I stopped to take a few photos and noticed they had a restaurant inside. I was pleasantly surprised with their healthy selections for the day. Vegetable stir fry over rice was delicious. Their homemade chicken salad is juts like my mom used to make. I ordered the chocolate shake and the sweet young server told me it wasn't your typical chocolate shake as it was dairy-free, made with soy icecream and oat milk and their own homemade chocolate syrup. To start, this area of Madison is not the best, so the exterior/parking lot stays scattered with trash and litter, and it is normal to be accosted by folks walking or out. This is no fault of the store itself, but just a heads up. The interior of the store has seen a revamp in the past few months with the update of the HealthHub first, followed by the front register area and now the updates are starting to hit the actual store and pharmacy, which is great. HealthHub has been hit and miss with service. Appointments are required, but have no real impact on your wait or seen time. The nurses are not exactly friendly. It is weirdly very transactional, but I guess I can understand when they see a constant flow of folks for all types of stuff. After my second visit to the HealthHub, I actually chose to get me a primary care physician as I couldn't do it another time. This location is my primary pharmacy and I will say that the pharmacy is easily 5 star for me. The pharmacists are always great, I love the messaging system for prescriptions and enjoy the ease of getting any needed vaccines. Overall, not the best CVS, but I am happy with the pharmacy.

Sometimes customer service has been nice or fine, though (e.g. one time the photo department called me when they found my photo order, which I appreciated - since when I went to pick it up the first time, they didn't find it). The liquid anti-biotic prescribed had to be kept refrigerated and he wasn't told about it, so it got left out went bad (I do admit I should have checked the bag). However, I have also always been told by other pharmacies. I did call on Sunday and there was a number to leave a message for urgent matters, which I did. I figured at the latest I would get a text or call Monday. They never followed up. I would not care too much if it was not something major, but surgery is pretty important. I am not trying to be cruel or hurt their business, but I hope they see this and change how they handle certain things, because it was very badly done, and the last thing I want to worry about right now is chasing down medicine I need that I should have had.

Inside was clean, but the parking lot needs some attention. Service is okay. I wouldn't classify it as friendly, but neither rude. Somewhere along the lines of "meh".
