Don't be fooled by their promotion. all lies. I was drawn to the store by a promotional ad from their email and Instagram stating 45% off a certain brand. I wasted a free day driving through la traffic all the way to long beach only to be told they knew nothing of a sale. I showed the employee the email and he still refused to give me the discount. I reached out via email and ig and still nothing. Edit. The ig person I talked to was very nice. I showed my receipt more than a week ago. I followed up and they gave me some bs about list price and the price on the label were different. Even when the attendant said a different number. I bought the items they said were on sale for a price similar to other places without a sale. All in all they bs on their promotions. 45% off should not be the same price I can get on Amazon.

Entering the store I was taken by the stock. Many products and well organized. I waited a few minutes as sales folks took care of others. Then Mikey helped me find an insecticide and measuring cups, etc.. We then talked about the stage my plant is in and spoke about root growth and health. Good sales staff, Mikey. And prices are fair. I'll be back. Ok I came back to return a humongous drying tray set. A week ago I came in to ask about drying and if they had a rack or tray? For my four skinny initial outdoor growth. I figured I might harvest a couple ounces in total four if everything clicked. The sales clerk steered me to a 50 dollar hanging tray set. It looked very compact in its nice holding bag. Although the price was higher than I could afford I bought it. Man when I opened it, I was shocked! It had four black net trays in two units. Oh, about three feet in circumference. I need to return this tray set as it is for about half a pound per tray. This is not what I asked for nor is it what I expected when I opened the bag. So today I'm hoping for goodwill and understanding from the folks here at Green Coast. Update! I returned home to find the receipt. Didn't find it . Will call mgr and ask what are my options.

Ask the Community - GreenCoast Long Beach

Hello. I was wondering if you carry 20 gallon squat planter pots and Fox farm soil?

Good Morning Lyndel - We do carry 20 Gallon Plastic pots. Unfortunately we are currently out of stock. We do have them on order and should be in by the end of the week.

I noticed a review back in 2014 saying co2 refills for $10 is this still available?

Sorry I don't know about that since I only went to get fox farm potting soil

As I live in Northern California (Crockett), I tried Armstrong here hoping to score a plant. Talked w a guy who said that he was sold out of the particular plant, and I was sort of bummed, but accepted the fact that after trying another vendor, no luck would be on my side. After noodling around the store for other cool stuff, I get this "Hey!" and low and behold he found 2 Cousin It plants for me! I was surprised and happy he found them! He went out of his way to look for this particular plant and let me know that they had them! I went home happy and just stoked that this kind of customer service STILL existed in this world! Not long after planting, the tree didn't seem to be developing properly, so I stopped by looking for advice. The experience was disappointing. The employee helping me appeared visibly intoxicated in the middle of the day (someone I believe is connected to ownership, as I had met him during the purchase). He was unhelpful and dismissive, so I left without any real guidance. I continued trying to care for the tree, but within two months it died. When I returned to ask whether there was any warranty, replacement option, or even assistance toward purchasing a new tree, I was met by a rude employee who immediately became defensive, repeatedly emphasizing that they are a "family-owned business" while offering zero accountability or solutions. Instead, I was blamed for the tree dying, despite the fact that I had already come in previously asking for help. For a business that sells and installs expensive trees, I expected at least some level of customer service, support, or professionalism. Instead, I got poor advice, no accountability, and an overall hostile experience. I'll be taking my business elsewhere and would recommend others do the same. Update: After digging up the dead tree, it was obvious why it failed. The root ball was extremely tight and root-bound, likely from sitting too long in the nursery box. It only had two mature roots supporting it, and both had been cut during removal and installation. They also didn't use fresh soil when planting it, which gave it little chance to establish. I went to another family-owned nursery afterward, and the difference was clear--they stood behind their product and offered a one-year warranty.

A holy grail! Tons…read moreof plants both native & nonnative that you wouldn't find at a large-scale store like Home Depot or Lowe's (I know because I've been looking). Going on their website is helpful because you can see what is in stock, but I had no idea how vast this place was. I'd only been looking at CA native plants, so from my parking spot to the pick-up desk I maybe only covered 1/15th of the area, if that. I've been looking for a local nursery with a wide selection of California natives, & have been lurking Ricardo's Nursery's online selection for a month. Finally purchased a 1-gallon Cleveland sage (Salvia clevelandii 'Winnifred Gilman') for $12 & a 1-gallon Yankee Point Carmel Creeper (Ceanothus griseus var. horizontalis 'Yankee Point') for $10. They had different variations of each plant reserved for me for me to choose from which was so endearing because I am secretly picky. Spoke with Jose who was super cool. There's also a very chill dog :) I was surprised by how vast the selection was in-person. The white sage (salvia apiana) in stock is just gorgeous. There are soooo many others I want to purchase, so thank goodness for my wallet that my project is fairly limited. (For now!) I would've wandered around photographing every single plant if it wasn't a million degrees outside & I didn't have to be somewhere. In just the 3 minutes it took me to walk to the pick-up stand, many plants caught my eye & I was reading the labels to figure out who they were. Really loved this one plant I saw--Silver Falls dichondra (Dichondra argentea 'Silver Falls'). I cannot wait to come back when I have more time & resources to devote to gardening so that I can find more little friends. Thank you so much Ricardo's Nursery...!!

He finally bought what looks like a twig to me, planted it in a pot & has been watering it. I can't even tell if it will come alive or not & there are no leaves or sprouts, or any sign of life to it yet. I searched Yelp & found Ricardo's and called them yesterday. They said they jave several 15 gallon persimmon trees & delivery will be $20. We went today & they had varying heights of 15 gallon persimmon trees, ranging from $150-180. We wanted to get the 15 gallon so we can get reimbursed partially for it as we are participating in LB's Lawn to Garden program. Today they said delivery will be $35 (we live 3.5 miles away) so I am taking one star away for raising the delivery fee once we are at the store. But otherwise, everyone was helpful, knowledgeable, & friendly. One staff even pry opened an ice cream fruit & my husband tasted it. (I'm not so adventurous so I demurred...) They have many mango trees, avocado trees, pomegranate trees, drago fruit trees, & many, many other plants. We only stayed in the entrance area & there were so many plants. They have many drought tolerant plants, including succulents. They do not have citrus trees due to fruit flies & state quarantine zone rules. Overall, nice big nursery with helpful staff. Glad we found them & will be back!!
