sister here for her birthday. Very cute decor! I love a dimly lit restaurant! Very chill atmosphere. Warmly greeted by the bartender and the bar manager, Matt. Who was from my hometown! The food was good as well as the drinks. Had it not been a work night, I would've easily stayed to have another drink.

Yum! Bartaco is the Bomb! Great energy in this place & love the outdoor seating. Makes me feel like I am on vacay every time I come here. The food is delicious ( although portions kind of small so order a bunch of items to try). I highly recommend the Fish Tacos. Insanely good! Holy Moley is the Guacamole creamy & yummy! Service is good too! You will love this place I promise! Go today you will thank me.

We came in on a Saturday night with a party of 10, fully expecting a long wait--and it was (quoted around 2 to 2.5 hours)--but the staff truly went above and beyond to accommodate us. They were incredibly patient as we checked in multiple times, always kind and transparent about how many parties were ahead of us. At one point, they even rearranged a few things to squeeze us into a table much sooner than expected, which we really appreciated. Once seated, the experience only got better. The manager came by right away to check on us, which set the tone for the night. Our waitress was amazing--so friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful with everything from recommendations to making sure our large group had everything we needed. And the food... absolutely worth the wait. Everything we ordered was a 10/10--the salsa, the guacamole, the tacos--all fresh and packed with flavor. And the margaritas? So good. For such a busy night and a large group, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Exceptional service, delicious food, and a team that truly cares. We'll definitely be back!

    There is no happy hour.

Is it kid friendly? Thinking of taking my family in the afternoon

Yes, I would say this place is very kid friendly. Not a wild scene, and definitely feels like a restaurant that happens to have a bar, not a bar that serves tacos.

    Do they accept reservations?

There is no mention of reservations on the business's webpage.

Is it pet friendly on patio?

    Absolutely! We love Pets!

Did they change their menu items within the last year? I miss the old menu especially the shrimp.

I'm not sure of the menu you are referring to, but I was there in January 2020 and again in June 2020. The menu was the same...very good!!!..each time...even with the restrictions with the virus. Great place to go!!!

    No they do not...😩😩😩

I don't think I've ever had a restaurant ask that before! He was also super attentive and kept our waters refilled so quickly throughout the meal. One thing we really liked was the atmosphere. We loved all the fun live music spots around Nashville too, but this was a nice change of pace if you're looking for more of a chill, relaxed vibe where you can easily enjoy conversation during dinner. I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised. The guacamole and chips were the standout of the meal. The guacamole was incredibly fresh, packed with flavor, and served alongside warm, freshly made tortilla chips that were hard to stop eating. We also ordered the esquites, since I'm a huge fan of authentic elote preparado. The flavors were delicious and well-balanced. My only suggestion would be to serve the esquites warm, I promise it truly takes the dish to another level. As for the tacos, the presentation was beautiful. The Al Pastor tacos looked fantastic, but they leaned a little too sweet for my taste and were missing some of the bold, smoky flavors I associate with traditional Al Pastor, like guajillo chiles, oregano, and other aromatic spices. On the other hand, the chicken tacos were excellent. They were juicy, well-seasoned, and flavorful enough to shine without needing much from the toppings. To top it all off, our server was friendly, attentive, and helped make the entire experience enjoyable. Overall, Bakersfield exceeded my expectations. While it may not replace the authentic taco shops of the Southwest, it's definitely a solid choice in Nashville, especially if you're craving flavorful Mexican-inspired food before a night out.

I've loved Ford Fry establishments for a long time, though his Nashville outposts tend to pale in comparison to the Atlanta originals, and Little Rey kind of fits that pattern. Little Rey serves Tex-Mex in a casual setting next to the Vanderbilt campus. You order at the counter and seat yourself, making this an ideal spot for a cheap, casual lunch or dinner with a crew. There's a dedicated private parking lot (almost unheard of in this area!) and lots of great indoor and outdoor seating. I came in the early evening on a weekday for dinner and it wasn't too crowded. My chips and piping hot queso came out immediately, and my chicken al carbon taco was ready by the time I got back from the salsa bar. The salsa bar is free and amazing: 6 cold dips and 1 hot dip, full of freshness and flavor. I opted for two of the mild sauces, which were super fresh tasting but not spicy whatsoever (that was on me and my choice). One small note: the self-serve setup made the salsa bar a little messy and unkempt, and I wish it had been tidied up a bit between customers. I came in craving great chips and salsa and on that point Little Rey absolutely delivered. The chips were thin, crispy, salty, and delicious. The queso was super hot and liquidy, not spicy. Perfection. The taco itself was more of a letdown: flour tortilla was cold, chicken was a bit dry, and without the addition of salsa it felt lacking in flavor. They're supposed to be well known for chicken here, so that was disappointing. For dessert I got the vanilla soft serve with chocolate and crushed buñuelos on top. Smooth, creamy, with perfect toppings. The large was a bit too much, but at $5 it was an unbeatable price for a tasty dessert. My whole meal, dessert included, was under $20, which was such a pleasant and affordable change of pace to the surrounding area. Service was friendly, kind, and fast. I'd come back for the chips and queso and soft serve alone, but I'll keep my expectations low for the other items.
